Important A'therys Information

All of you need to be informed that this server and your personal information has not been managed appropriately.

If you read nothing else today, read this; if you have made any transactions on the online store since the change in ownership from Edd to Sellt, your personal transaction information is available to people with malicious intent.  Your full name, purchase details, home address, email address, IP address, password hash, and associated Minecraft username are in an easily searchable database.

There has been a known breach in security for several months now that should have been patched, but hasn't.  Several users with ill-intent have gained access to the purchase information noted above, complete ban history since v2 including ban details and evidence, admin privileges on the forums, Minecraft, and Teamspeak servers, and staff skype chats.  We have an overwhelming amount of evidence telling us who these users are, but they have not yet been banned from any of our services.

Not only have these security breaches been left open, players and staff who know of them and tried to convince other admins to fix them have been ignored or told it's not an issue.  They're lying to you, disregarding your own safety and privacy.  In fact, some of the other admins seem to be co-operating with these malicious users under the guise that "they're helping the server."


Important safety information aside now, you should also be informed of some poor behaviour of the staff.

The selection on who to pick as staff is entirely based on how much a few certain admins like you.  Qualifications or intent to help the server and its players is rarely considered.  Multiple players with perfect records on the server and more than enough aspects required for a good staff member were rejected because one corrupt admin said "No, I don't care how much they can do, I'm not working with them."

Many (not all) current staff quietly abuse their privileges for their own gain, this would not have flown in my day.  As you all saw with blue, it can go on for a long time without being dealt with.  Another recent addition to the team abused their creative mode access on their first day to spawn in several double chests worth of items for them-self.  This was recognized and they were caught, but it was excused without a good reason.

Bans and server rules mean nothing if an admin likes you or you have a long sob story.  On multiple occasions, users were banned for hacking, harassing other players, and exploiting or breaking rules but immediately un-banned despite evidence and without communication between other staff, all because an admin liked them.

Admins (and those exploiting security breaches) will share your private messages with anyone else the feel like.  Admins have access to every message you've ever sent on the server or forums, and often read them for their own entertainment -not for rule enforcement.  I've heard the other admins reading aloud in-game PM's real-time to any random player who happens to be in their TS channel at the time.


The list could go on longer than anyone cares to read, but I will stop it here and ask that you warn any friends of the security threats.  There should be a pastebin link to this document at the top of the post so you can share it in the event staff hides/deletes it.
