  1. So I was on the UAlberta campus in a restaurant with all my friends from high school, and we were catching up on everything from the past three years. Suddenly, we look out the front window, and we see something wack. You know how at construction sites sometimes you see big drum coils of electrical cable? Like, these are pretty big, usually as tall as a person if not taller when they're on their side. Here's a picture (https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/cable-drum-coil-electrical-isolated-cable-28025572.jpg).

  3. Anyway, one of these was rolling down the street on its own, and it crashes through the front window of a Wal-Mart across the street (even though my campus doesn't have a Wal-Mart on it lol). Then we hear screaming from inside. Not super unusual, cuz who's gonna expect a drum coil to come crashing through a store wall? But soon after that, we're all gathered at the front window of the restaurant to watch, and to our horror, we see the drum coil roll back out, now targeting the building next to the one we're in.

  5. At this point I was super freaked out, so I got the heck out of there and ran out the back door of the restaurant. For some reason it connected directly to the Education building car park, so I ended up there with a bunch of other students and staff. At first nobody else was aware of what was going on, but eventually we all looked down at ground level and now there were drum coils rolling around all over the place, trying to run people over. Somehow I knew they were remote-controlled by some dude who was trying to take over the campus with them LOL. It was pandemonium. The police had arrived, and they along with construction workers who had already been present on campus (cuz our campus always has construction workers) were trying their best to guide students and staff out of harm's way.

  7. Somehow I was aware that there had been design blueprints circulating on the internet for a device that could "reverse the polarity" (I'm pretty sure that's not how it actually works) of the transmitters on the drum coils. When the device was activated in close proximity to a coil, they would temporarily roll the other way and stop targeting students. So there were some police and staff that were running around with these hastily constructed devices also trying to prevent people from being run over.

  9. I think in my dream, the Ed car park had like a mechanic shop, so some dude managed to whip up one of these devices and we spilled out of the car park onto ground level to try to escape.
  10.
  11. Navigating campus was a pain, because the police and construction workers had blocked off any flat, open area, since it was too dangerous to be there as the drum coils had too much space to roll over you. So I was running around campus for a while, trying to not die while also trying to find my friends who I'd been separated from earlier. At various points I found other people who I knew also, but also ended up getting separated from them. Again, it was still pandemonium because there were only so many devices and hundred of people running around trying not to die.
  12.
  13. Eventually, I found Deck in the southwest corner of campus and we resolved to try to make it to HUB Mall, which is a large indoor street building on the east side of campus. If you've been there, then you'd know it'd be an ideal place to hole up from this kind of thing. Why we didn't just leave campus beats me. In dreams I'm significantly dumber.
  14.
  15. We worked our way up the west side of campus, running into dead ends and avoiding several close calls. At some point Deck snatched a device from a prof and that made our lives a lot easier. I guess by then it was devolving into every man for himself.
  16.
  17. After that, we ran across the north side of campus, hiding in bushes to avoid being spotted by several patrolling coils. I presume we made it to HUB after that, but then I woke up. Imagine if university life was always this exciting.
