  1. Hi Harry,
  2.
  3. Firstly, really sorry for the delay here. I have been really stretched the last month with conferences, team trips and all the bits in between. Think we should arrange a call this week if possible and I can run you through last board update + the below.
  4.
  5. I want us to do 3 months together to get this going - think we are on same song-sheet here around understanding how best to work together. The remit is quite simple in its first iteration, essentially working with senior mgmt around the following:
  6.
  7. - Understand product today + product vision and give it a kick / applause
  8. - Understand our business model. Critique it and identify what we are missing.
  9. - Get involved in people gaps (i've not run a large scale media business before), you know what it takes to get to platform scale
  10. - Sales channels. I know we can get to scale by working more closely with third parties. No doubt your contacts and experience will be invaluable here.
  11.
  12. All of this culminates in presenting something back to my board, with aim of getting everyone very excited and off the back of that, more clearly pinning down your role with us moving forward.
  13.
  14. On compensation, we will pay a day rate of £X. On shares, your proposal for upto 3% over several years - I don't have enough shares in the pot to commit to that today, but we can work on getting that right during the 3 month dating period. As you know, these types of agreement are initially made on a degree of trust, but suffice to say I am very excited to get working with you, we both know/feel this thing has substantial legs…
  15.
  16. When we talk (this week I hope), there are loads of good things (300% uplift for William Hill over existing capability, agreement with Paddy Power Betfair, Retail sign off launch, Comcast moving in right direction, Facebook contacted us directly around working together) and not so good (revenues down on plan, product taking ages, people gaps/hiring speed, family office still winding me up)…but…overall, I cant help but feel this is going to work big time.
