「りょ、竜馬さんのクローンだって…!」
Koji: Y-You’re Ryoma’s clone!?

リョウマ
「厳密に言えば、
こことは違う世界にいた流竜馬の…だ」
RYOMA: Technically, I’m the clone of a different world’s Ryoma Nagara.

隼人
「………」
Hayato: ...

竜馬
「…誰がてめえを創った?」
Ryoma: ...So who the heck made you?

リョウマ
「その情報は持っていない。
俺達に与えられたのは、ゲッターノワール…
そして、ブラフマーと戦う使命だ」
RYOMA: I don’t know all the details. We were only given our Getter Noirs... And our mission to fight Brahma.

鉄也
「ゲッターノワール…」
Tetsuya: Getter Noirs...

隼人
「俺達…と言ったか。
他にもクローンがいるようだな」
Hayato: You said “we” just then. I take it there are other clones?

甲児
「もしかして、それは…」
Koji: That could be...

リョウマ
「ああ、神隼人と巴武蔵のクローンだ。
ゲッターノワール2号機と3号機に乗り、
共に戦っていた」
RYOMA: Yeah, there are clones of Hayato Jin and Musashi Tomoe. They pilot Getter Noirs Unit-2 and Unit-3, and fight together with me.

弁慶
「先輩のクローン…
なら、お前の世界にいた俺は…
竜馬と隼人、先輩のオリジナルはどうなった?」
Benkei: Musashi’s clone... Then, there should be a “me” in your world too... What happened to Ryoma, Hayato, and Musashi’s original selves?

リョウマ
「俺の中にはオリジナルである流竜馬の
記憶が存在しており、それにアクセスすることは
出来るが…」
RYOMA: I have the memories of the original Ryoma Nagare within me, and I can access them, but...

リョウマ
「本人達がどうなったかは知らない」
RYOMA: I have no idea what happened to any of them.

竜馬
「ふん…
別の世界の俺の行く末なんぞに興味はねえ。
俺は、俺だ」
Ryoma: Hmph... Well, it’s not as if I really care what happened to me in a different world. I am who I am.

リョウマ
「俺は与えられた使命を果たすため、敵を倒す。
それだけだ」
RYOMA: My only interest is fulfilling the mission given to me and defeating my enemies. That’s all there is to it.

甲児
「…だから、さっきは
あんな戦い方をしたってのか」
Koji: ...So that’s why you fought the way you did before?

リョウマ
「完全な勝利を得るために、
切り捨てなければならないものがある。
敗北は己の死を意味するからな」
RYOMA: Some things have to be sacrificed to achieve total victory. That’s how it is when defeat means your own death.

甲児
「何だと…!?」
Koji: What’d you say--!?

鉄也
「兜、やめろ」
Tetsuya: That’s enough, Koji.

甲児
「鉄也さん…」
Koji: But, Tetsuya...

鉄也
「こいつと俺達では住んでいた世界が…
価値観が違うんだ」
Tetsuya: He lived in a different world from us... His principles aren’t the same as ours.

リョウマ
「………」
RYOMA: ...

鉄也
「しかし、俺達はこの世界に生きる人々を…
大切なものを守るために戦っている」
Tetsuya: But, in our world, we fight to protect people. ...We fight to protect what’s precious to us.

鉄也
「だから、ここではお前の論理が
絶対ではないということを理解しろ」
Tetsuya: So you should understand that your usual logic won’t always apply here.

リョウマ
「それで完全な勝利が得られるのならな」
RYOMA: So long as it leads to a complete victory.

宙
「…やれやれ、こいつには響いてねえみたいだぜ」
Hiroshi: ...Somehow, I don’t think it’s getting through to him.

甲児
「………」
Koji: ...

隼人
「…次の質問だ。
お前の仲間…俺と武蔵のクローンはどこだ?
一緒にこの世界へ跳ばされたのか?」
Hayato: ...Next question. Your friends... Where are the clones of Musashi and I? Were they sent to this world along with you?

リョウマ
「その可能性は高いが、連絡が取れない。
おそらく、向こうの通信機が壊れているんだろう」
RYOMA: There’s a good chance of that, but I haven’t been able to contact them. Their transmitter was probably damaged.

リョウマ
「だから、あの二人を捜そうと思っている」
RYOMA: That’s why I want to go look for them.

弁慶
「見つかったら、どうするんだ?」
Benkei: And what will you do once you find them?

リョウマ
「ブレーンワールドへ戻る方法を見つけ出す。
あそこには俺達の戦いがあるからな」
RYOMA: Then we’ll look for a way to return back to the Braneworld. That is where our battle will continue.

隼人
「いいだろう。
黒いゲッター2とゲッター3についての情報は
俺達が集めてやる」
Hayato: That’s fine. We’ll do what we can to gather information on black Getter-2s and Getter-3s.

隼人
「お前はタワーへ…俺達の拠点へ来い。
機体を調べさせてもらう。必要であれば、
修理もしてやろう」
Hayato: You’ll come with us to the Tower... Our base of operations. We’ll take a look at your machine, and if need be, make repairs to it.

リョウマ
「わかった」
RYOMA: Got it.

(Hayato receives a transmission.)

隼人
「…何だ、ヤマザキ?」
Hayato: ...What is it, Yamazaki?

ヤマザキ
「中佐、中淵市街に[インベーダー]が出現しました」
Yamazaki: Liuetenant Colonel, [Invaders] have appeared in Nakabuchi City.

隼人
「了解した。俺達が対応する」
Hayato: Understood. We’ll take care of them.

甲児
「中淵市なら、民間人は…」
Koji: If it’s Nakabuchi, then the civilians...

弁慶
「非常警戒態勢は解除されていないから、
まだシェルターの中にいるな」
Benkei: The state of emergency hasn’t been lifted yet, so they’ll still be in the shelter.

甲児
「だったら、避難状況を気にしなくていいんですね」
Koji: Then we won’t have to worry about evacuating them.

鉄也
「だが、防衛対象が固まっていると、
防戦一方になる可能性があるぞ」
Tetsuya: But if they target the shelter, then it may be all we can do to protect them.

リョウマ
「………」
RYOMA: ...

甲児
(こいつがもし、お構いなしに戦ったら…)
Koji: (If he’s going to fight without any concern for anything around him, then...)

隼人
「お前達、機体に乗れ。中淵市へ急行するぞ」
Hayato: All of you, get in your mechs. We’re heading for Nakabuchi City immediately.


第2話
『二人の竜馬』
Episode 2
Two Ryomas


(Scene starts on the map screen of Nakabuchi City. The shelter is in the center. All units are on the map and facing down Invaders.)

隼人
「各機へ。ここでシェルターを防衛しつつ、
接近するインベーダーを叩く」
Hayato: All units, defend the shelter by fending off the Invaders.

隼人
「シェルターから離れるな。
あと、被害を抑えるため、高威力の射撃兵器を
街へ向けて発射するなよ」
Hayato: Don’t stray too far from the shelter. Also, don’t use any weapons with a lot of firepower. We’re trying to limit the damage to the city.

鋼鉄ジーグ
「わかったぜ!」
Steel Jeeg: Understood!

甲児
「リョウ、今の話を聞いたな?」
Koji: Ryo, did you hear that just now?

リョウマ
「俺は好きにやる。勝利を得るためにな」
RYOMA: I’m doing whatever I want. Whatever leads to victory.

甲児
「何っ!?」
Koji: What!?

竜馬
「放っておけ、甲児。
てめえはてめえがやるべきことをやれ」
Ryoma: Let it go, Koji. You just do what you’re supposed to do.

甲児
「りょ、了解…!」
Koji: R-Roger...!

弁慶
「…いざとなったら、
俺達でリョウを止めようってのか、竜馬?」
Benkei: ...If it comes down to it, we’ll stop Ryo ourselves, won’t we, Ryoma?

竜馬
「さあな」
Ryoma: We might.

弁慶
(ふっ、そのつもりか)
Benkei: (Heh, so that’s how it is.)

(Battle 1 begins.)

(Battle 1 ends when all Invaders are defeated.)

甲児
「これでインベーダーは…」
Koji: Now the Invaders are all--

(More Invaders suddenly appear around the shelter.)

鋼鉄ジーグ
「くそっ、あんな所に!」
Steel Jeeg: Damn, they’re at the shelter!

甲児
「今度こそ俺が!」
Koji: I’ll get them this time!

(Koji rushes the Invaders.)

甲児
「ここじゃ、飛び道具は使えねえ!
直接叩き潰す!」
Koji: Can’t use firearms here! So I’ll beat them down up close and personal!

(Koji defeats the Invaders.)

甲児
「よし、片付けたぜ!」
Koji: Alright, that’s that!

(Even more Invaders appear and surround Koji.)

甲児
「しまった、囲まれちまった!!」
Koji: Crap, I’m surrounded!

鉄也
「兜!今、行くぞ!」
Tetsuya: Kabuto! Let’s get over there now!

(Invaders appear surrounding Tetsuya, Steel Jeeg, and Ryoma.)

鉄也
「くっ、こいつら!」
Tetsuya: Damn these things!

竜馬
「こっちの足を止める気か!」
Ryoma: You aren’t stopping us!

(The Invaders surrounding Koji close in on him.)

甲児
「!!」
Koji: !!

インベーダー
「キシャァアア!!」
Invader: GYAAAAA!!

(The Invaders attack Koji.)

甲児
「ぐうっ!!」
Koji: Guwaaagh!!

鋼鉄ジーグ
「甲児!!」
Steel Jeeg: Koji!!

甲児
「こ、この野郎!!」
Koji: Th-These bastards!!

(RYOMA rushes over to Koji.)

リョウマ
「ガンファイトハリケェェェン!」
RYOMA: GUNFIGHT HURRICAAAAANE!

(RYOMA defeats the Invaders surrounding Koji.)

甲児
「リョ、リョウ、お前…!」
Koji: R-Ryo, you...!

リョウマ
「………」
RYOMA: ...


(Scene ends.)

(Next scene picks up where it left off.)


鋼鉄ジーグ
「あいつ、甲児を助けたのか!?」
Steel Jeeg: Did he just rescue Koji!?

竜馬
「さあ、どうかな」
Ryoma: Well, what do you know?

甲児
「リョウ、お前は…!」
Koji: Ryo, you just...!

リョウマ
「何を呆けてやがる!
残ってる敵をさっさと片付けるぞ!」
RYOMA: The hell are you just standing there for!? Hurry and finish off the rest of them!

甲児
「あ、ああ!」
Koji: R-Right!

(Battle 2 begins.)

(Battle 2 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

美和
「インベーダーの反応は全て消えたわ」
Uzuki: All Invader readings have disappeared.

鋼鉄ジーグ
「これで終わりだといいんだが…」
Steel Jeeg: Hopefully that’s the last of them...

隼人
「奴らが出て来る気配はない。打ち止めだな」
Hayato: There’re no signs that any more are coming. Looks like we’re done here.

甲児
「ふう…今回はちょっと焦っちまったぜ」
Koji: Phew... Got a little crazy out here today.

リョウマ
「…お前ら、いつもこんな戦い方をしているのか?」
RYOMA: ...Do you guys always fight like this?

甲児
「しょっちゅうってわけじゃねえよ」
Koji: Nah, not always.

リョウマ
「何にせよ、効率的とは思えねえ」
RYOMA: Either way, it’s not exactly efficient.

鉄也
「お前は何かを守る戦いをしたことがないのか?」
Tetsuya: Have you never fought to protect something?

リョウマ
「拠点防衛を命じられたことはある」
RYOMA: I’ve been ordered to defend a base before.

鉄也
「なら、質問を変えよう。
お前個人が守りたいもの…大切なものはないのか?」
Tetsuya: Then let me change the question. Is there an individual you’ve fought to protect before? ...Someone you would consider precious?

リョウマ
「戦うために生み出された俺達に
そんなもの…」
RYOMA: There’s no one like that for things created only to fight, like me...

竜馬
「………」
Ryoma: ...

隼人
「ゲッターノワールを調べるため、タワーへ戻るぞ」
Hayato: We’re returning to the Tower so we can examine Getter Noir.

竜馬
「ああ」
Ryoma: Right.

隼人
「甲児、お前達も来てくれ。
色々と証言をしてもらうためにな」
Hayato: Koji, you’ll come with us. You’ll be our witness.

甲児
「わかりました」
Koji: Understood.

リョウマ
(これでハヤトとムサシの居場所が
わかればいいが…)
RYOMA: (Maybe this will help me find HAYATO and MUSASHI...)

甲児
「リョウ」
Koji: Ryo.

リョウマ
「何だ?」
RYOMA: What?

甲児
「さっきは助けてくれて、ありがとよ」
Koji: Thanks for saving me earlier.

リョウマ
「マジンガーZが動けなくなったら、
こっちの戦力が低下しちまう。
それを防ぎたかっただけだ。勝利のためにな」
RYOMA: If Mazinger Z was rendered inoperable, then our fighting strength would diminish. I was just trying to prevent that from happening. It was only so that we could win.

甲児
「………」
Koji: ...

リョウマ
「…この世界のことは、ある程度わかった」
RYOMA: ...I more or less get the gist of what’s going on in this world now.

隼人
「お前のゲッターノワールだが、
こちらのゲッターの予備パーツを使って
修復は出来そうだ」
Hayato: It looks like we’ll be able to provide repairs for your Getter Noir using spare parts from our own Getters.

隼人
「しかし、機体の調査には時間が掛かる。
しばらくの間、ここにいてもらうぞ」
Hayato: However, examining the machine will take some time. You’ll have to remain here for the time being.

リョウマ
「わかった」
RYOMA: Got it.

弁慶
「お前の仲間の行方も調べてるよ。
この世界へ来てるのなら、その内見つかるだろう」
Benkei: We’re also looking into your friend’s whereabouts. If they’re in this world, then we’ll find ‘em eventually.

隼人
「…竜馬、お前がこいつの面倒を見ろ」
Hayato: ...Ryoma, you’ll be looking after him in the meantime.

竜馬
「おい、待て。何で俺が…」
Ryoma: Hey, hang on. Why do I--

隼人
「竜馬同士で気が合うと思ってな」
Hayato: I think you’d get along well with your fellow Ryoma.

弁慶
「そうだな、弟みたいなもんだろ。頼んだぜ」
Benkei: Yeah, he’s sorta like a little brother for you. So watch out for him.

竜馬
「………」
Ryoma: ...


タワー通路
Tower – Corridor


竜馬
「ったく、冗談じゃねえぜ」
Ryoma: You have got to be kidding me with this.

リョウマ
「………」
RYOMA: ...

竜馬
「俺をジロジロと見るな。
世界が違うとは言え、てめえは俺だろうが」
Ryoma: Stop gawking at me. Different world or not, we look just the same.

リョウマ
「オリジナルの記憶はあるが、
本人を見るのは初めてだからな」
RYOMA: I have the memories of the original, but this is the first time I’ve actually seen the man himself.

竜馬
「ふん…他人に俺の記憶があるってのは、
妙な話だぜ」
Ryoma: Hmph... Feels freakin’ weird, hearing that another guy has my memories.

リョウマ
「既に説明した通り、俺は必要に応じて
それにアクセスできる。だが、その行為は
流竜馬という男の伝記を読んでいるようなものだ」
RYOMA: I said this before, but I’m able to access the memories when necessary. Thing is, actually doing it is more like reading a biography of a man named Ryoma Nagare.

竜馬
「伝記…その結末は書かれてねえんだろうが」
Ryoma: A biography, huh... Just gonna assume it doesn’t say how it ends.

リョウマ
「そうだ。その上で聞きたいことがある。
お前の守るべきものは何だ?」
RYOMA: That’s right. Now let me ask you something. What is it you’re trying to protect?

竜馬
「そんなもん…俺の記憶を辿ればいいだろうが」
Ryoma: You oughta know that already. ...Just read my memories.

リョウマ
「この世界にいるお前に聞いている」
RYOMA: I’m asking that to the you of this world.

竜馬
「…さっきの鉄也の言葉が引っ掛かったようだな」
Ryoma: ...I guess what Tetsuya said earlier left an impression.

リョウマ
「………」
RYOMA: ...

竜馬
「図星か。
なら、てめえにはあるようだな、守りてえものが」
Ryoma: Bullseye, huh. So then you must have something you want to protect.

リョウマ
「…失いたくないと感じているものは、ある。
それは…」
RYOMA: ...There’s something I don’t want to lose, at least. It’s...

リョウマ
「早乙女ミチルに関する記憶だ」
RYOMA: The memories of Michiru Saotome.

竜馬
「…!」
Ryoma: ...!

リョウマ
「俺の中の流竜馬は、
早乙女ミチルと過ごした時の中で
安らぎを感じていた」
RYOMA: The Ryoma Nagare inside me felt like he was at peace during the time he spent with Michiru Saotome.

竜馬
「………」
Ryoma: ...

リョウマ
「そこにアクセスした時、
俺も同じような気持ちになる。
戦いしかない俺が安らぎを…」
RYOMA: And when I access those memories, I feel the same way. I only exist to fight, yet that feeling of peace still...

リョウマ
「そんなものは、ブラフマーとの戦闘に不要…
だが、拒絶できない。消去も不可能だ」
RYOMA: It’s something completely useless for the battle against Brahma... But still, I can’t just reject those memories. I could never get rid of them.

竜馬
「ふん…」
Ryoma: Hm...

リョウマ
「それは弱さに繋がる。
だから、俺はあの時に敵の攻撃を受け、
転位門に落とされた…」
RYOMA: That feeling has made me weak. That’s why I ended up being knocked out of the transposition gate when the enemy attacked...

竜馬
「…そんなんじゃ、
てめえはあのゲッターの本当の力を
引き出せてねえな」
Ryoma: ...If that’s how you think, then there’s no way you’ve been drawing out your Getter’s true power.

リョウマ
「…!」
RYOMA: ...!

竜馬
「それも図星か。
文字通り、流竜馬が聞いて呆れるぜ」
Ryoma: Another bullseye, huh. Ryoma Nagare would be dumbfounded to hear you say that. And I mean that quite literally.

(Ryoma receives a transmission.)

竜馬
「何だ、弁慶?」
Ryoma: What’s up, Benkei?

リョウマ
「………」
RYOMA: ...

竜馬
「…わかった。伝える」
Ryoma: ...Alright. I’ll tell him.

リョウマ
「何かあったのか?」
RYOMA: Something happen?

童馬
「ああ、お前の仲間が見つかったぞ」
Ryoma: Yeah. They found your friends.
