Noah aks about side project

Hey guys,

Big fan, I've been listening for years, etc. etc. I've got a question for you:

Is there such a thing as a bad side project? I'm a web dev by day (Django, Angular, and such) but recently I've been really interested in making my own video game just for fun. My concern is that video games are typically made in one of the C languages (C, C++, C#, etc.), which is never something I use for work.

Would you guys think that this would look bad if I ever tried to put it on a resume or if a potential employer asked me about a side project? I fear they may interpret that I'm not passionate about web dev (I am).

What do you guys think? Is it no big deal?
