backstory (min.4/max.8 sentences) — as his members know, atlas was born in a car approaching the canadian-american border. his mother didn't get him a visa or even contact DACA. as a child, he'd always had anger issues. when he was 6, he punched a boy who stole his cookie in the throat and threatened anyone who touched his crayons with kiddie scissors. these anger issues continued until he turned sixteen, when his mother told him a secret about his father, and became even worse than before. his father was someone he never knew and was never talked about. his mother, harin/hannah, was a waitress in a local seoul restaurant when she was raped walking home. ashamed, harin got an american visa and began to save up money to move. it had been 9 months, and harin was pregnant. she took a plane to canada and tried crossing the border there when she went into labor. she had her fucking baby in a fucking car. when they arrived in america, atlas's papers were just listed as south korean. his mother treated him like he was a stranger nearly his entire life, forcing him to care for himself. she never even acknowledged him when she got a new husband and a new kid. atlas's reaction to this, to being the product of a rape, was horrible. the day after his birthday, halloween, he set fire to a local safeway. he got arrested and in the end. the police discovered he wasn't an american citizen and deported him, just like that. while in the korean version of foster care, he met his new parents, eunha and ryuwon, and new twin siblings, seohyun and minhyun. it took him a while to warm up to them, but it happened. he became engrossed in music and learnt to produce and play the piano and drums, posting videos of him rapping and producing on youtube. companies scouted him, but in the end he became an artist at kq.
