Hey peeps,

As some may have noticed, I've been shifting away from my given name of Matthew toward Madison, and have hyphenated James' and my last names.  The reasons are various, but the end result is that I'd just like to give you all forewarning that I'll be updating my presence across the web, including through Google Apps and launchpad.  Since my legal name hasn't changed yet (Colorado's requirements for such are quite stringent), various things such as the means with which I interact with payroll and my email address will remain Matthew Scott; it's unavoidable.

While I do not expect this to change immediately and permanently in our personal and professional interactions, I would appreciate this name-change propagating among you all as well.  Please do not worry if you use the older name - I really truly do not mind - but please be open to corrections and willing to help me out with this.

Thanks for the note and heads up. I think this is something we can all get
behind. It'll require some reprogramming, so I ask that you make sure
you're patient with us, and don't be afraid to keep at some gentle prodding
until the reprogramming takes effect.

Thanks for the note and I’ll certainly do my best.  Old habits die hard as you know, but gentle reminders will be appreciated.

Of course you didn’t mention changing your IRC nick from Makyo, so I suspect I and many will continue to informally use that IRL too.

Just wanted to affirm, on a personal level, that I'll do what I can to be supportive in this change. Feel free to correct should I forget; I also will not mind one bit. Thanks for the heads up, I suspect that took a bit of courage on your part.
