Things to take note for MPWSQISM Station 1 Practical:
- Details you must clarify with the outgoing shift before beginning your duty: 1. Any outstanding activities in the past 2 hours. 2. Any additional instruction to the standard procedures.
- In standard voice procedure, you use 'positive' and 'negative' in place of 'yes' and 'no'.
- What details should you write in your pocket notebook if you encounter any suspicious articles: 1. Date, time and place of occurrence. 2. Characteristics of suspicious articles. 3. Actions taken.

What to study for MPWSQISM Station 1 Practical:
- Basic equipment you would need as a prowler before beginning duty (Pg. 95)
- Dress code and equipment for duty (Pg. 26)
- Tasks and responsibilities of a patrol (Especially 5.3.8 c and d) (Pg. 97)
- Approved terminology for standard voice procedure (Pg. 96)

Things to take note for MPWSQISM Station 2 Practical:
- Information you should look to take down when you receive a bomb threat call: Name and contact number of caller, time of call, precise place of bomb threat or chemical hazard, language spoken, accent and tone, mental stare of caller/manner of speaking, role of the caller (i.e. terrorist, informant etc.), background noises.
- Information you should try to find out when you receive a bomb threat call: What the bomb looks like, time remaining to detonation, what will set the bomb off, size of bomb and type of explosive used.
- Steps to take when dealing with a suspected anthrax parcel: 1. Handle article securely with care. 2. Place envelope or package in a plastic bag or some other type of container to help prevent leakage of contents if letter or package is unopened. 3. Cover the envelope or package with items such as clothing, paper or plastic cover if a container cannot be found to contain the spread.
- Possible ways to identify contents of suspected IED parcel: 1. Contact addressee/sender when written on the letter or parcel. 2. Use CCTV footage.
- Knowledge you have of your camp/surroundings that can assist the higher authorities: 1. Assembly area 2. Routes of evacuation 3. Camp access points (front and rear gate)
- How we can offer help to emergency services: Verbally enquire with relevant authorities on necessary assistance.

- You can verify any information provided by suspicious subject with: 1.  Guard Commander 2. DO 3. Ops Centre 4. Any specific unit/personnel the subject references
- In the event your communication device is not working, record down necessary details in pocket notebook
- Order people should be examined for TTI of person-borne threats: 1. Head 2. Body 3. Arms 4. Legs
- When Desk IC, if you receive a call reporting lost items, immediately note down: 1. Name, NRIC and phone number of complainant 2. Location of caller
- While prowling, if you encounter someone who is suspected of committing a criminal offense: 1. Vigilantly observe the subject until he leaves the premises) 2. Perform security questioning and consensual conversation with the subject (Check for: a) name and rank if any b) verify subject's identity with documentation proof c) ask for subject's purpose on premise) 3. Perform search on subject.
- 4 pointers to take note when performing a search: 1. Approach with open mind, don't stereotype. 2. Maintain professionalism and firmness in your request to search subject and his belongings. 3. Be alert to react (one MP search, one observe subject's behaviour) 4. Maintain a safe distance (one arm's length) when communicating.
- Memorize steps on what to write in seizure bag and how to use it: 1. Place seized item into the bag, fold bag to suit the size of the seized item. 2. Use adhesive tape to seal the bag. 3. Paste the MINDEF seal sticker between end of the adhesive tape and the bag. 4. Seized item to be recorded into the occurence book. 5. Seized item to be handed over to the DO or investigating officer.
- What s75 (1) CPC basically means: Any person making an arrest should actually have physical contact with who he is arresting, unless the subject verbally or physically submits to the arrest.
- What s75 (1) CPC basically means: If the subject physically resists the arrest, the MP or anyone helping him may use any way possible to make sure the subject is arrested.
- What to write in occurence book: 1. 5W1H 2. Actions taken 3. Whether the case is pending or closed

- Signs of surveillance being conducted (Memorize the different TTI) (Pg. 41)
- Evasive and untruthful answers (Pg. 44)
- Details of incidents to provide relevant person/authorities (Pg. 54)
- TTI of person-borne threats (MEMORIZE ALL of them according to their categories) (Pg. 59)
