  4. Dear HallOfFamer,
  5.
  6. You know me as a free spirited administrator. While I was a staff member here at Mysidia, I would let users control the server, within reason of course. The main issues that I noticed were not with the users themselves, but with the staff. While a user might come onto our server with a derogatory username, spam or talk in a different language occasionally, most servers could simply fix this. Our staff team however, would turn each and every action into a huge power struggle. Some key examples of this involved me, especially during the early stages of my stay. We need a head administrator to take control of these situations.

  8. Another key issue would be our ‘Why do today what you could put off until tomorrow’ mentality. We came up with some great ideas over the three months or so that I was active, but none of them were actually implemented. I know that you disagree with this statement, as I’ve had many discussions with you and other owners about this topic. We need an enforcer that takes control, assigns tasks, and makes sure they get done.

  10. I have noted a bias in our way of determining authority. Sometimes strong candidates are ignored for a much less responsible user, simply because they were unknown personally, while the other user was a ‘friend’. I’ll give an example of this with the new user Ashley. When I first came around, people would immediately question why I had authority and who I was. It took more than two months for my own staff team to finally start respecting me.
