Her proficiency lies in the use of a medium to channel the flow of her mana and attack others with this 'energy' she radiates. In other words, Sinner and Saint give her a great connection to her origin, and the manipulation of others at the very soul of their being.
Her heritage gives her an advantage in the realm of alchemy, but being so distant a relation to the original Eltnam bloodline, it is questionable as to whether the skill will fully manifest. At present, she is enrolled in Atlas Academy in Egypt to train. She is shown to be quite capable of converting her elemental affinity through the various states of matter.

The Eltnam family, once prominent among the world of magi, were a noble house of alchemists feared and scorned for their alchemical creation of the substance, Etherlite. Approximately 500 years before, its ruination was brought about by the transformation of the family head, Zepia Eltnam Oberon, into a Dead Apostle. The Eltnam family eventually split, and while some stayed connected to the main line, others severed the connection and went their separate ways, walking away from the realm of magi. The Japanese branch, Eltnam-Rikumori, was one of the deserters and have been that way for approximately four and a half centuries.
It wasn't until Kosmina's mother, Josefina Eltnam Rikumori, married a man coming from an irrelevant clan of magi that she thought to peer into her own family's chronicles and try and revive some of the lost art. It wasn't very successful- her magic circuitry was painful to awaken, and she never got very far. The teachings, however, were not lost on her, so when she gave birth to a successor at long last, she could and would pass them on. Of course, her husband's family's magical crest would be in need of passing on, as well. They would later have a son to pick that up- everything Josefina learned of alchemy was passed to Kosmina, their first-born, who showed proficiency at an early age.
