  1. GENERAL ITEM ASSEMBLY RULES

  3. Difficulty Rating: (DR)
  4. In the following passage, "unit" refers to the appropriate length of time, depending on whether the project is short, mid, or long term.
  5.  
  6. The difficulty rating is the check the assembler must pass for each time period.
  7. EX: a DR of 10:
  8. If he rolls a 10 or greater (standard success), then the time remaining is reduced by 1 unit, as according to schedule.
  9. If he rolls a 9 or lower (standard failure), then during this unit of time no progress was made.
  10. If he succeeds by a margin of 3 or more (a 13 or greater--Exemplary Success), then 2 units of time are taken off the schedule; he made double progress this week.
  11. If he fails by a margin of 3 or more (a 7 or less--Severe Failure), then he damaged the progress already made; an additional unit of time is added to the schedule. Severe failures may not occur during the first unit of time.

  13. The Expert special ability may not be used on item assembly.

  17. Manpower Rating: (MR)
  18. 1 = Work rating times assume the presence of 1 person.
  19. 2 = Work rating times assume the presence of 2 people.

  22. Doing Projects with less than the requisite manpower:
  23. For each 1 person less working on the project that the MP rating, the WR is doubled.

  28. Work rating: (WR)
  29. 1 = 1 hour
  30. 2 = 2 hours

  34. Work rating: (WR)

  40. Work rating: (WR)
  41. 1 = 1 week

  48. (All percents adjust the base value.)
  49. Poor tools: +25% time
  50. Adequate tools: +0% time
  51. Good tools: -10% time
  52. First Additional Manpower: -20% time
  53. (if MP rating is 3, then this means having an additional 3 people)
  54. Second Additional Manpower: -10% time
  55. (no additional manpowers may be applied)
  56. Investment of Nearly All Available Time:
  57. -20% (if applied to Base Manpower)
  58. -10% (if applied to First Additional Manpower)
  59. -5% (if applied to Second Additional Manpower
