(ambient music)

2
00:00:09,543 --> 00:00:12,111
(wings flapping)

3
00:00:13,047 --> 00:00:15,247
(chiming)

4
00:00:25,426 --> 00:00:28,160
(somber music)

5
00:00:34,802 --> 00:00:37,736
(woman screaming)

6
00:00:40,107 --> 00:00:41,640
- Help!

7
00:00:41,642 --> 00:00:44,443
(woman sobbing)

8
00:00:46,781 --> 00:00:48,213
Somebody?!

9
00:00:48,215 --> 00:00:49,515
Help me!

10
00:00:51,452 --> 00:00:53,152
No!

11
00:00:55,523 --> 00:00:57,089
Help!

12
00:00:58,325 --> 00:01:00,826
Please, somebody help me!

13
00:01:00,828 --> 00:01:03,195
(dramatic music)

14
00:01:03,197 --> 00:01:05,597
(whimpering)

15
00:01:09,637 --> 00:01:10,502
(yelling)

16
00:01:10,504 --> 00:01:11,437
Help!

17
00:01:14,408 --> 00:01:15,774
Help!

18
00:01:15,776 --> 00:01:16,708
Please!

19
00:01:17,545 --> 00:01:20,145
(whimpering)

20
00:01:22,850 --> 00:01:24,583
(screaming)

21
00:01:26,253 --> 00:01:29,121
(dramatic music)

22
00:01:54,648 --> 00:01:58,417
("Paganini Caprice No. 24")

23
00:02:23,277 --> 00:02:25,477
(people laughing)

24
00:02:32,920 --> 00:02:34,586
(crunching)

25
00:02:35,156 --> 00:02:36,488
- Jude!

26
00:02:36,490 --> 00:02:38,423
Are you all right?

27
00:02:38,425 --> 00:02:39,825
- Yes, Professor.

28
00:02:41,195 --> 00:02:42,828
I'm fine. I'm sorry.

29
00:02:42,830 --> 00:02:44,663
My E-string broke.

30
00:02:45,332 --> 00:02:47,232
- Yes. Indeed.

31
00:02:47,935 --> 00:02:49,902
Can we have the lights, please?

32
00:02:58,546 --> 00:03:00,512
(ominous music)

33
00:03:03,617 --> 00:03:05,450
- I don't know.

34
00:03:05,452 --> 00:03:07,419
Maybe I'm just

35
00:03:07,421 --> 00:03:09,188
cracking up.

36
00:03:09,190 --> 00:03:11,323
(somber music)

37
00:03:17,431 --> 00:03:19,898
- Yes, Emily Foster.

38
00:03:19,900 --> 00:03:21,600
No one could touch her.

39
00:03:21,602 --> 00:03:23,468
I was amazed.

40
00:03:23,470 --> 00:03:24,870
Even a bit jealous of her.

41
00:03:24,872 --> 00:03:27,306
But she was the only
one of my students

42
00:03:27,308 --> 00:03:29,975
to ever win the
FAC Fellowship.

43
00:03:32,580 --> 00:03:35,347
Next day she was gone.

44
00:03:37,885 --> 00:03:39,952
- Do you think I'm ready?

45
00:03:43,724 --> 00:03:45,257
- Jude,

46
00:03:45,259 --> 00:03:46,692
you...

47
00:03:46,694 --> 00:03:47,960
you know I...

48
00:03:48,896 --> 00:03:51,863
I think you are
very talented.

49
00:03:51,865 --> 00:03:53,799
Just like Emily.

50
00:03:54,401 --> 00:03:55,667
But...

51
00:03:57,738 --> 00:03:58,870
Well...

52
00:03:59,773 --> 00:04:01,640
What do you
want me to say?

53
00:04:02,643 --> 00:04:05,744
The FAC tryouts
are not like here.

54
00:04:05,746 --> 00:04:07,446
We're all

55
00:04:07,448 --> 00:04:08,614
friends.

56
00:04:10,317 --> 00:04:13,552
You would be in a
huge auditorium.

57
00:04:13,554 --> 00:04:18,023
A cold empty stage. Bright
lights in your eyes.

58
00:04:18,025 --> 00:04:22,861
It's all designed to make
you feel threatened,

59
00:04:22,863 --> 00:04:24,630
intimidated.

60
00:04:24,632 --> 00:04:27,599
(ominous music)

61
00:04:27,601 --> 00:04:31,536
Of the 200 people
that audition,

62
00:04:31,538 --> 00:04:33,739
sometimes only
two qualify.

63
00:04:35,809 --> 00:04:37,676
- Professor,
I'm gonna work

64
00:04:37,678 --> 00:04:39,745
just so much harder than
any other student you have.

65
00:04:39,747 --> 00:04:40,779
- Jude.

66
00:04:42,983 --> 00:04:45,384
(sighing)

67
00:04:47,454 --> 00:04:48,820
Jude,

68
00:04:49,757 --> 00:04:52,758
do you remember
what I told you?

69
00:04:53,694 --> 00:04:54,493
- Yeah.

70
00:04:54,495 --> 00:04:56,095
- Mm-hm?

71
00:04:56,096 --> 00:04:57,696
- The tension between
order and chaos.

72
00:04:57,698 --> 00:04:58,997
Precision and passion.

73
00:04:58,999 --> 00:05:00,899
- Yes, precision
is essential.

74
00:05:00,901 --> 00:05:03,635
The two together will guide
you to what you seek.

75
00:05:03,637 --> 00:05:04,903
Precision by
itself is cold.

76
00:05:04,905 --> 00:05:05,937
It has no feeling.

77
00:05:05,939 --> 00:05:07,673
Passion by itself is...

78
00:05:07,675 --> 00:05:09,441
chaos.

79
00:05:12,913 --> 00:05:14,913
Emily understood.

80
00:05:16,383 --> 00:05:18,383
She achieved the two.

81
00:05:20,020 --> 00:05:21,787
At a terrible cost.

82
00:05:22,990 --> 00:05:25,390
(ominous music)

83
00:05:27,928 --> 00:05:30,562
- [Ben] So which one
are you supposed to be?

84
00:05:30,564 --> 00:05:32,664
The soulless one or the...

85
00:05:32,666 --> 00:05:33,865
what's the other one?

86
00:05:33,867 --> 00:05:35,334
- Chaotic.

87
00:05:35,836 --> 00:05:37,636
I don't know, both.

88
00:05:37,638 --> 00:05:39,638
Because then I'm gifted.

89
00:05:39,640 --> 00:05:40,972
I don't know.

90
00:05:40,974 --> 00:05:43,508
I think he just wants
to mess with my head

91
00:05:43,510 --> 00:05:45,777
or get into my pants.

92
00:05:45,779 --> 00:05:46,912
Or both.

93
00:05:46,914 --> 00:05:49,198
- Well,

94
00:05:49,199 --> 00:05:51,483
if we're talking about
getting into your pants,

95
00:05:51,485 --> 00:05:54,119
I, for one, would very
much like to do that.

96
00:05:54,121 --> 00:05:55,020
- [Jude] Really?

97
00:05:55,022 --> 00:05:56,455
- [Ben] Yes, yeah.

98
00:05:56,457 --> 00:05:57,522
(laughing)

99
00:05:57,524 --> 00:05:58,490
- Okay, later.

100
00:05:58,492 --> 00:06:00,025
- Is that Ben? Hi, Ben.

101
00:06:00,027 --> 00:06:01,026
Jude's sleeping around.

102
00:06:01,028 --> 00:06:02,527
She had sex with
Mr. Murphy.

103
00:06:02,529 --> 00:06:03,962
- [Jude] Ah, no.

104
00:06:03,964 --> 00:06:05,664
- Jude doesn't
treat you right

105
00:06:05,666 --> 00:06:07,666
you know I'm available, okay?

106
00:06:07,668 --> 00:06:10,635
- I can mistreat Ben
all I want, thank you.

107
00:06:10,637 --> 00:06:11,903
- [Sarah] Uh-huh.
- [Jude] Okay, I'm gonna go.

108
00:06:11,905 --> 00:06:13,805
- [Ben] Okay.
- [Jude] All right, I love you.

109
00:06:13,807 --> 00:06:16,441
- [Ben] Love you too.
- [Sarah] I love you too, Ben.

110
00:06:16,443 --> 00:06:17,976
Call me.
(laughing)

111
00:06:17,978 --> 00:06:20,045
- All right. Love you,
Jude and Sarah.

112
00:06:20,047 --> 00:06:21,613
And hi, Veronica.

113
00:06:21,615 --> 00:06:22,447
- [Jude] Okay, I'll
talk to you later.

114
00:06:22,449 --> 00:06:23,782
- Hey, Ben!

115
00:06:23,784 --> 00:06:24,950
- Okay, bye. Muah.

116
00:06:26,820 --> 00:06:28,653
- What's up?

117
00:06:28,655 --> 00:06:29,654
- Hey, what's up?

118
00:06:29,656 --> 00:06:30,722
- My ladies.

119
00:06:31,392 --> 00:06:32,491
- Hey.

120
00:06:32,493 --> 00:06:33,692
- [Sarah] Hey.

121
00:06:35,162 --> 00:06:36,928
- Great news, my babies.

122
00:06:36,930 --> 00:06:39,131
I have finally sublet
that upstairs room.

123
00:06:39,133 --> 00:06:40,766
- No way, that's great.

124
00:06:40,768 --> 00:06:44,002
- Yeah? What's he like?
Better than you?

125
00:06:44,004 --> 00:06:46,738
- Stop, Sarah. We both
know that's impossible.

126
00:06:46,740 --> 00:06:49,574
- I just hope he's not
crazy like that last guy.

127
00:06:49,576 --> 00:06:51,159
- Yeah.

128
00:06:51,160 --> 00:06:52,743
- Oh my God, that dude sucked.
- (Sarah laughing)

129
00:06:52,746 --> 00:06:54,146
Fucking nightmare.

130
00:06:54,148 --> 00:06:56,581
Yeah, this dude's
pretty cool, though.

131
00:06:56,583 --> 00:06:58,049
He plays the guitar.

132
00:06:58,051 --> 00:06:59,885
- Oh, that's so boring.

133
00:06:59,887 --> 00:07:02,053
We want someone
interesting and exotic.

134
00:07:02,055 --> 00:07:04,122
- I want uncircumcised.

135
00:07:04,124 --> 00:07:05,724
- [Jude] Sarah.

136
00:07:07,561 --> 00:07:08,660
- He's British.

137
00:07:08,662 --> 00:07:10,562
That's all I really know.

138
00:07:10,564 --> 00:07:11,830
Oh,

139
00:07:11,832 --> 00:07:13,031
homeboy thinks
he knows movies.

140
00:07:13,033 --> 00:07:14,099
- Oh, really?

141
00:07:14,100 --> 00:07:15,166
- [Steve] We'll
see about that.

142
00:07:15,169 --> 00:07:17,102
- [Veronica] Bon appétit.

143
00:07:17,104 --> 00:07:18,837
- Ah, fava beans
and a good Chianti?

144
00:07:18,839 --> 00:07:21,440
- Okay, no Hannibal.

145
00:07:21,442 --> 00:07:22,174
Ravioli.

146
00:07:23,577 --> 00:07:25,076
- Hey, Steve's new
roommate is British.

147
00:07:25,078 --> 00:07:26,111
- British?

148
00:07:26,113 --> 00:07:27,646
- Does he go to
the Conservatory?

149
00:07:27,648 --> 00:07:28,613
- [Steve] I didn't check.

150
00:07:28,615 --> 00:07:31,483
Hey, my beautiful mamacitas,

151
00:07:32,219 --> 00:07:33,969
how long do I
have to sit here

152
00:07:33,970 --> 00:07:35,720
before you offer me
some of this food?

153
00:07:35,722 --> 00:07:38,723
- What do you bring
to the party, Steve?

154
00:07:38,725 --> 00:07:42,093
- You mean besides this
perfect personality and hair?

155
00:07:42,095 --> 00:07:44,496
- [Veronica] Yeah, besides
the personality and the hair,

156
00:07:44,498 --> 00:07:46,064
what do you bring?

157
00:07:46,066 --> 00:07:47,599
- Weed.

158
00:07:47,601 --> 00:07:48,934
- Oh.
- [Veronica] Right.

159
00:07:48,936 --> 00:07:50,001
- Go get a plate.

160
00:07:50,003 --> 00:07:52,103
(laughing)

161
00:07:56,009 --> 00:07:58,176
(photo snapping)

162
00:07:58,178 --> 00:08:00,111
- [Ben] Okay, um...

163
00:08:01,648 --> 00:08:02,948
I want you.

164
00:08:02,950 --> 00:08:05,083
I'm feeling your breasts.

165
00:08:06,153 --> 00:08:08,253
I want to be
inside of you.

166
00:08:08,255 --> 00:08:09,120
- [Jude] Ben!

167
00:08:09,122 --> 00:08:10,188
(Jude laughing)

168
00:08:10,190 --> 00:08:11,790
- [Ben] What? What?

169
00:08:11,792 --> 00:08:14,059
- You can't just
start at the end.

170
00:08:14,061 --> 00:08:16,228
You have to ease into
it with some foreplay.

171
00:08:16,230 --> 00:08:18,830
- Oh, okay.

172
00:08:18,832 --> 00:08:20,866
- Yeah, I want to do it.

173
00:08:20,868 --> 00:08:22,133
- [Ben] You want to...
- Mm-hm.

174
00:08:22,135 --> 00:08:24,769
- Okay, you wanna do it?
- Mm-hm.

175
00:08:25,706 --> 00:08:27,539
Are you touching yourself?

176
00:08:29,109 --> 00:08:31,042
- Yeah.
- Good.

177
00:08:33,847 --> 00:08:36,047
So I'm touching you

178
00:08:36,817 --> 00:08:38,216
and kissing you.

179
00:08:38,218 --> 00:08:40,986
- Where are you kissing me?

180
00:08:40,988 --> 00:08:43,722
- Mmm, your neck.

181
00:08:44,258 --> 00:08:45,824
- [Ben] Cool.

182
00:08:45,826 --> 00:08:48,560
- And I'm running my
fingers down your body.

183
00:08:50,764 --> 00:08:52,297
Kissing your chest.

184
00:08:52,299 --> 00:08:54,032
- What else?

185
00:08:54,034 --> 00:08:55,200
- I miss you.

186
00:08:55,202 --> 00:08:56,868
- I miss you too.

187
00:08:56,870 --> 00:08:59,070
This feels really
nice. Keep going.

188
00:08:59,072 --> 00:08:59,938
(giggling)

189
00:08:59,940 --> 00:09:01,706
- I'm moving down.

190
00:09:03,210 --> 00:09:05,277
Touching you.

191
00:09:05,279 --> 00:09:07,913
Feeling you. Feeling
how hard you are.

192
00:09:07,915 --> 00:09:09,848
- Very, very hard.

193
00:09:11,852 --> 00:09:15,120
- And I move
my lips lower.

194
00:09:15,122 --> 00:09:17,255
- Yeah?
- And lower.

195
00:09:17,257 --> 00:09:18,290
- How low?

196
00:09:21,161 --> 00:09:23,995
- And then I finally
move my lips just--

197
00:09:23,997 --> 00:09:26,164
(ominous music)

198
00:09:26,166 --> 00:09:27,699
Shit!

199
00:09:27,701 --> 00:09:28,700
- Keep going.

200
00:09:28,702 --> 00:09:29,634
- Shit!

201
00:09:29,636 --> 00:09:31,002
Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!

202
00:09:31,004 --> 00:09:32,237
- [Ben] Jude?
- [Jude] Shit!

203
00:09:32,239 --> 00:09:34,239
- [Ben] What-what, Jude?

204
00:09:35,175 --> 00:09:36,808
Hello?

205
00:09:37,811 --> 00:09:39,144
Hello?

206
00:09:39,146 --> 00:09:41,079
Did I lose you?

207
00:09:41,081 --> 00:09:42,280
Hello?

208
00:09:42,282 --> 00:09:44,716
- I'll call you back
in a little bit, okay?

209
00:09:44,718 --> 00:09:46,618
- [Ben] Is everything okay?

210
00:09:46,620 --> 00:09:48,053
What happened?

211
00:09:49,089 --> 00:09:50,255
Jude?

212
00:09:50,958 --> 00:09:52,824
(Skype closing tone)

213
00:09:53,827 --> 00:09:56,027
(ominous music)

214
00:10:31,765 --> 00:10:34,799
(fast violin music)

215
00:10:47,314 --> 00:10:49,147
- Last week of rehearsal.

216
00:10:50,751 --> 00:10:52,217
Right?

217
00:10:52,219 --> 00:10:53,785
Okay, again.

218
00:10:53,787 --> 00:10:55,854
From the top.
First variation.

219
00:10:56,990 --> 00:11:00,008
And remember,

220
00:11:00,009 --> 00:11:03,027
you came here because we're
one of the best, so...

221
00:11:03,030 --> 00:11:04,696
Perfection.

222
00:11:10,737 --> 00:11:12,871
(Paganini's Caprice No. 24)

223
00:11:25,786 --> 00:11:28,453
(ominous music)

224
00:11:32,726 --> 00:11:34,726
(Murphy sighing)

225
00:11:41,768 --> 00:11:42,434
- [Tommy] I want my fucking
money, you stupid

226
00:11:42,436 --> 00:11:43,785
piece of shit!

227
00:11:43,786 --> 00:11:45,135
- Give me a fucking
break, Tommy.

228
00:11:45,138 --> 00:11:46,671
I'll give you the money.

229
00:11:46,672 --> 00:11:48,205
- [Tommy] When? I
want it fucking now!

230
00:11:48,208 --> 00:11:50,108
- A couple more days. I can't
be the first. Let it go, man.

231
00:11:50,110 --> 00:11:51,810
- Fuck you!
- Hey!

232
00:11:51,812 --> 00:11:53,244
(intense music)

233
00:11:53,246 --> 00:11:55,747
Leave him alone! Get off!

234
00:11:58,151 --> 00:11:59,884
- No, no, no! Jude,
come on! Let's go!

235
00:11:59,886 --> 00:12:00,919
- [Jude] Off!

236
00:12:00,921 --> 00:12:02,253
- Jude, let's go!

237
00:12:02,255 --> 00:12:05,223
- That crazy bitch
broke my nose!

238
00:12:05,225 --> 00:12:07,158
(tires screeching)

239
00:12:08,161 --> 00:12:10,395
(ominous music)

240
00:12:16,036 --> 00:12:18,369
- What was that about?

241
00:12:18,371 --> 00:12:19,621
- Nothing.

242
00:12:19,622 --> 00:12:20,872
- Are you gonna
call the police?

243
00:12:20,874 --> 00:12:22,073
- No, I'm not gonna
call the police.

244
00:12:22,075 --> 00:12:23,241
- Why?

245
00:12:23,243 --> 00:12:25,944
- Because, Jude,
you know what I do.

246
00:12:25,946 --> 00:12:27,345
Okay, that guy's
an investor.

247
00:12:27,347 --> 00:12:29,047
So he fronts me.

248
00:12:29,049 --> 00:12:30,815
And I was short this week so

249
00:12:30,817 --> 00:12:33,351
we had a failure
to communicate.

250
00:12:33,353 --> 00:12:35,386
And then I called
his mom a cunt.

251
00:12:37,390 --> 00:12:39,924
- What? I would've hit you too.

252
00:12:39,926 --> 00:12:42,327
- That's me. The guy people hit.

253
00:12:43,463 --> 00:12:45,130
How was rehearsal?

254
00:12:45,132 --> 00:12:46,264
- It was great.

255
00:12:46,266 --> 00:12:47,766
It was good.

256
00:12:48,502 --> 00:12:50,135
- Cool.

257
00:12:51,471 --> 00:12:53,805
- Hey, you remember Emily
Foster, from the Conservatory,

258
00:12:53,807 --> 00:12:55,457
right?

259
00:12:55,458 --> 00:12:57,108
- Yeah, the girl who was
pushed off the roof.

260
00:12:58,345 --> 00:13:00,211
- No, I heard she
committed suicide.

261
00:13:00,213 --> 00:13:01,980
- I don't know.

262
00:13:01,982 --> 00:13:03,348
Someone told me
she was pushed.

263
00:13:03,350 --> 00:13:05,650
Why?

264
00:13:05,651 --> 00:13:07,951
- They said she was so
good that she went crazy.

265
00:13:07,954 --> 00:13:08,419
I don't know.

266
00:13:13,059 --> 00:13:14,559
- Jude,
if you ever need...

267
00:13:17,030 --> 00:13:19,063
If you ever need anything.

268
00:13:19,065 --> 00:13:20,265
Like...

269
00:13:25,205 --> 00:13:26,304
- Thanks.

270
00:13:29,476 --> 00:13:31,042
- Speaking of
your girl, Emily,

271
00:13:31,044 --> 00:13:33,178
I heard they never
found her violin.

272
00:13:33,180 --> 00:13:35,480
Aren't those like a
hundred thousand dollars?

273
00:13:35,482 --> 00:13:37,115
- Yeah, some are.

274
00:13:37,117 --> 00:13:38,316
Mine isn't.

275
00:13:44,491 --> 00:13:46,491
(upbeat music)

276
00:13:49,095 --> 00:13:50,595
- [Steve] I'm moving
all over the place.

277
00:13:50,597 --> 00:13:52,931
I fought like Jiu Jitsu,
and I'm defending myself.

278
00:13:52,933 --> 00:13:54,599
He's trying to
stomp me out.

279
00:13:54,601 --> 00:13:56,985
And all of a sudden I hear

280
00:13:56,986 --> 00:13:59,370
these tiny, little footsteps
sprinting towards me.

281
00:13:59,372 --> 00:14:02,140
And she woof, woof,
just starts going crazy.

282
00:14:02,142 --> 00:14:04,442
He's like, spinning
backwards.

283
00:14:04,444 --> 00:14:05,977
- Jude?

284
00:14:05,979 --> 00:14:06,978
Jude?

285
00:14:06,980 --> 00:14:08,613
Earth to Jude.

286
00:14:08,615 --> 00:14:10,048
Come here.

287
00:14:10,417 --> 00:14:12,050
Come here.

288
00:14:12,052 --> 00:14:13,218
- Hey, guys.

289
00:14:13,220 --> 00:14:14,152
- Hey.

290
00:14:15,088 --> 00:14:17,088
(Steve groaning)

291
00:14:17,090 --> 00:14:19,157
- Whoa, is that
dinner on your face?

292
00:14:19,159 --> 00:14:20,191
Come on, get up.

293
00:14:20,193 --> 00:14:21,626
- He's thawing
them out for us.

294
00:14:21,628 --> 00:14:24,162
- At least it's not
dinner on his dick.

295
00:14:24,164 --> 00:14:25,330
(laughing)

296
00:14:25,332 --> 00:14:27,232
- Hey, I ordered pizza.

297
00:14:27,234 --> 00:14:29,434
- Oh, thank you. Long day.

298
00:14:31,271 --> 00:14:32,503
- [Steve] What is this?

299
00:14:34,307 --> 00:14:36,140
"A center for ants?"

300
00:14:36,142 --> 00:14:36,608
- What?

301
00:14:36,610 --> 00:14:39,428
- [Steve] Zoolander.
- [Sarah] Zoolander.

302
00:14:39,429 --> 00:14:42,247
- Oh, whatever. Anyways, guys,
this is months in the making.

303
00:14:42,249 --> 00:14:43,414
Look at it.

304
00:14:44,384 --> 00:14:45,250
- Whoa.

305
00:14:45,252 --> 00:14:46,651
- Look at the detail.

306
00:14:46,653 --> 00:14:47,652
- Yeah.

307
00:14:47,654 --> 00:14:49,654
- So what happened to you?

308
00:14:49,656 --> 00:14:53,258
- Oh, Jude saved Steve
from a drug deal gone bad.

309
00:14:53,260 --> 00:14:54,559
- [Steve] Well,
it wasn't a drug--

310
00:14:54,561 --> 00:14:55,393
- [Sarah] Whatever.

311
00:14:55,395 --> 00:14:57,629
Jude kicked ass.

312
00:14:57,630 --> 00:14:59,864
- [Veronica] Steve,
where's the roommate?

313
00:14:59,865 --> 00:15:02,099
- Oh, you know, busy
eating crumpets and shit.

314
00:15:02,102 --> 00:15:03,568
Can't come over.

315
00:15:03,570 --> 00:15:05,937
- Did you invite him?

316
00:15:05,939 --> 00:15:06,671
- No.

317
00:15:07,474 --> 00:15:08,823
- Wow.

318
00:15:08,824 --> 00:15:10,173
- I'm keeping all
of you to myself.

319
00:15:10,176 --> 00:15:11,509
- Ew.

320
00:15:11,511 --> 00:15:14,679
- Keep yourself
to yourself.

321
00:15:14,681 --> 00:15:17,081
Steve, what are you doing?

322
00:15:17,083 --> 00:15:18,583
- What are you doing?
Are you serious?

323
00:15:18,585 --> 00:15:20,085
- I said months in
the making, come on.

324
00:15:20,086 --> 00:15:21,586
- You threw peas
at me right now?

325
00:15:21,587 --> 00:15:23,087
- I just told you I've
been working hard on this.

326
00:15:23,089 --> 00:15:25,123
- Come on, man. You guys
are supposed be my friends.

327
00:15:25,125 --> 00:15:26,457
Yo, I'm out of here. I need
to water my plants anyway.

328
00:15:26,459 --> 00:15:28,326
- You are so annoying.

329
00:15:29,162 --> 00:15:30,261
- Wow, cool.

330
00:15:30,263 --> 00:15:31,562
Some friends.
Thanks, guys.

331
00:15:31,564 --> 00:15:32,430
(laughing)

332
00:15:32,432 --> 00:15:33,548
- [Sarah] Bye.

333
00:15:33,549 --> 00:15:34,665
- [Veronica] He
literally broke it.

334
00:15:34,668 --> 00:15:36,668
He broke it, look.

335
00:15:36,670 --> 00:15:38,303
- Oh, fuck.

336
00:15:38,305 --> 00:15:39,604
- So annoying.

337
00:15:39,606 --> 00:15:41,172
- Bye.

338
00:15:41,174 --> 00:15:42,106
- [Veronica] Oh.

339
00:15:43,243 --> 00:15:44,642
Anyways, um,

340
00:15:44,644 --> 00:15:47,278
what really happened today?

341
00:15:47,280 --> 00:15:49,080
- It was nothing.

342
00:15:49,082 --> 00:15:50,982
- [Veronica] Nothing? Okay.

343
00:15:50,984 --> 00:15:53,318
- I got a little wound
up after rehearsal.

344
00:15:53,320 --> 00:15:55,620
- Must've been
wound pretty tight.

345
00:15:55,622 --> 00:15:57,655
(laughing)

346
00:15:57,657 --> 00:15:59,424
- Do you guys remember
Emily Foster?

347
00:15:59,426 --> 00:16:01,359
- [Sarah] Yeah.

348
00:16:01,361 --> 00:16:03,261
The crazy violinist who
jumped off the roof?

349
00:16:03,263 --> 00:16:05,096
- [Veronica] Sarah!
- [Sarah] What?

350
00:16:05,098 --> 00:16:08,967
Okay, the crazy violinist
that fell off the roof.

351
00:16:08,969 --> 00:16:11,436
- You know what,
you are so horrible.

352
00:16:11,438 --> 00:16:12,737
- Come on!

353
00:16:12,739 --> 00:16:15,006
(laughing)

354
00:16:15,008 --> 00:16:17,108
Is that seriously what's
been bothering you?

355
00:16:18,578 --> 00:16:22,647
- I saw a memorial poster today.
Just kind freaked me out.

356
00:16:22,649 --> 00:16:24,682
- Some people are
just plain crazy.

357
00:16:24,684 --> 00:16:27,218
- Steve said
she got pushed.

358
00:16:27,220 --> 00:16:29,187
- Trustworthy source.

359
00:16:29,189 --> 00:16:30,621
- [Jude] It's a lot
of pressure.

360
00:16:31,658 --> 00:16:33,524
She was really driven.

361
00:16:33,526 --> 00:16:34,692
She was a really, really

362
00:16:34,694 --> 00:16:36,361
really great violinist.

363
00:16:36,363 --> 00:16:37,695
- Yeah and you're
really good.

364
00:16:37,697 --> 00:16:39,430
You're a great
violin player.

365
00:16:39,432 --> 00:16:42,567
So stop scaring yourself
with these stories.

366
00:16:44,204 --> 00:16:47,305
- Yeah, look, if you let what
happened to Emily get to you,

367
00:16:47,307 --> 00:16:49,407
then you actually
will go crazy.

368
00:16:49,409 --> 00:16:50,608
- What I'm saying is

369
00:16:50,610 --> 00:16:52,310
it's a lot

370
00:16:52,312 --> 00:16:54,512
to handle that kind of genius.

371
00:16:54,514 --> 00:16:56,614
A lot of strength. Skill.

372
00:16:56,616 --> 00:16:58,516
A lot.

373
00:16:58,518 --> 00:17:01,085
Talent's a really
dangerous drug.

374
00:17:01,087 --> 00:17:02,387
- It is.

375
00:17:02,389 --> 00:17:04,188
Right, come on, Jude.

376
00:17:04,190 --> 00:17:05,156
Stop obsessing.

377
00:17:05,158 --> 00:17:06,357
You're gonna be great.

378
00:17:06,359 --> 00:17:08,526
- Mr. Murphy doesn't
seem to think so.

379
00:17:08,528 --> 00:17:10,294
- Oh, fuck him.

380
00:17:10,296 --> 00:17:12,563
You're a winner, okay.

381
00:17:12,565 --> 00:17:14,365
Babe, you gotta loosen up.

382
00:17:14,367 --> 00:17:16,667
You're too tense.

383
00:17:16,669 --> 00:17:19,504
- Tension is the
opposite of slack.

384
00:17:22,642 --> 00:17:24,108
- Yeah?

385
00:17:25,111 --> 00:17:26,811
I told you I'd get
you your money.

386
00:17:28,214 --> 00:17:29,080
No.

387
00:17:29,082 --> 00:17:30,548
(ominous music)

388
00:17:30,550 --> 00:17:33,384
She's my friend,
I'm not doing that.

389
00:17:34,421 --> 00:17:36,320
Don't touch her.

390
00:17:38,491 --> 00:17:40,658
(violin scraping)

391
00:17:48,401 --> 00:17:50,134
- Hey, loser!

392
00:17:50,537 --> 00:17:52,370
Oh!

393
00:17:52,806 --> 00:17:54,639
It's you!

394
00:17:54,641 --> 00:17:55,840
Here we go.

395
00:17:55,842 --> 00:17:57,542
(eerie music)

396
00:17:57,544 --> 00:17:59,577
How do you get to
Carnegie Hall?

397
00:18:01,414 --> 00:18:04,282
Practice! Practice!
Practice!

398
00:18:04,284 --> 00:18:05,817
Loser!

399
00:18:06,453 --> 00:18:07,685
You suck!

400
00:18:08,388 --> 00:18:10,354
You fucking suck!

401
00:18:11,124 --> 00:18:12,323
You stupid bitch!

402
00:18:12,325 --> 00:18:13,391
(menacing music)

403
00:18:13,393 --> 00:18:15,726
(screaming)

404
00:18:17,297 --> 00:18:19,831
(somber music)

405
00:18:30,343 --> 00:18:31,843
- What are you afraid of?

406
00:18:33,746 --> 00:18:35,062
- I just--

407
00:18:35,063 --> 00:18:36,379
- You have been anxious.

408
00:18:37,183 --> 00:18:39,250
You've been distracted.

409
00:18:39,252 --> 00:18:43,154
Now, either you have done the
work of the last four years

410
00:18:43,156 --> 00:18:44,655
or you haven't.

411
00:18:44,657 --> 00:18:47,758
- No, I'm fully committed.

412
00:18:47,760 --> 00:18:49,160
- Are you?

413
00:18:49,562 --> 00:18:51,129
Have you been?

414
00:18:57,570 --> 00:18:59,370
- Do you think
Emily was pushed?

415
00:19:00,874 --> 00:19:04,809
Or do you think she
just went crazy?

416
00:19:04,811 --> 00:19:07,245
Like the police said.

417
00:19:07,247 --> 00:19:09,714
- Jude, find your focus.

418
00:19:09,716 --> 00:19:11,415
Talking about Emily
will not help.

419
00:19:11,417 --> 00:19:14,185
- No, I will.
I'm trying.

420
00:19:14,187 --> 00:19:17,555
- Sometimes trying
is just not enough.

421
00:19:17,557 --> 00:19:20,358
We have spent a lot
of time together

422
00:19:20,360 --> 00:19:23,528
and I want to see it
count for something.

423
00:19:23,530 --> 00:19:26,464
(ominous music)

424
00:19:30,837 --> 00:19:32,537
(sighing)

425
00:19:33,473 --> 00:19:35,340
- [Jude] No, but
that's my point.

426
00:19:35,341 --> 00:19:37,208
That's the difference between
fiction and real life.

427
00:19:37,210 --> 00:19:38,910
The fiction has
to be logical.

428
00:19:38,912 --> 00:19:41,579
- Well, David Lynch makes
complete sense. It's just the

429
00:19:41,581 --> 00:19:42,480
logic of a dream.

430
00:19:42,482 --> 00:19:43,347
(eerie music)

431
00:19:43,349 --> 00:19:45,183
- Give me a break.

432
00:19:45,185 --> 00:19:46,217
Go.

433
00:19:46,920 --> 00:19:48,686
- "Do I make you
horny, baby?"

434
00:19:48,688 --> 00:19:51,255
- [Jude] Seriously,
no, you don't.

435
00:19:51,257 --> 00:19:52,490
It's too easy, Steve.

436
00:19:52,492 --> 00:19:54,458
- [Veronica] And
too pushy, Steve.

437
00:19:54,460 --> 00:19:55,760
- Let's think here.

438
00:19:56,529 --> 00:19:58,629
- "Zampano is here."

439
00:19:58,631 --> 00:20:00,264
- [Veronica]
Zampano is here?

440
00:20:00,266 --> 00:20:00,932
(menacing music)

441
00:20:00,934 --> 00:20:01,799
(crashing)

442
00:20:01,801 --> 00:20:03,434
(dog barking)

443
00:20:03,436 --> 00:20:04,435
- Whoa!

444
00:20:04,437 --> 00:20:05,937
- I'm sorry, sorry, sorry, guys.

445
00:20:05,939 --> 00:20:08,372
- "Ah. Good evening,
Mr. Torrance.

446
00:20:08,374 --> 00:20:09,373
"Your regular?"

447
00:20:09,375 --> 00:20:10,541
- The Shining.
Too easy, Steve.

448
00:20:10,543 --> 00:20:12,060
- Everyone,

449
00:20:12,061 --> 00:20:13,578
this is my shiny new
roommate, Dave.

450
00:20:13,580 --> 00:20:14,579
- Oh, hey, Dave.

451
00:20:14,581 --> 00:20:16,214
- [Steve] This is Veronica.

452
00:20:16,216 --> 00:20:17,615
- Wait, what happened
to "Zampano is here?"

453
00:20:17,617 --> 00:20:19,283
- Oh, you guys are playing
the movie game

454
00:20:19,285 --> 00:20:21,352
that Steve told me about.
- Yeah.

455
00:20:21,354 --> 00:20:23,654
- And this is Dave's
monster dog, Taliban.

456
00:20:23,656 --> 00:20:24,922
- [Sarah] Aw.

457
00:20:24,924 --> 00:20:26,924
- It's not Taliban.
It's Caliban

458
00:20:26,926 --> 00:20:28,292
from The Tempest?

459
00:20:28,294 --> 00:20:29,327
(laughing)

460
00:20:29,329 --> 00:20:30,345
- That makes sense.

461
00:20:30,346 --> 00:20:31,362
- That's Shakespeare, Steve.

462
00:20:31,364 --> 00:20:32,430
- Oh, thank you, Veronica.

463
00:20:32,432 --> 00:20:33,831
- You're welcome.

464
00:20:33,833 --> 00:20:36,334
- And he's not as
ferocious as he seems.

465
00:20:36,336 --> 00:20:37,902
- Wait, wait, wait.

466
00:20:37,904 --> 00:20:38,936
Steve, I'm sorry.

467
00:20:38,938 --> 00:20:40,805
So you're roommate was home

468
00:20:40,807 --> 00:20:42,707
and you came over for dinner?

469
00:20:42,709 --> 00:20:44,342
- Oh.

470
00:20:44,344 --> 00:20:46,244
- It's fine,
I already ate.

471
00:20:46,246 --> 00:20:48,312
- [Veronica] Here,
here. Take a seat.

472
00:20:48,314 --> 00:20:49,914
- Okay, just never mind that.

473
00:20:49,916 --> 00:20:52,416
Can you say British
things like,

474
00:20:52,418 --> 00:20:54,852
"easy peasy" or um,

475
00:20:54,854 --> 00:20:57,288
"can I get into
your knickers?"

476
00:20:58,324 --> 00:20:59,991
- [Steve] Say, uh,

477
00:20:59,993 --> 00:21:02,293
say "bollocks."
Say, "Bob's your uncle."

478
00:21:02,295 --> 00:21:03,127
- "Bob's your uncle."

479
00:21:03,128 --> 00:21:03,960
- Is that what
you guys say? Bob?

480
00:21:03,963 --> 00:21:05,730
- Yeah, we say that. Yeah.

481
00:21:05,732 --> 00:21:07,365
I've got one.

482
00:21:07,767 --> 00:21:08,966
"Bugger off."

483
00:21:10,970 --> 00:21:13,471
- That's pretty sexy.

484
00:21:13,473 --> 00:21:15,306
- The hot girl with
no fashion sense,

485
00:21:15,308 --> 00:21:16,674
that's Sarah.

486
00:21:16,676 --> 00:21:18,342
- [Sarah] Bonjour.

487
00:21:18,344 --> 00:21:20,678
- She's kind of like
Mata Hari, so...

488
00:21:20,680 --> 00:21:21,545
- Hi, Sarah.

489
00:21:21,547 --> 00:21:22,413
- Hi.

490
00:21:22,415 --> 00:21:24,348
What the hell's Mata Hari?

491
00:21:24,350 --> 00:21:26,317
- Greta Garbo.
- Spy.

492
00:21:26,319 --> 00:21:27,385
- [Steve] Exactly.
- [Jude] 1931.

493
00:21:27,387 --> 00:21:28,819
- 1931. Um-hm.

494
00:21:29,455 --> 00:21:31,022
And this is--

495
00:21:31,024 --> 00:21:32,857
- Jude.

496
00:21:32,858 --> 00:21:34,691
Pleased to meet you,
Jude. And also,

497
00:21:34,694 --> 00:21:35,760
La Strada.

498
00:21:35,762 --> 00:21:37,762
- Huh?
- [Sarah] What?

499
00:21:37,764 --> 00:21:38,763
- Right.

500
00:21:38,765 --> 00:21:40,831
- "Zampano is here."
La Strada.

501
00:21:40,833 --> 00:21:41,432
It's from the movie,
La Strada.

502
00:21:41,434 --> 00:21:43,434
(laughing)

503
00:21:43,435 --> 00:21:45,435
- Steve, I'm sorry, you said
he thinks he knows movies.

504
00:21:46,806 --> 00:21:48,773
- He's okay, I guess.

505
00:21:48,775 --> 00:21:50,275
- And I have one.

506
00:21:50,276 --> 00:21:51,776
- [Jude] Okay.
- A line.

507
00:21:51,778 --> 00:21:53,778
- [Jude] Uh-huh.

508
00:21:55,848 --> 00:21:59,016
- "You are all my
children now."

509
00:21:59,018 --> 00:22:00,384
- Oh, um.

510
00:22:00,386 --> 00:22:01,952
- [Veronica] Sarah,
come on.

511
00:22:01,954 --> 00:22:04,138
(groaning)

512
00:22:04,139 --> 00:22:06,323
Sarah, come on, we know this.
Think-think-think-think.

513
00:22:06,326 --> 00:22:07,792
- Freddy Krueger.

514
00:22:07,794 --> 00:22:08,759
- She's got it.

515
00:22:08,761 --> 00:22:10,461
Jude nailed it.

516
00:22:10,463 --> 00:22:12,063
- Nightmare on Elm Street Two.
- [Dave] Bingo!

517
00:22:12,065 --> 00:22:15,333
- She got it! She
got it! (cheering)

518
00:22:15,335 --> 00:22:16,834
- Shit.

519
00:22:16,836 --> 00:22:19,603
- [Steve] Jude
gets it. She wins.

520
00:22:19,605 --> 00:22:21,472
- Well, on that note,

521
00:22:21,474 --> 00:22:24,442
I think that calls
for a cheers.

522
00:22:24,444 --> 00:22:26,010
- Thank you. Cheers.

523
00:22:26,012 --> 00:22:27,111
- Cheers, Jude.

524
00:22:32,685 --> 00:22:34,485
- I win.

525
00:22:35,655 --> 00:22:36,821
- Yeah, she does.

526
00:22:36,823 --> 00:22:38,456
(laughing)

527
00:22:41,127 --> 00:22:43,561
(thudding)

528
00:22:48,668 --> 00:22:51,001
(whooshing)

529
00:22:56,109 --> 00:22:57,608
- Sarah!

530
00:22:58,745 --> 00:23:01,479
- Jude, you're done with
your laundry, right?

531
00:23:01,481 --> 00:23:03,547
- Yeah, almost.
It's in the dryer.

532
00:23:03,549 --> 00:23:05,116
But just almost done.

533
00:23:05,118 --> 00:23:06,284
- Okay.

534
00:23:06,285 --> 00:23:07,451
You know we have to
stay on schedule if--

535
00:23:07,453 --> 00:23:08,853
- So Sarah's upstairs.

536
00:23:08,855 --> 00:23:10,087
- Yeah.

537
00:23:11,624 --> 00:23:12,690
- Yeah, she keeps
dropping her garbage

538
00:23:12,692 --> 00:23:13,858
down the laundry chute.

539
00:23:13,860 --> 00:23:16,460
- I know, I keep telling her.

540
00:23:16,462 --> 00:23:17,862
It's not my job to keep up
with other people's laundry

541
00:23:17,864 --> 00:23:19,597
and garbage in this house.

542
00:23:21,868 --> 00:23:23,801
- Okay. It's fine.

543
00:23:23,803 --> 00:23:25,403
- I'm just saying.

544
00:23:25,405 --> 00:23:26,570
- Sarah?

545
00:23:27,039 --> 00:23:29,907
(glass shattering)

546
00:23:29,909 --> 00:23:30,908
- Oh!

547
00:23:30,910 --> 00:23:32,076
Hey, what's up?

548
00:23:34,013 --> 00:23:35,913
- So this is?

549
00:23:35,915 --> 00:23:36,781
This is art?

550
00:23:37,817 --> 00:23:40,451
- Yeah, it's raw
material for my lover.

551
00:23:40,453 --> 00:23:42,019
Do you like him?

552
00:23:42,021 --> 00:23:44,789
I was thinking about
doing a ménage à trois.

553
00:23:44,791 --> 00:23:46,624
Or do you think
that's too ambitious?

554
00:23:46,626 --> 00:23:48,559
- No, not for you.

555
00:23:48,561 --> 00:23:50,027
- You wanna try?

556
00:23:50,029 --> 00:23:51,996
It's so therapeutic.

557
00:23:51,998 --> 00:23:54,498
Go on, you've been
working so hard.

558
00:23:54,500 --> 00:23:56,167
You gotta let it out.

559
00:23:58,037 --> 00:23:59,770
- I'm good.

560
00:23:59,772 --> 00:24:01,005
- Yeah?

561
00:24:01,007 --> 00:24:02,807
- But, uh, be careful.
Don't hurt yourself.

562
00:24:02,809 --> 00:24:04,708
- I'm using protection.

563
00:24:04,710 --> 00:24:05,643
As always.

564
00:24:05,878 --> 00:24:07,611
- Okay.

565
00:24:07,613 --> 00:24:09,680
And don't drop your garbage
down the laundry chute anymore.

566
00:24:09,682 --> 00:24:11,615
- Yes, ma'am.

567
00:24:11,617 --> 00:24:12,950
- Thank you.

568
00:24:13,886 --> 00:24:15,986
(ominous music)

569
00:24:19,926 --> 00:24:21,659
(wind blowing)

570
00:24:58,664 --> 00:25:01,665
(foreboding music)

571
00:25:12,612 --> 00:25:15,646
(menacing music)

572
00:25:28,227 --> 00:25:30,127
- [Jude] Do you ever get
the feeling like someone's,

573
00:25:30,129 --> 00:25:31,829
like, watching you?

574
00:25:32,632 --> 00:25:33,764
- Not really.

575
00:25:34,634 --> 00:25:36,667
- Yeah, I just...

576
00:25:36,669 --> 00:25:39,169
I've been having this
weird feeling lately

577
00:25:39,171 --> 00:25:42,006
like someone's watching me

578
00:25:42,008 --> 00:25:44,642
and following me and

579
00:25:44,644 --> 00:25:46,911
messing with my stuff.

580
00:25:47,880 --> 00:25:50,581
- I'd like to mess
with your stuff.

581
00:25:50,583 --> 00:25:51,315
Sorry.

582
00:25:51,317 --> 00:25:53,067
(giggling)

583
00:25:53,068 --> 00:25:54,818
I don't know, could it
be one of the girls?

584
00:25:54,820 --> 00:25:58,088
Could they be going through
your underwear drawer?

585
00:25:58,090 --> 00:26:00,608
Maybe Sarah?

586
00:26:00,609 --> 00:26:03,127
I can totally picture
Sarah in your underwear.

587
00:26:03,129 --> 00:26:04,695
- Oh, really?

588
00:26:04,697 --> 00:26:09,700
- And not looking anywhere
near as attractive as you.

589
00:26:09,702 --> 00:26:11,835
Or sexy.

590
00:26:11,837 --> 00:26:14,138
Or talented.

591
00:26:15,107 --> 00:26:17,908
Intelligent or
understanding.

592
00:26:17,910 --> 00:26:18,943
Sexy?

593
00:26:18,945 --> 00:26:20,578
Did I mention sexy?

594
00:26:20,580 --> 00:26:21,946
Really, you're sexy.

595
00:26:21,948 --> 00:26:23,781
- Yeah, you're not
so bad yourself.

596
00:26:23,783 --> 00:26:26,350
You've got a really good
head on your shoulders.

597
00:26:26,352 --> 00:26:28,852
- Well, the rest of
me's not so bad either.

598
00:26:28,854 --> 00:26:30,020
- Yeah.

599
00:26:30,022 --> 00:26:31,655
When am I seeing you?

600
00:26:31,657 --> 00:26:33,257
(distant train horn)

601
00:26:33,259 --> 00:26:35,759
- Um, yeah, um...

602
00:26:35,761 --> 00:26:37,328
Not this week.

603
00:26:38,764 --> 00:26:41,298
'Cause I gotta work nights

604
00:26:41,300 --> 00:26:44,768
and double shifts because
finals are coming up.

605
00:26:44,770 --> 00:26:46,103
- Um-hm.

606
00:26:46,105 --> 00:26:47,137
- You know how it is.

607
00:26:49,709 --> 00:26:50,992
- Yeah, I know.

608
00:26:50,993 --> 00:26:52,276
I'm pulling late rehearsals
too so it's okay.

609
00:26:54,080 --> 00:26:55,846
- But, uh,...

610
00:26:56,682 --> 00:26:57,781
I miss you.

611
00:26:57,783 --> 00:26:58,916
- I miss you.

612
00:26:58,918 --> 00:27:00,651
- And, uh,

613
00:27:00,653 --> 00:27:01,986
I love you.

614
00:27:01,988 --> 00:27:03,921
- Love you too. Talk
to you later.

615
00:27:03,923 --> 00:27:06,690
- [Sarah] Hi, sexy!

616
00:27:07,793 --> 00:27:10,361
- Hi, you're home late.

617
00:27:10,363 --> 00:27:11,829
I thought you
were upstairs.

618
00:27:11,831 --> 00:27:12,830
- It's late?

619
00:27:12,832 --> 00:27:14,031
- Yeah.

620
00:27:14,032 --> 00:27:15,231
- Oh. I'm gonna go back out.

621
00:27:15,234 --> 00:27:17,635
- No! No! No! You can't.
Don't go back out.

622
00:27:17,637 --> 00:27:18,969
- So it's early
when I come back.

623
00:27:18,971 --> 00:27:20,371
- Come back to me.

624
00:27:20,373 --> 00:27:21,905
Let's go.

625
00:27:21,907 --> 00:27:24,041
- Oh, I did the dance.

626
00:27:24,043 --> 00:27:28,345
- No. You've had a little
too much to drink.

627
00:27:28,347 --> 00:27:30,080
(giggling)

628
00:27:30,082 --> 00:27:32,282
- You should come
out with me.

629
00:27:32,284 --> 00:27:34,018
You're working too hard.

630
00:27:34,020 --> 00:27:36,253
- Yeah, well try-outs
first and then fun.

631
00:27:36,255 --> 00:27:39,256
- See? There's always an excuse.

632
00:27:39,258 --> 00:27:45,329
How is your love life on
that tiny screen satisfying?

633
00:27:45,331 --> 00:27:46,330
I don't get it.

634
00:27:46,332 --> 00:27:47,665
- You scare me, Sarah.

635
00:27:47,667 --> 00:27:48,766
- Why?

636
00:27:48,768 --> 00:27:50,701
Just open up! God!

637
00:27:52,004 --> 00:27:55,105
You have sex and then you
get in touch with your body.

638
00:27:55,107 --> 00:27:57,307
Then you do better art.

639
00:27:57,309 --> 00:27:59,009
I mean, seriously.

640
00:27:59,011 --> 00:28:00,377
Ben is adorable.

641
00:28:00,379 --> 00:28:02,212
Why aren't you having
sex with him yet?

642
00:28:02,214 --> 00:28:04,214
- Okay.

643
00:28:04,216 --> 00:28:05,783
Hear me out.

644
00:28:05,785 --> 00:28:08,118
Veronica just
made brownies.

645
00:28:08,120 --> 00:28:10,254
I think we should have two,

646
00:28:10,256 --> 00:28:11,455
not tell her.

647
00:28:11,457 --> 00:28:12,322
- Okay.

648
00:28:12,324 --> 00:28:13,290
- And see if she notices.

649
00:28:13,292 --> 00:28:14,224
- Okay!

650
00:28:16,395 --> 00:28:19,129
(violin music)

651
00:28:24,737 --> 00:28:26,904
(intense violin scratching)

652
00:28:29,442 --> 00:28:31,375
(string breaking)

653
00:28:31,377 --> 00:28:33,477
(eerie music)

654
00:28:33,479 --> 00:28:36,013
(screaming)

655
00:28:39,118 --> 00:28:41,919
(ominous music)

656
00:29:24,897 --> 00:29:26,997
(gasping)

657
00:29:42,181 --> 00:29:44,381
(somber guitar music)

658
00:29:46,886 --> 00:29:49,419
(Jude humming)

659
00:29:50,356 --> 00:29:52,422
(distant train horn)

660
00:29:57,930 --> 00:30:00,931
(guitar strumming)

661
00:30:05,204 --> 00:30:07,471
- That was terrible and that
was not what I was playing.

662
00:30:07,473 --> 00:30:08,872
- What were you playing?

663
00:30:08,874 --> 00:30:11,175
- Paganini's Caprice
Number 24.

664
00:30:11,177 --> 00:30:12,342
- Okay.

665
00:30:12,344 --> 00:30:13,977
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

666
00:30:13,979 --> 00:30:16,113
(somber strumming)

667
00:30:16,115 --> 00:30:18,248
- No. No.

668
00:30:19,251 --> 00:30:21,385
No. Sorry.

669
00:30:23,022 --> 00:30:24,888
- I'll get there.

670
00:30:26,425 --> 00:30:28,258
- Hey, were you watching
me last night?

671
00:30:30,563 --> 00:30:32,262
Well?

672
00:30:32,264 --> 00:30:33,530
- That's really weird.

673
00:30:33,532 --> 00:30:35,933
Last night, Cal was
barking and he woke me up

674
00:30:35,935 --> 00:30:38,836
and I had the strangest feeling
that I was being watched.

675
00:30:38,838 --> 00:30:40,270
But

676
00:30:40,272 --> 00:30:43,240
I looked out the window,
I didn't see anyone.

677
00:30:43,242 --> 00:30:44,875
I thought it must
be my imagination,

678
00:30:44,877 --> 00:30:45,976
but now I'm thinking

679
00:30:45,978 --> 00:30:47,878
I was wrong, Jude,

680
00:30:47,880 --> 00:30:49,546
because how would you know
I was looking out my window

681
00:30:49,548 --> 00:30:51,915
unless I was actually
being watched by you?

682
00:30:51,917 --> 00:30:53,417
- What?

683
00:30:53,419 --> 00:30:55,385
No, I was just, I thought,
I was looking...

684
00:30:55,387 --> 00:30:56,954
- Have you been
spying on me?

685
00:30:56,956 --> 00:30:58,155
- No, I...

686
00:30:58,157 --> 00:31:00,123
You know what,
this little British thing

687
00:31:00,125 --> 00:31:01,358
it's not gonna work on me.

688
00:31:01,360 --> 00:31:03,393
- Oh, really? That's a shame.

689
00:31:03,395 --> 00:31:05,128
Usually it works.

690
00:31:05,130 --> 00:31:06,496
Been listening to
you play music.

691
00:31:06,498 --> 00:31:07,364
- Really?

692
00:31:07,366 --> 00:31:09,066
What do you think?

693
00:31:09,068 --> 00:31:10,234
- It's good.

694
00:31:10,236 --> 00:31:11,468
Not quite there yet, though.

695
00:31:11,470 --> 00:31:12,536
- Oh.

696
00:31:12,538 --> 00:31:14,872
So just pretty good?

697
00:31:15,474 --> 00:31:17,174
I happen to be very good.

698
00:31:18,510 --> 00:31:20,043
- But are you excellent?

699
00:31:20,646 --> 00:31:22,880
- Yeah, I think so.

700
00:31:22,882 --> 00:31:23,881
- Good.

701
00:31:23,883 --> 00:31:24,948
(strumming)

702
00:31:25,985 --> 00:31:27,918
- Your A-string's
out of tune.

703
00:31:27,920 --> 00:31:28,585
- I knew that.

704
00:31:28,587 --> 00:31:30,320
- [Jude] Um-hm.

705
00:31:30,322 --> 00:31:31,488
- Ta-ta, Jude.

706
00:31:33,359 --> 00:31:35,259
- Hey.
- [Jude] Hey.

707
00:31:35,261 --> 00:31:36,960
(somber strumming)

708
00:31:36,962 --> 00:31:38,328
- [Veronica] You're
home early.

709
00:31:38,330 --> 00:31:41,265
- Yeah. Murphy had some
kind of faculty thing

710
00:31:41,267 --> 00:31:42,966
so he let me go early.

711
00:31:42,968 --> 00:31:45,369
(ominous music)

712
00:31:46,605 --> 00:31:50,107
- [Veronica] Well,
was it at least better today?

713
00:31:50,109 --> 00:31:51,975
- Yeah. It was good.

714
00:31:51,977 --> 00:31:53,310
- That's nice.

715
00:31:54,546 --> 00:31:56,346
- [Jude] Ben?

716
00:31:57,516 --> 00:31:58,982
Ben?

717
00:31:58,984 --> 00:32:00,350
- [Veronica] What?

718
00:32:00,352 --> 00:32:02,519
This is Ben's jacket.

719
00:32:02,521 --> 00:32:04,254
- Maybe in your room?

720
00:32:04,256 --> 00:32:06,056
Whoa, okay. I thought
he wasn't coming today.

721
00:32:06,058 --> 00:32:08,008
- Ben?

722
00:32:08,009 --> 00:32:09,959
- [Veronica] Think
he'll stay for dinner?

723
00:32:12,998 --> 00:32:15,933
(Sarah sexually moaning)

724
00:32:24,677 --> 00:32:27,377
(Sarah and Ben giggling)

725
00:32:27,379 --> 00:32:28,979
- [Ben] You said you
wanted to do it though.

726
00:32:28,981 --> 00:32:30,447
(Sarah shushing)

727
00:32:30,449 --> 00:32:33,250
(Sarah moaning)

728
00:32:37,189 --> 00:32:38,221
- [Sarah] Oh my God.

729
00:32:38,223 --> 00:32:40,190
That feels so good.

730
00:32:40,192 --> 00:32:41,725
Oh, that's so good.

731
00:32:41,727 --> 00:32:43,961
(Sarah moaning)

732
00:32:47,399 --> 00:32:50,267
(dramatic music)

733
00:32:54,006 --> 00:32:55,305
- [Ben] Oh my God!

734
00:32:55,307 --> 00:32:56,173
(laughing)

735
00:32:56,175 --> 00:32:57,441
- [Sarah] Stop!

736
00:32:59,378 --> 00:33:02,179
(Sarah moaning)

737
00:33:04,483 --> 00:33:06,216
(glass shattering)

738
00:33:06,218 --> 00:33:07,751
(Sarah screaming)

739
00:33:07,753 --> 00:33:09,353
- [Jude] Sarah, get out!
- [Ben] Shit!

740
00:33:09,355 --> 00:33:10,287
- Get out!

741
00:33:10,289 --> 00:33:11,588
- It didn't mean anything.

742
00:33:11,590 --> 00:33:13,290
- Go, Sarah! Go, Sarah!

743
00:33:13,292 --> 00:33:14,157
You fucking bitch!

744
00:33:14,159 --> 00:33:15,175
- I'm not a bitch!

745
00:33:15,176 --> 00:33:16,192
- [Ben] This isn't
what it seems like.

746
00:33:16,193 --> 00:33:17,209
- I hate that word.

747
00:33:17,210 --> 00:33:18,226
- Can you fucking
hear yourself?

748
00:33:18,230 --> 00:33:20,197
You're definitely a bitch!

749
00:33:20,199 --> 00:33:22,165
- [Ben] Please! It was nothing.
- [Jude] Ben, get out!

750
00:33:22,167 --> 00:33:23,244
- Jude, listen--

751
00:33:23,245 --> 00:33:24,322
- Stop, Ben. Leave!

752
00:33:24,323 --> 00:33:25,400
- I wanted to
surprise you.

753
00:33:25,404 --> 00:33:26,737
- I'm sorry, you wanted
to surprise me?

754
00:33:26,739 --> 00:33:28,138
I wasn't even
gonna be here.

755
00:33:28,140 --> 00:33:29,256
- Jude.

756
00:33:29,257 --> 00:33:30,373
Jude, come on,
don't do this.

757
00:33:30,376 --> 00:33:31,508
- Don't talk to me, Ben.

758
00:33:31,510 --> 00:33:33,076
- Come on, don't do this!

759
00:33:33,078 --> 00:33:34,478
- [Veronica] What
the hell's going on?

760
00:33:34,480 --> 00:33:36,213
- Jude!

761
00:33:36,215 --> 00:33:38,648
(ominous music)

762
00:33:40,652 --> 00:33:43,053
Jude, come on, hear me out.

763
00:33:43,055 --> 00:33:44,755
This isn't what it
seems like, okay?

764
00:33:44,757 --> 00:33:47,391
We weren't, it wasn't,
we didn't mean to...

765
00:33:47,393 --> 00:33:49,760
Come on, will you open
the door, please?

766
00:33:49,762 --> 00:33:51,762
Can we talk about this?

767
00:33:52,731 --> 00:33:55,198
(knocking)

768
00:33:55,200 --> 00:33:57,367
Jude, come on. What
do you want me to say?

769
00:33:57,369 --> 00:33:59,269
If you had just
been there...

770
00:33:59,271 --> 00:34:01,271
- I just want you gone.

771
00:34:06,812 --> 00:34:09,746
(foreboding music)

772
00:34:40,646 --> 00:34:43,280
- Hey, can I join you?

773
00:34:45,617 --> 00:34:46,817
- Sure.

774
00:34:47,553 --> 00:34:49,653
- Need a drink.

775
00:34:51,590 --> 00:34:53,290
- Where's Sarah?

776
00:34:53,292 --> 00:34:55,225
- Oh, she went out.

777
00:34:55,227 --> 00:34:57,127
Told her to give
you some space.

778
00:34:57,129 --> 00:34:58,361
- Thank you.

779
00:34:58,363 --> 00:34:59,763
- Mm-hm.

780
00:34:59,765 --> 00:35:01,698
Where's the boyfriend?

781
00:35:03,168 --> 00:35:04,468
- He's gone.

782
00:35:04,470 --> 00:35:06,236
He's dead to me now.

783
00:35:06,238 --> 00:35:07,304
- Screw him.

784
00:35:08,173 --> 00:35:09,439
What are you doing?

785
00:35:09,441 --> 00:35:10,774
What is this?

786
00:35:11,743 --> 00:35:13,143
I don't even like
this picture.

787
00:35:13,145 --> 00:35:14,478
Here, take this.

788
00:35:17,616 --> 00:35:19,483
This is...

789
00:35:19,485 --> 00:35:22,452
This is the most important
time of your life.

790
00:35:22,454 --> 00:35:24,187
You know that, right?

791
00:35:25,224 --> 00:35:27,824
You can't let
this get to you.

792
00:35:27,826 --> 00:35:29,526
This Sarah shit.

793
00:35:29,528 --> 00:35:31,128
This boyfriend bullshit.

794
00:35:31,130 --> 00:35:33,663
This Murphy stuff
messing with your head.

795
00:35:34,766 --> 00:35:35,866
You don't have
time for that.

796
00:35:35,868 --> 00:35:37,267
- Yeah.

797
00:35:37,269 --> 00:35:40,237
- You know you need to
stay focused, okay?

798
00:35:40,239 --> 00:35:41,805
You know what you want.

799
00:35:44,443 --> 00:35:46,710
- Yeah, you're right.

800
00:35:46,712 --> 00:35:48,512
You're right.

801
00:35:50,482 --> 00:35:51,448
- And, um...

802
00:35:52,651 --> 00:35:57,154
Look, I think you need to
delete these pictures.

803
00:35:57,156 --> 00:35:59,623
- No, come on.
- We do. We do.

804
00:35:59,625 --> 00:36:00,724
I'll be the first.

805
00:36:00,726 --> 00:36:02,359
Look.

806
00:36:02,928 --> 00:36:04,161
Delete.

807
00:36:06,265 --> 00:36:09,199
That was easy. Your turn.

808
00:36:09,201 --> 00:36:10,667
Come on.

809
00:36:11,737 --> 00:36:13,503
- Delete.

810
00:36:13,505 --> 00:36:14,504
- One more.

811
00:36:16,275 --> 00:36:18,058
- Delete.

812
00:36:18,059 --> 00:36:19,842
- Delicious. Now let's
just take a shot. Do it.

813
00:36:22,447 --> 00:36:23,813
- I don't want to do it.

814
00:36:23,815 --> 00:36:25,782
Move. Move.

815
00:36:25,784 --> 00:36:26,716
- Come on.

816
00:36:26,718 --> 00:36:28,919
- Move over.
- Delete them.

817
00:36:28,921 --> 00:36:31,655
- All right.

818
00:36:31,657 --> 00:36:33,557
Delete.
- Yep. I hate that one.

819
00:36:33,559 --> 00:36:34,925
Come on.

820
00:36:34,927 --> 00:36:35,892
(laughing)

821
00:36:35,894 --> 00:36:38,929
- Delete.
- [Veronica] Delete.

822
00:36:38,931 --> 00:36:41,398
- Delete. You do it.

823
00:36:41,400 --> 00:36:43,967
- Don't mind if I do.

824
00:36:43,969 --> 00:36:45,402
- Delete.

825
00:36:45,404 --> 00:36:47,237
- Bye, bye, Ben.

826
00:36:47,239 --> 00:36:48,638
- Delete.

827
00:36:48,640 --> 00:36:50,740
Delete. Delete.

828
00:36:52,244 --> 00:36:55,478
(somber music)

829
00:36:55,480 --> 00:36:58,415
(water trickling)

830
00:37:04,957 --> 00:37:07,857
(humming)

831
00:37:07,859 --> 00:37:10,727
(doorbell ringing)

832
00:37:14,633 --> 00:37:15,999
- Hello?

833
00:37:16,735 --> 00:37:18,635
Can somebody get that?

834
00:37:18,637 --> 00:37:21,871
(doorbell ringing)

835
00:37:21,873 --> 00:37:23,840
Hello?

836
00:37:25,344 --> 00:37:27,544
Is anybody home?

837
00:37:29,248 --> 00:37:31,881
(doorbell ringing)

838
00:37:35,020 --> 00:37:37,487
(knocking on door)

839
00:37:42,961 --> 00:37:45,262
What? Hello?

840
00:37:45,264 --> 00:37:47,397
- Sorry.
- [Jude] Hey.

841
00:37:47,399 --> 00:37:49,432
- We all go a little
mad sometimes.

842
00:37:50,369 --> 00:37:51,618
- What?

843
00:37:51,619 --> 00:37:52,868
- With the knocking,
if I did it too much.

844
00:37:52,871 --> 00:37:54,304
We all go a little
mad sometimes.

845
00:37:54,306 --> 00:37:55,972
The line from the
movie, The Game.

846
00:37:55,974 --> 00:37:57,407
- Oh, yeah.

847
00:37:57,409 --> 00:37:59,342
We all go a little mad.

848
00:37:59,344 --> 00:38:01,678
- Me being crazy.

849
00:38:01,679 --> 00:38:04,013
- Yeah, I'm not really in the
mood for that right now. Sorry.

850
00:38:04,016 --> 00:38:05,915
- Okay, well I came over because
Steve and I wanted to know

851
00:38:05,917 --> 00:38:09,286
if you and the girls want to
join us for dinner tonight.

852
00:38:09,288 --> 00:38:10,987
- Thanks.

853
00:38:12,357 --> 00:38:14,557
I can't make it but
I'll let Veronica know.

854
00:38:14,559 --> 00:38:15,759
- Okay, cool.

855
00:38:15,761 --> 00:38:17,460
- Okay, bye.

856
00:38:17,462 --> 00:38:18,762
- How about--

857
00:38:19,765 --> 00:38:21,765
How about this?

858
00:38:21,767 --> 00:38:23,767
You and I spend
some time together.

859
00:38:24,903 --> 00:38:26,503
- Uhh...

860
00:38:26,505 --> 00:38:28,672
I'm just really
busy right now.

861
00:38:31,376 --> 00:38:33,443
- Okay. Message received.

862
00:38:33,445 --> 00:38:34,477
Loud and clear.

863
00:38:34,479 --> 00:38:35,345
- Okay.

864
00:38:35,347 --> 00:38:36,012
- See you later.

865
00:38:36,014 --> 00:38:37,514
- Bye.

866
00:38:48,660 --> 00:38:50,460
Hey!

867
00:38:52,431 --> 00:38:53,530
Psycho.

868
00:38:54,399 --> 00:38:55,532
- What?

869
00:38:55,534 --> 00:38:57,000
- Psycho.

870
00:38:57,936 --> 00:38:59,402
It's the line
from the movie.

871
00:38:59,404 --> 00:39:00,770
- Correct.

872
00:39:00,772 --> 00:39:02,072
Very impressive, Jude.

873
00:39:02,074 --> 00:39:04,607
(distant train horn)

874
00:39:04,609 --> 00:39:06,643
So, um, dinner tomorrow night?

875
00:39:08,447 --> 00:39:09,779
- We'll see.

876
00:39:10,816 --> 00:39:12,582
- We'll see?

877
00:39:22,461 --> 00:39:24,994
(somber music)

878
00:39:27,566 --> 00:39:28,898
- What? You just
ignore the door?

879
00:39:28,900 --> 00:39:29,833
- I was working.

880
00:39:29,835 --> 00:39:31,318
- Working. Working.

881
00:39:31,319 --> 00:39:32,802
Yeah, you're the only one
to have work to do, Sarah.

882
00:39:32,804 --> 00:39:34,137
- Was it important?

883
00:39:35,474 --> 00:39:36,740
Dave?

884
00:39:37,476 --> 00:39:39,442
He is cute.

885
00:39:40,679 --> 00:39:43,012
(eerie music)

886
00:39:48,019 --> 00:39:50,687
(wind howling)

887
00:40:05,437 --> 00:40:07,604
(distant train horn)

888
00:40:09,808 --> 00:40:12,509
(ominous music)

889
00:40:18,617 --> 00:40:20,650
- Hey.
- Hey.

890
00:40:20,652 --> 00:40:22,085
A big storm is
coming tomorrow.

891
00:40:22,087 --> 00:40:23,086
Storm shutters.

892
00:40:23,088 --> 00:40:24,588
- Katrina big?

893
00:40:24,589 --> 00:40:26,089
- They didn't predict
that one correctly,

894
00:40:26,091 --> 00:40:28,525
so let's just get ready.

895
00:40:28,527 --> 00:40:30,093
- How long's it
supposed to last?

896
00:40:30,095 --> 00:40:31,861
I have my try-out coming up.

897
00:40:31,863 --> 00:40:33,096
- I don't know.

898
00:40:33,098 --> 00:40:34,197
- All done?
- [Veronica] Yeah.

899
00:40:34,199 --> 00:40:35,999
- All right, I'm
gonna go upstairs.

900
00:40:36,001 --> 00:40:38,001
- Hey, wait. Anything new?

901
00:40:38,003 --> 00:40:39,602
Talked to Sarah?

902
00:40:39,604 --> 00:40:41,171
- Seriously?

903
00:40:41,173 --> 00:40:42,839
- Well, you two need
to work things out.

904
00:40:42,841 --> 00:40:43,807
- Why?

905
00:40:43,809 --> 00:40:44,908
- Because we
live together.

906
00:40:44,910 --> 00:40:46,676
- She slept with
my boyfriend.

907
00:40:46,678 --> 00:40:48,178
I'm the one who's supposed
to make things nice?

908
00:40:48,180 --> 00:40:49,446
- Look, she can't help it.

909
00:40:49,448 --> 00:40:51,014
She's a very open person.

910
00:40:51,016 --> 00:40:52,949
- You mean,
a complete slut.

911
00:40:54,820 --> 00:40:57,520
- Jude, she's comfortable
with who she is.

912
00:40:57,522 --> 00:40:59,522
And it wasn't
only her fault.

913
00:40:59,524 --> 00:41:02,459
- Are you serious? Why
are you defending her?

914
00:41:05,464 --> 00:41:06,896
Whose side are you on?

915
00:41:06,898 --> 00:41:09,833
Are you on her side or
are you on my side?

916
00:41:09,835 --> 00:41:11,100
- Look,

917
00:41:11,102 --> 00:41:13,002
this is just like that
order and chaos thing

918
00:41:13,004 --> 00:41:14,204
you're talking about.

919
00:41:14,206 --> 00:41:15,572
Right?

920
00:41:15,574 --> 00:41:17,073
You need to pull
it together.

921
00:41:17,075 --> 00:41:19,042
It's time to get a
hold of your mess.

922
00:41:23,548 --> 00:41:24,881
- Fine.

923
00:41:25,684 --> 00:41:28,084
(eerie music)

924
00:41:31,256 --> 00:41:34,090
(phone alarm)

925
00:41:41,566 --> 00:41:43,833
(romantic violin music)

926
00:42:00,619 --> 00:42:02,185
(wind blowing)

927
00:42:02,187 --> 00:42:04,521
(somber guitar music)

928
00:42:12,831 --> 00:42:14,831
(somber violin music)

929
00:42:21,740 --> 00:42:24,140
(somber guitar music)

930
00:42:32,551 --> 00:42:35,752
(somber violin music)

931
00:42:45,931 --> 00:42:46,913
- Wow.

932
00:42:46,914 --> 00:42:47,896
That was really good,
Jude.

933
00:42:47,899 --> 00:42:48,898
You're talented.

934
00:42:49,901 --> 00:42:51,985
So

935
00:42:51,986 --> 00:42:54,070
you wanna go for a drink
downstairs at the bar?

936
00:42:54,072 --> 00:42:54,938
- Steve's?

937
00:42:54,940 --> 00:42:56,172
- Yeah.

938
00:42:56,174 --> 00:42:57,740
- It's kind of a dive.

939
00:42:57,742 --> 00:43:00,577
- Well, I hear that the
bartender's very talented.

940
00:43:00,579 --> 00:43:01,911
- Oh.

941
00:43:01,913 --> 00:43:02,779
Okay.

942
00:43:02,781 --> 00:43:04,214
- Yeah?

943
00:43:04,215 --> 00:43:05,648
- Yeah.
- See you downstairs.

944
00:43:30,675 --> 00:43:32,108
- Hey, Jude.

945
00:43:32,110 --> 00:43:33,643
- Oh, Steve, hey.

946
00:43:33,645 --> 00:43:35,878
Sorry, I was, I'm gonna--

947
00:43:35,880 --> 00:43:36,913
- Something wrong?

948
00:43:36,915 --> 00:43:37,914
- No.

949
00:43:37,916 --> 00:43:38,948
No, yeah, I'm good.

950
00:43:38,950 --> 00:43:41,217
- Jude, Jude, hi.

951
00:43:47,158 --> 00:43:49,826
Uh, is there a guest list?

952
00:43:49,828 --> 00:43:52,095
(chuckling)

953
00:43:54,633 --> 00:43:56,399
- You guys talking
about classes?

954
00:44:00,271 --> 00:44:02,305
- Uh, surely you
can't be serious.

955
00:44:03,742 --> 00:44:05,375
- I am serious.

956
00:44:06,344 --> 00:44:07,877
Don't call me Shirley.

957
00:44:07,879 --> 00:44:08,911
- Yeah.

958
00:44:08,913 --> 00:44:10,113
- Airplane.

959
00:44:10,115 --> 00:44:11,714
Nice one.

960
00:44:12,183 --> 00:44:13,916
- Yep.

961
00:44:20,225 --> 00:44:23,326
- So, what are you having?

962
00:44:23,328 --> 00:44:25,061
- The usual.

963
00:44:25,664 --> 00:44:26,896
- Which is what?

964
00:44:26,898 --> 00:44:28,164
- Martini.

965
00:44:28,166 --> 00:44:30,867
- "Shaken, not stirred."

966
00:44:30,869 --> 00:44:32,969
- "Stirred, not shaken."

967
00:44:32,971 --> 00:44:34,771
- If it is a martini,
you're not allowed to look

968
00:44:34,773 --> 00:44:36,973
where I get the olives from
'cause it is disgusting.

969
00:44:36,975 --> 00:44:37,974
- Oh, okay.
- Okay?

970
00:44:37,976 --> 00:44:39,008
- So romantic.

971
00:44:39,010 --> 00:44:41,194
- That's me.

972
00:44:41,195 --> 00:44:43,379
Okay, I grab a couple
of these bad boys.

973
00:44:43,381 --> 00:44:46,215
There's at least seven types
of bacteria in this fridge.

974
00:44:46,217 --> 00:44:48,718
I've named each one of them.

975
00:44:48,720 --> 00:44:49,952
Okay.

976
00:44:49,954 --> 00:44:51,888
- Okay?

977
00:44:51,890 --> 00:44:53,356
- You can look now.
Damage is done.

978
00:44:53,358 --> 00:44:56,759
Okay, and then I...
How do I do this again?

979
00:44:56,761 --> 00:44:59,162
Don't knock it until you try
it. I know it looks gross.

980
00:44:59,164 --> 00:45:00,863
Hang on.

981
00:45:00,865 --> 00:45:02,265
- Creative.

982
00:45:02,267 --> 00:45:03,933
(sloshing)

983
00:45:03,935 --> 00:45:06,436
- It goes everywhere
every time.

984
00:45:06,438 --> 00:45:08,171
Maybe you should've
done that.

985
00:45:08,173 --> 00:45:10,206
- I think I'm gonna
stick to music.

986
00:45:10,208 --> 00:45:12,108
But thank you.

987
00:45:12,110 --> 00:45:15,244
(somber radio music)

988
00:45:18,717 --> 00:45:23,352
- Um so, how long have
you been playing music?

989
00:45:23,354 --> 00:45:26,956
- I've been holding a violin
for as long as I can remember.

990
00:45:26,958 --> 00:45:29,992
- So the violin is
older than you are.

991
00:45:29,994 --> 00:45:31,961
- It's 103, yeah.

992
00:45:31,963 --> 00:45:33,062
It's a Gagliano.

993
00:45:33,064 --> 00:45:33,996
Great grandmother's.

994
00:45:33,998 --> 00:45:36,199
- Wow.

995
00:45:36,200 --> 00:45:38,401
I've heard of Battista,
are they similar?

996
00:45:40,071 --> 00:45:42,472
- They both have strings.

997
00:45:42,474 --> 00:45:44,173
- Okay, right.

998
00:45:44,175 --> 00:45:47,376
I don't think this
will kill you,

999
00:45:47,378 --> 00:45:48,911
but give it a go.

1000
00:45:48,913 --> 00:45:50,246
- Okay.

1001
00:45:50,248 --> 00:45:52,248
- And it's good to
see you again, Jude.

1002
00:45:54,219 --> 00:45:55,384
- Yeah.

1003
00:45:55,386 --> 00:45:57,286
- Cheers.
- Cheers.

1004
00:45:57,288 --> 00:45:59,455
(thudding)

1005
00:45:59,457 --> 00:46:01,190
- Hi, Cal!

1006
00:46:01,192 --> 00:46:03,159
- Hey, bud, get down. Come on.

1007
00:46:03,161 --> 00:46:04,527
- Hi!

1008
00:46:04,529 --> 00:46:07,063
- Jeez, you know how to
steal a man's thunder,

1009
00:46:07,065 --> 00:46:08,131
don't you, boy?

1010
00:46:08,133 --> 00:46:09,465
- You gotta be careful.

1011
00:46:09,467 --> 00:46:10,967
I'm on a rebound.

1012
00:46:10,969 --> 00:46:14,036
- Yeah, I heard about
that. I'm sorry.

1013
00:46:14,038 --> 00:46:15,371
- Yeah.

1014
00:46:15,373 --> 00:46:16,873
You know, when you
find your best friend

1015
00:46:16,875 --> 00:46:18,975
in bed with your
boyfriend, it's uh...

1016
00:46:20,311 --> 00:46:22,695
Sorry.

1017
00:46:22,696 --> 00:46:25,080
First date, you're not
supposed to talk about exes.

1018
00:46:25,083 --> 00:46:27,784
- So this is a date. Okay.

1019
00:46:27,786 --> 00:46:29,986
Thought it was
just a drink but...

1020
00:46:31,289 --> 00:46:32,955
- What about you?

1021
00:46:34,125 --> 00:46:35,858
You're new in town.

1022
00:46:35,860 --> 00:46:37,527
Did you leave
anyone behind?

1023
00:46:40,865 --> 00:46:43,266
- Um...

1024
00:46:45,837 --> 00:46:48,404
Look, I-- We just met.

1025
00:46:48,406 --> 00:46:51,307
I didn't want to make
this weird or anything.

1026
00:46:51,309 --> 00:46:52,842
- I'm not taken.

1027
00:46:53,912 --> 00:46:57,914
I mean, I was seeing
someone and...

1028
00:46:57,916 --> 00:46:59,882
I'm not anymore.

1029
00:47:02,153 --> 00:47:05,021
- Did you dump her or
did she dump you or

1030
00:47:05,023 --> 00:47:07,824
was it some, like, mutual thing?

1031
00:47:11,396 --> 00:47:13,529
- Actually, she...

1032
00:47:13,531 --> 00:47:14,397
Sorry.

1033
00:47:14,399 --> 00:47:15,431
She died.

1034
00:47:16,501 --> 00:47:18,334
- I'm sorry.

1035
00:47:18,335 --> 00:47:20,168
- No, it's okay. You wanted
to know. It's fine.

1036
00:47:24,042 --> 00:47:25,308
- Hi, Steve.

1037
00:47:26,411 --> 00:47:27,944
- Hey.

1038
00:47:28,479 --> 00:47:30,279
I was reading something.

1039
00:47:30,281 --> 00:47:32,181
You know, they say that
we're the last generation

1040
00:47:32,183 --> 00:47:33,616
to enjoy sex.

1041
00:47:36,487 --> 00:47:38,020
- Who?

1042
00:47:38,022 --> 00:47:39,021
Who's they?

1043
00:47:40,225 --> 00:47:40,957
A scientist.

1044
00:47:40,959 --> 00:47:43,109
- Oh.

1045
00:47:43,110 --> 00:47:45,260
- Apparently it's a reaction
to over-population, so...

1046
00:47:45,263 --> 00:47:47,496
Pretty soon, sex drive's
just going to disappear.

1047
00:47:47,498 --> 00:47:49,532
No more pleasure.

1048
00:47:49,534 --> 00:47:51,934
No more sex.

1049
00:47:51,936 --> 00:47:53,236
No more people.

1050
00:47:58,910 --> 00:48:00,476
- All right.

1051
00:48:00,478 --> 00:48:02,111
Well, yeah.

1052
00:48:02,113 --> 00:48:04,247
Quite the optimist,
Steve, aren't you?

1053
00:48:04,249 --> 00:48:06,949
- Well, I mean, I know
mine still works.

1054
00:48:06,951 --> 00:48:08,517
What about yours?

1055
00:48:16,995 --> 00:48:18,227
- I gotta go.

1056
00:48:18,229 --> 00:48:19,495
I have rehearsal.

1057
00:48:19,497 --> 00:48:21,464
Yeah, but um...

1058
00:48:21,466 --> 00:48:23,165
Thank you.

1059
00:48:23,167 --> 00:48:24,500
Delightful.

1060
00:48:24,502 --> 00:48:26,369
(chuckling)

1061
00:48:27,238 --> 00:48:28,571
Okay, yeah. I'll see you.

1062
00:48:28,573 --> 00:48:30,039
- Yeah.
- [Jude] Bye.

1063
00:48:30,041 --> 00:48:31,340
- Bye.

1064
00:48:33,378 --> 00:48:35,044
Oh, Jude.

1065
00:48:35,046 --> 00:48:37,613
(wind rushing)

1066
00:48:38,616 --> 00:48:39,548
Jude!

1067
00:48:41,085 --> 00:48:42,285
Hey.

1068
00:48:44,689 --> 00:48:45,922
Keep warm.

1069
00:48:45,924 --> 00:48:47,089
- Oh.

1070
00:48:47,091 --> 00:48:48,357
Thank you.

1071
00:48:49,961 --> 00:48:52,061
- And, um, yeah.

1072
00:48:54,465 --> 00:48:56,065
See you later.

1073
00:48:56,067 --> 00:48:59,402
(train horn)

1074
00:49:08,379 --> 00:49:11,180
(phone chime)

1075
00:49:27,398 --> 00:49:30,666
(intense violin music)

1076
00:49:42,313 --> 00:49:44,480
(knocking)

1077
00:49:45,683 --> 00:49:48,284
- [Sarah] Jude! Please!

1078
00:49:48,286 --> 00:49:50,453
We really need a break!

1079
00:49:50,455 --> 00:49:51,354
(Sarah groaning)

1080
00:49:51,356 --> 00:49:52,555
For fuck's sack, Jude!

1081
00:49:52,557 --> 00:49:55,391
(Sarah pounding)

1082
00:49:56,461 --> 00:50:00,029
Can't you play
something different?

1083
00:50:00,031 --> 00:50:02,064
Great!

1084
00:50:02,066 --> 00:50:03,666
(wind howling)

1085
00:50:06,471 --> 00:50:08,771
(slow rising scale)

1086
00:50:08,773 --> 00:50:11,741
God, you make me
want to kill you!

1087
00:50:14,712 --> 00:50:16,779
(foreboding music)

1088
00:50:16,781 --> 00:50:19,382
(thunder)

1089
00:50:26,758 --> 00:50:28,557
(somber music)

1090
00:50:38,803 --> 00:50:40,436
- What? What? What?

1091
00:50:40,438 --> 00:50:41,437
What? What?

1092
00:50:41,439 --> 00:50:42,638
- Jude, I need
to talk to you.

1093
00:50:42,640 --> 00:50:43,739
- What? What's up?

1094
00:50:43,741 --> 00:50:44,807
- It's about Dave.

1095
00:50:44,809 --> 00:50:46,542
- Stop, I'm a
big girl, okay?

1096
00:50:46,544 --> 00:50:47,710
I don't need--

1097
00:50:47,712 --> 00:50:49,211
- What? Listen to me.

1098
00:50:49,213 --> 00:50:51,213
He's not who you
think he is at all.

1099
00:50:51,215 --> 00:50:53,516
He's some kind of stalker.

1100
00:50:53,518 --> 00:50:55,217
- Seriously? A stalker?

1101
00:50:55,219 --> 00:50:56,318
- I'm serious, Jude.

1102
00:50:56,320 --> 00:50:58,154
I was up--

1103
00:50:58,156 --> 00:50:59,388
- Steve.

1104
00:51:00,591 --> 00:51:02,091
- Hey.

1105
00:51:02,093 --> 00:51:03,692
- Hi. Lunch is ready.

1106
00:51:07,231 --> 00:51:09,698
- You don't mind
if I join, right?

1107
00:51:11,736 --> 00:51:13,769
- I thought it was gonna
be just us two, actually.

1108
00:51:13,771 --> 00:51:16,305
- Oh, well I wouldn't
want to intrude.

1109
00:51:16,307 --> 00:51:18,607
(eerie music)

1110
00:51:25,650 --> 00:51:26,849
- Why not?

1111
00:51:26,851 --> 00:51:29,852
Please, take a seat.
The more the merrier.

1112
00:51:29,854 --> 00:51:32,455
(ominous music)

1113
00:51:36,694 --> 00:51:39,261
(thunder)

1114
00:51:42,300 --> 00:51:45,101
(thunder rumbling)

1115
00:51:45,103 --> 00:51:47,770
(rain splashing)

1116
00:52:03,187 --> 00:52:07,890
(television weather
alarm beeping)

1117
00:52:07,892 --> 00:52:10,142
- [TV Announcer] The following
message is transmitted

1118
00:52:10,143 --> 00:52:12,393
at the request of the Louisiana
State Police Department.

1119
00:52:12,396 --> 00:52:14,163
Civil authorities
have issued a warning

1120
00:52:14,165 --> 00:52:16,665
from Baton Rouge to Saint
Francisville vicinity.

1121
00:52:16,667 --> 00:52:19,335
Travel on interstate
highways and all river roads

1122
00:52:19,337 --> 00:52:21,303
is suspended due
to local flooding

1123
00:52:21,305 --> 00:52:23,973
on inland and
coastal roads.

1124
00:52:23,974 --> 00:52:26,642
Stay tuned for further
details as they follow.

1125
00:52:26,644 --> 00:52:30,279
- Well, looks like we're
not going anywhere.

1126
00:52:30,281 --> 00:52:32,348
Not until the rains
stops anyway.

1127
00:52:32,350 --> 00:52:34,150
Reminds me of London.

1128
00:52:34,152 --> 00:52:37,586
- Yeah, as long as the
roads are clear by morning.

1129
00:52:37,588 --> 00:52:40,222
(thunder)

1130
00:52:41,159 --> 00:52:42,324
Steve?

1131
00:52:42,760 --> 00:52:44,226
You okay?

1132
00:52:45,530 --> 00:52:46,929
- Yeah.

1133
00:52:48,232 --> 00:52:49,698
Great.

1134
00:52:51,769 --> 00:52:55,204
You see, I came to a
terrible discovery.

1135
00:52:55,206 --> 00:52:56,739
(eerie music)

1136
00:52:56,741 --> 00:52:58,374
You can be
desperately in love

1137
00:52:58,376 --> 00:53:00,709
with someone you despise.

1138
00:53:00,711 --> 00:53:02,478
- Day For Night.

1139
00:53:02,947 --> 00:53:05,748
(ominous music)

1140
00:53:06,951 --> 00:53:08,617
- Hey.

1141
00:53:08,619 --> 00:53:10,519
Guys, seriously.

1142
00:53:11,289 --> 00:53:12,454
What's up?

1143
00:53:12,456 --> 00:53:14,623
- Don't ask me, Jude.

1144
00:53:17,195 --> 00:53:18,895
- Okay, Steve?

1145
00:53:18,896 --> 00:53:20,596
- Love means never having
to say you're sorry.

1146
00:53:20,598 --> 00:53:22,531
Or does it?

1147
00:53:23,234 --> 00:53:25,267
(foreboding music)

1148
00:53:26,470 --> 00:53:28,537
So you two hooking
up now or what?

1149
00:53:41,652 --> 00:53:43,819
So I'VE drank all
of your wine

1150
00:53:43,821 --> 00:53:46,455
and ate all of this
delicious food.

1151
00:53:46,457 --> 00:53:48,290
It's only right I,
myself, add something

1152
00:53:48,292 --> 00:53:49,725
to this beautiful
festivity.

1153
00:53:50,861 --> 00:53:53,395
Shall we retire
to my garden?

1154
00:53:53,397 --> 00:53:54,330
Mate?

1155
00:53:57,902 --> 00:53:59,301
- No. No.

1156
00:53:59,303 --> 00:54:01,437
- You know what? Why not?

1157
00:54:02,974 --> 00:54:05,774
(ominous music)

1158
00:54:08,613 --> 00:54:11,480
(lights buzzing)

1159
00:54:15,753 --> 00:54:18,354
(thunder)

1160
00:54:31,702 --> 00:54:33,869
- Do you think I'm funny?

1161
00:54:33,871 --> 00:54:35,404
Funny like a clown?

1162
00:54:36,374 --> 00:54:38,440
I'm here to amuse you?

1163
00:54:39,610 --> 00:54:40,843
- Goodfellas.

1164
00:54:45,549 --> 00:54:47,816
- Here's the thing, Jude.

1165
00:54:47,818 --> 00:54:50,953
I just wanna know how well you
two really know each other.

1166
00:54:50,955 --> 00:54:52,454
No, I know

1167
00:54:52,456 --> 00:54:53,989
you know her.

1168
00:54:55,793 --> 00:54:58,060
How well do you know him?

1169
00:54:59,297 --> 00:55:00,729
- If you've got
something to say,

1170
00:55:00,731 --> 00:55:02,865
please, by all
means, Steve.

1171
00:55:02,867 --> 00:55:04,767
- Why don't you ask him

1172
00:55:04,768 --> 00:55:06,668
what classes he's
taking this summer?

1173
00:55:06,671 --> 00:55:08,404
That is why you're here,

1174
00:55:08,406 --> 00:55:09,738
isn't it, Dave?

1175
00:55:10,675 --> 00:55:13,075
(thunder)

1176
00:55:13,944 --> 00:55:16,512
"You shall not pass."

1177
00:55:18,983 --> 00:55:22,451
- I mean I thought he would
be taking guitar, right?

1178
00:55:30,561 --> 00:55:32,027
- No, I'm not
actually, Jude.

1179
00:55:32,029 --> 00:55:34,897
- Yeah, Jude, he's not taking
any classes this summer.

1180
00:55:34,899 --> 00:55:36,098
I checked.

1181
00:55:37,435 --> 00:55:39,368
Ask him yourself if
you don't believe me.

1182
00:55:39,370 --> 00:55:40,969
- Okay.

1183
00:55:41,472 --> 00:55:43,089
Dave.

1184
00:55:43,090 --> 00:55:44,707
- Hey, maybe I'm
just a bit paranoid

1185
00:55:44,709 --> 00:55:46,041
because of what I
do for a living.

1186
00:55:46,043 --> 00:55:47,543
- Steve?

1187
00:55:48,612 --> 00:55:50,713
- There was always
something about you.

1188
00:55:50,715 --> 00:55:52,848
A little too perfect.

1189
00:55:52,850 --> 00:55:55,651
Like the handsome English
dude in the movies

1190
00:55:55,653 --> 00:55:57,519
that always ends up
being the killer.

1191
00:55:57,521 --> 00:55:58,954
- Really?

1192
00:56:00,091 --> 00:56:01,990
See, I always thought it
was the comic relief

1193
00:56:01,992 --> 00:56:03,359
that turned out
to be the killer.

1194
00:56:03,361 --> 00:56:04,827
Isn't that you, Steve?

1195
00:56:04,829 --> 00:56:07,429
(thunder)

1196
00:56:09,633 --> 00:56:10,999
- You wanna know
what I found out?

1197
00:56:11,001 --> 00:56:12,134
- You know what, okay.

1198
00:56:12,136 --> 00:56:13,569
I'm gonna go out
into the storm

1199
00:56:13,570 --> 00:56:15,003
because it might be
a little less tense.

1200
00:56:15,005 --> 00:56:18,674
- Goddamn it, Jude, that's
what I was telling you outside.

1201
00:56:18,676 --> 00:56:20,476
He's been taking
pictures of you.

1202
00:56:20,478 --> 00:56:21,777
He's stalking you.

1203
00:56:21,779 --> 00:56:24,513
- What are you gonna
show her, mate?

1204
00:56:25,750 --> 00:56:26,682
Pictures?

1205
00:56:27,651 --> 00:56:29,651
Pictures that you
could've taken?

1206
00:56:29,653 --> 00:56:31,453
You could've planted.

1207
00:56:32,823 --> 00:56:34,022
I'm the stalker.

1208
00:56:34,792 --> 00:56:35,958
I just got here, Steve.

1209
00:56:35,960 --> 00:56:38,494
How long have you been
pining after Jude?

1210
00:56:38,496 --> 00:56:39,728
I've seen the way
you look at her,

1211
00:56:39,730 --> 00:56:42,164
that pathetic puppy-dog
look in your eyes.

1212
00:56:44,702 --> 00:56:47,169
I'm telling you, Steve,

1213
00:56:47,171 --> 00:56:50,506
you do not know what you're
getting yourself into.

1214
00:56:50,508 --> 00:56:52,107
This ends right now.

1215
00:56:53,677 --> 00:56:54,943
You understand?

1216
00:56:57,615 --> 00:56:59,148
Good.

1217
00:56:59,150 --> 00:57:00,983
Come on, Jude.

1218
00:57:03,554 --> 00:57:05,187
Jude?

1219
00:57:06,490 --> 00:57:08,090
All right, whatever.

1220
00:57:09,460 --> 00:57:11,527
- What? What is going on?

1221
00:57:11,529 --> 00:57:13,662
- Why don't you believe me?

1222
00:57:13,664 --> 00:57:15,164
Jude, why don't you
ever listen to me?

1223
00:57:15,166 --> 00:57:16,999
I'm not some fucking joke.

1224
00:57:17,001 --> 00:57:18,200
- I know, Steve, I know.

1225
00:57:18,202 --> 00:57:20,102
- I mean, since
I've known you

1226
00:57:20,103 --> 00:57:22,003
I've been the only guy
who's been there for you.

1227
00:57:22,006 --> 00:57:24,139
The only one who
has cared for you

1228
00:57:24,141 --> 00:57:26,575
and you just
string me along,

1229
00:57:26,577 --> 00:57:28,677
while you go from one guy
who treats you like shit

1230
00:57:28,679 --> 00:57:30,512
to this guy who
is literally like

1231
00:57:30,514 --> 00:57:32,214
Jack-the-fucking-Ripper.

1232
00:57:32,216 --> 00:57:34,049
- Stop, Steve. Stop!

1233
00:57:34,051 --> 00:57:35,451
I don't need to hear that.

1234
00:57:35,452 --> 00:57:36,852
Whatever problem you're
having with Dave--

1235
00:57:36,854 --> 00:57:39,087
- Problem I'm
having with Dave?

1236
00:57:39,089 --> 00:57:41,457
You think this
is my problem?

1237
00:57:41,459 --> 00:57:43,625
Go in his room right now
and see what he's hiding.

1238
00:57:43,627 --> 00:57:45,928
You'll know whose
fucking problem this is.

1239
00:57:45,930 --> 00:57:47,980
(thundering)

1240
00:57:47,981 --> 00:57:50,031
Does every woman I meet
have to be a fucking whore?

1241
00:57:52,970 --> 00:57:54,903
Or can you not
handle the truth?

1242
00:57:59,643 --> 00:58:01,844
(smack)

1243
00:58:24,268 --> 00:58:27,135
(menacing music)

1244
00:58:44,255 --> 00:58:47,256
(unsettling music)

1245
00:59:09,613 --> 00:59:11,914
- Steve? Steve, Dave
knew Emily. He did it!

1246
00:59:15,753 --> 00:59:17,886
Breathe! Breathe!

1247
00:59:17,888 --> 00:59:19,721
Breathe, Steve.

1248
00:59:19,723 --> 00:59:21,557
Steve! Steve!

1249
00:59:21,559 --> 00:59:22,691
Steve?!

1250
00:59:22,693 --> 00:59:25,294
(dog snarling)

1251
00:59:26,830 --> 00:59:29,197
(barking)

1252
00:59:29,199 --> 00:59:31,133
(growling)

1253
00:59:31,135 --> 00:59:33,835
(intense music)

1254
00:59:33,837 --> 00:59:36,038
(barking)

1255
00:59:39,276 --> 00:59:42,778
- Jude, I need
to talk to you.

1256
00:59:42,780 --> 00:59:45,647
(menacing music)

1257
00:59:49,587 --> 00:59:51,320
(thud)

1258
00:59:53,257 --> 00:59:54,890
- Monster!

1259
00:59:54,892 --> 00:59:55,724
- Jude!

1260
00:59:55,726 --> 00:59:58,093
(thunder rumbling)

1261
00:59:58,095 --> 01:00:00,862
(intense music)

1262
01:00:03,000 --> 01:00:04,166
- Veronica!

1263
01:00:05,002 --> 01:00:06,735
(groaning)

1264
01:00:11,809 --> 01:00:14,109
Veronica! Veronica!

1265
01:00:20,150 --> 01:00:22,718
(thudding)

1266
01:00:22,720 --> 01:00:24,319
(doorbell)

1267
01:00:37,334 --> 01:00:39,701
(whimpering)

1268
01:00:44,708 --> 01:00:47,109
(unsettling music)

1269
01:00:55,252 --> 01:00:57,152
(banging on door)

1270
01:01:02,393 --> 01:01:04,026
- [Dave] Can we talk?

1271
01:01:06,363 --> 01:01:08,330
- What do you want?

1272
01:01:08,332 --> 01:01:12,334
- [Dave] What I've
wanted since we met.

1273
01:01:12,336 --> 01:01:13,669
Oh, Jude,

1274
01:01:13,671 --> 01:01:17,172
there's just
something about you

1275
01:01:17,174 --> 01:01:19,408
that gets me crazy.

1276
01:01:20,844 --> 01:01:23,011
- I don't know what
you're talking about.

1277
01:01:24,314 --> 01:01:26,214
- [Dave] It's a shame.

1278
01:01:26,215 --> 01:01:28,115
I had a feeling that
you were perfect.

1279
01:01:28,118 --> 01:01:30,352
But alas, you're not.

1280
01:01:31,822 --> 01:01:33,889
- What?

1281
01:01:35,959 --> 01:01:40,062
- [Dave] What am I gonna
do with you now, Jude?

1282
01:01:40,064 --> 01:01:42,197
(Dave sighing)

1283
01:01:42,199 --> 01:01:44,933
Will you open
the door, Jude?

1284
01:01:46,937 --> 01:01:48,970
(door handle rattling)

1285
01:01:53,877 --> 01:01:55,110
Jude?

1286
01:01:55,112 --> 01:01:57,713
Please open the door.

1287
01:01:58,382 --> 01:02:00,415
(thudding)

1288
01:02:00,417 --> 01:02:02,818
(intense music)

1289
01:02:11,862 --> 01:02:13,495
(windows banging)

1290
01:02:30,748 --> 01:02:33,348
(ominous music)

1291
01:02:36,120 --> 01:02:37,819
(glass shattering)

1292
01:02:37,821 --> 01:02:38,954
(intense music)

1293
01:02:41,792 --> 01:02:42,924
Sarah?!

1294
01:02:42,926 --> 01:02:46,361
(eerie music)

1295
01:02:46,363 --> 01:02:49,765
(Jude crying)

1296
01:02:49,767 --> 01:03:00,175
(Jude whimpering)

1297
01:03:00,177 --> 01:03:01,543
Oh, my God.

1298
01:03:01,545 --> 01:03:05,113
(rain pouring)

1299
01:03:05,115 --> 01:03:18,426
(banging)

1300
01:03:18,428 --> 01:03:19,828
- Jude!

1301
01:03:19,830 --> 01:03:23,298
(intense music)

1302
01:03:23,300 --> 01:03:24,533
(yelling)

1303
01:03:24,535 --> 01:03:27,035
Jude!

1304
01:03:27,037 --> 01:03:28,303
(Dave yelling)

1305
01:03:28,305 --> 01:03:38,213
(splashing)

1306
01:03:38,215 --> 01:03:48,256
(exciting music)

1307
01:03:48,258 --> 01:03:58,366
(exciting music)

1308
01:03:58,368 --> 01:04:09,077
(exciting music)

1309
01:04:09,079 --> 01:04:14,983
(whoosh)

1310
01:04:14,985 --> 01:04:25,026
(thudding)

1311
01:04:25,028 --> 01:04:30,966
(thudding)

1312
01:04:30,968 --> 01:04:32,868
- Veronica? Veronica?

1313
01:04:32,870 --> 01:04:33,969
Wake up!

1314
01:04:33,971 --> 01:04:45,213
(sobbing)

1315
01:04:45,215 --> 01:04:48,316
(footsteps)

1316
01:04:48,318 --> 01:04:58,059
(ominous music)

1317
01:04:58,061 --> 01:05:05,433
(footsteps)

1318
01:05:05,435 --> 01:05:15,477
(footsteps)

1319
01:05:15,479 --> 01:05:25,587
(footsteps)

1320
01:05:25,589 --> 01:05:32,427
(footsteps)

1321
01:05:32,429 --> 01:05:34,429
- Here's Davey.

1322
01:05:34,431 --> 01:05:39,067
(Jude screaming)

1323
01:05:39,069 --> 01:05:43,405
(total silence)

1324
01:05:43,407 --> 01:05:53,448
(ominous music)

1325
01:05:53,450 --> 01:06:03,558
(ominous music)

1326
01:06:03,560 --> 01:06:15,470
(ominous music)

1327
01:06:15,472 --> 01:06:19,674
Power went out
some time ago.

1328
01:06:19,676 --> 01:06:23,678
- Steve was right.

1329
01:06:23,680 --> 01:06:32,520
Why are you stalking me?

1330
01:06:32,522 --> 01:06:36,491
- I'm not stalking you, Jude.

1331
01:06:36,493 --> 01:06:40,395
What a rude thing to say.

1332
01:06:40,397 --> 01:06:45,000
I've been fascinated by you.

1333
01:06:45,002 --> 01:06:46,701
Watching you.

1334
01:06:46,703 --> 01:06:51,106
Listening to you struggle
with your music.

1335
01:06:51,108 --> 01:06:55,643
What a disappointment you are.

1336
01:06:55,645 --> 01:06:57,412
You're good.

1337
01:06:57,414 --> 01:06:59,080
You're not great.

1338
01:06:59,082 --> 01:07:06,021
Emily was great.

1339
01:07:06,023 --> 01:07:10,358
And this beautiful
instrument of yours

1340
01:07:10,360 --> 01:07:14,262
I fear might be a little
bit much for you.

1341
01:07:14,264 --> 01:07:17,632
I think it deserves to be
in a pair of better hands.

1342
01:07:17,634 --> 01:07:26,241
But that'll leave
me with a problem.

1343
01:07:26,243 --> 01:07:28,443
What to do with you.

1344
01:07:28,445 --> 01:07:31,312
(eerie music)

1345
01:07:31,314 --> 01:07:35,183
- What do you mean?

1346
01:07:35,185 --> 01:07:37,519
Please.

1347
01:07:37,521 --> 01:07:44,592
Just put it back, please.
Put it back.

1348
01:07:44,594 --> 01:07:47,162
- It's a very valuable
instrument, isn't it?

1349
01:07:47,164 --> 01:07:49,665
- Yeah. Yes.

1350
01:07:49,666 --> 01:07:52,167
- Do you know how to determine
the value of a violin?

1351
01:07:52,169 --> 01:07:55,603
Well, I'll tell you.

1352
01:07:55,605 --> 01:08:00,475
There are a few things
to look out for.

1353
01:08:00,477 --> 01:08:03,278
One,

1354
01:08:03,280 --> 01:08:05,547
it's the detail

1355
01:08:05,549 --> 01:08:07,649
of the scroll.

1356
01:08:07,651 --> 01:08:10,118
You see?

1357
01:08:10,120 --> 01:08:14,122
The other,

1358
01:08:14,124 --> 01:08:17,425
is how refined the edges are.

1359
01:08:17,427 --> 01:08:22,397
But most importantly, Jude,

1360
01:08:22,399 --> 01:08:27,535
the graduation of the
wood at the back.

1361
01:08:27,537 --> 01:08:30,772
But this isn't the original
bow though, it is? No.

1362
01:08:30,774 --> 01:08:34,509
Because the maker's mark
would be here if it was.

1363
01:08:34,511 --> 01:08:36,177
But on the violin,

1364
01:08:36,179 --> 01:08:39,347
the original maker's sticker
would be inside the violin

1365
01:08:39,349 --> 01:08:42,717
and you'd have to look through
the sounding hole to see it.

1366
01:08:42,719 --> 01:08:52,193
(foreboding music)

1367
01:08:52,195 --> 01:09:01,269
I can't make it
out in this light.

1368
01:09:01,271 --> 01:09:04,572
You said this
is a Gagliano.

1369
01:09:04,574 --> 01:09:08,810
- Yeah, it's my Gagliano.

1370
01:09:08,812 --> 01:09:12,247
Remember?

1371
01:09:12,249 --> 01:09:15,250
It was my great
grandmother's.

1372
01:09:15,252 --> 01:09:19,487
- Yeah, it's the Gagliano.

1373
01:09:19,489 --> 01:09:21,890
You said it was a

1374
01:09:21,892 --> 01:09:23,658
hundred and...

1375
01:09:23,660 --> 01:09:24,526
- Three.

1376
01:09:24,528 --> 01:09:27,462
(ominous music)

1377
01:09:27,464 --> 01:09:32,934
- That's old, isn't it?

1378
01:09:32,936 --> 01:09:38,473
(crying)

1379
01:09:38,475 --> 01:09:43,678
Trying to find the
maker's sticker.

1380
01:09:43,680 --> 01:09:48,316
Here you go. Now we're talking.

1381
01:09:48,318 --> 01:09:51,352
Found the sticker.

1382
01:09:51,354 --> 01:09:54,789
Wait.

1383
01:09:54,791 --> 01:09:56,624
What?

1384
01:09:56,626 --> 01:09:58,660
No, this isn't right. What?

1385
01:09:58,662 --> 01:10:01,863
This isn't supposed
to happen.

1386
01:10:01,865 --> 01:10:05,867
Wait. This can't happen.

1387
01:10:05,869 --> 01:10:11,673
This is supposed
to be a Battista.

1388
01:10:11,675 --> 01:10:13,841
(intense music)

1389
01:10:13,843 --> 01:10:19,981
(screaming)

1390
01:10:19,983 --> 01:10:21,416
- Die!

1391
01:10:21,418 --> 01:10:22,984
Fucking die!

1392
01:10:22,986 --> 01:10:25,620
(Dave groaning)

1393
01:10:25,622 --> 01:10:39,267
Fucking die!

1394
01:10:39,269 --> 01:10:40,735
Please die.

1395
01:10:40,737 --> 01:10:50,778
(Jude crying)

1396
01:10:50,780 --> 01:10:58,286
(Jude crying)

1397
01:10:58,288 --> 01:11:08,329
(ominous music)

1398
01:11:08,331 --> 01:11:18,439
(ominous music)

1399
01:11:18,441 --> 01:11:28,349
(ominous music)

1400
01:11:28,351 --> 01:11:38,459
(ominous music)

1401
01:11:38,461 --> 01:11:48,369
(ominous music)

1402
01:11:48,371 --> 01:11:58,479
(ominous music)

1403
01:11:58,481 --> 01:12:08,389
(ominous music)

1404
01:12:08,391 --> 01:12:18,499
(ominous music)

1405
01:12:18,501 --> 01:12:28,409
(ominous music)

1406
01:12:28,411 --> 01:12:38,519
(ominous music)

1407
01:12:38,521 --> 01:12:48,429
(ominous music)

1408
01:12:48,431 --> 01:12:58,539
(ominous music)

1409
01:12:58,541 --> 01:13:08,449
(ominous music)

1410
01:13:08,451 --> 01:13:18,559
(ominous music)

1411
01:13:18,561 --> 01:13:28,469
(ominous music)

1412
01:13:28,471 --> 01:13:35,777
(ominous music)

1413
01:13:35,779 --> 01:13:43,551
(train horn)

1414
01:13:43,553 --> 01:13:53,594
(intense music)

1415
01:13:53,596 --> 01:13:59,100
(intense music)

1416
01:13:59,102 --> 01:14:05,006
- [Ben] We good to go?

1417
01:14:05,008 --> 01:14:08,009
- Steve was my--

1418
01:14:08,011 --> 01:14:09,577
- I know.

1419
01:14:09,579 --> 01:14:14,782
I'm sorry.

1420
01:14:14,784 --> 01:14:17,885
- I'm still mad at you.

1421
01:14:17,887 --> 01:14:27,929
- [Ben] I'm sorry
about that too.

1422
01:14:27,931 --> 01:14:38,039
- [Ben] I'm sorry
about that too.

1423
01:14:38,041 --> 01:14:47,048
- [Ben] I'm sorry
about that too.

1424
01:14:47,050 --> 01:14:54,922
(police sirens)

1425
01:14:54,924 --> 01:14:56,591
- [911 Dispatcher] 911,
what's your emergency?

1426
01:14:56,593 --> 01:14:58,659
- [Dave] There's
blood all over the place.

1427
01:14:58,661 --> 01:15:00,194
My roommate's
been stabbed.

1428
01:15:00,196 --> 01:15:01,996
- [911 Dispatcher] Can
you give me your address?

1429
01:15:01,998 --> 01:15:04,699
- [Dave ] My house, 613 Bank
Street. Send someone now.

1430
01:15:04,701 --> 01:15:06,712
Hurry up, please!

1431
01:15:06,713 --> 01:15:08,724
- [911 Dispatcher] Most of
the roads are still unpassable

1432
01:15:08,725 --> 01:15:10,736
but we'll send police and
ambulance as soon as we can.

1433
01:15:10,740 --> 01:15:12,490
Is anyone with you?

1434
01:15:12,491 --> 01:15:14,241
- [Dave] My neighbor, Jude
Hunter. She just ran out.

1435
01:15:14,244 --> 01:15:16,010
Maybe to her house next door.

1436
01:15:16,012 --> 01:15:17,845
- [911 Dispatcher] Okay,
sir, stay where you are.

1437
01:15:17,847 --> 01:15:19,847
(dog whimpering)

1438
01:15:19,849 --> 01:15:21,249
- Detective.

1439
01:15:21,250 --> 01:15:22,650
Found this little
guy alive upstairs.

1440
01:15:22,652 --> 01:15:24,018
- Great.

1441
01:15:24,020 --> 01:15:26,988
Book him.

1442
01:15:26,990 --> 01:15:30,291
- Come on, boy.

1443
01:15:30,293 --> 01:15:33,561
(train horn)

1444
01:15:33,563 --> 01:15:34,862
- Excuse me.

1445
01:15:34,864 --> 01:15:36,731
Detectives,

1446
01:15:36,733 --> 01:15:38,666
I'm Professor Murphy

1447
01:15:38,668 --> 01:15:39,800
from the university.

1448
01:15:39,802 --> 01:15:41,936
- Tell us what you
know about this.

1449
01:15:41,938 --> 01:15:43,571
- All I know is that

1450
01:15:43,573 --> 01:15:46,807
the woman that lives in this
house is a student of mine

1451
01:15:46,809 --> 01:15:49,076
and I came over because she
left me this frantic voicemail

1452
01:15:49,078 --> 01:15:51,646
and I came as
quickly as I could.

1453
01:15:51,648 --> 01:15:53,247
She kept on, she kept on--

1454
01:15:53,249 --> 01:15:54,949
- Slow down. Settle down.

1455
01:15:54,951 --> 01:15:57,818
- She kept on repeating
that she was on her way,

1456
01:15:57,820 --> 01:16:00,721
that she wouldn't be late for
our FAC Fellowship try-outs.

1457
01:16:00,723 --> 01:16:02,657
- Where are those?

1458
01:16:02,659 --> 01:16:05,326
- They're at
the university.

1459
01:16:05,328 --> 01:16:07,795
But they aren't for
another three months.

1460
01:16:07,797 --> 01:16:09,964
And she...

1461
01:16:09,966 --> 01:16:13,768
She didn't even qualify.

1462
01:16:13,770 --> 01:16:15,670
(eerie music)

1463
01:16:15,672 --> 01:16:17,305
(gasp)

1464
01:16:17,307 --> 01:16:18,973
(tires screeching)

1465
01:16:18,975 --> 01:16:20,341
- We need to get
her back here.

1466
01:16:20,343 --> 01:16:21,659
- Right.

1467
01:16:21,660 --> 01:16:22,976
- We need to ask
you some questions.

1468
01:16:22,979 --> 01:16:24,845
- Yes, of course,
anything.

1469
01:16:24,847 --> 01:16:27,214
- [Detective] Was Emily Foster
a student of yours as well?

1470
01:16:27,216 --> 01:16:28,849
- [Murphy] What does Emily
have to do with this?

1471
01:16:28,851 --> 01:16:31,385
- [Detective] There
may be a connection.

1472
01:16:31,386 --> 01:16:33,920
- [Murphy] Emily and Jude
were both students of mine.

1473
01:16:33,923 --> 01:16:35,506
- [Detective] One
of the victims

1474
01:16:35,507 --> 01:16:37,090
appears to have been
Emily's boyfriend.

1475
01:16:37,093 --> 01:16:38,859
- [Murphy] Oh my God,
that would be David.

1476
01:16:38,861 --> 01:16:41,028
He was a grad student.

1477
01:16:41,030 --> 01:16:43,898
When she died, he was convinced
somebody had killed her.

1478
01:16:43,900 --> 01:16:46,200
- [Detective] And you believe
that your student, Jude,

1479
01:16:46,202 --> 01:16:47,702
was involved?

1480
01:16:47,703 --> 01:16:49,203
- [Murphy] That's
what people say.

1481
01:16:49,205 --> 01:16:51,639
David was convinced she was.

1482
01:16:51,641 --> 01:17:05,252
(intense music)

1483
01:17:05,254 --> 01:17:08,356
(car horn)

1484
01:17:08,358 --> 01:17:20,701
- Does every woman I meet
have to be a fucking whore?

1485
01:17:20,703 --> 01:17:22,269
- You need to
pull it together.

1486
01:17:22,271 --> 01:17:28,376
It's time to get a
hold of your mess.

1487
01:17:28,378 --> 01:17:33,280
(groaning)

1488
01:17:33,282 --> 01:17:35,082
- Dave.

1489
01:17:35,084 --> 01:17:49,964
He's cute.

1490
01:17:49,966 --> 01:17:51,832
- Ben.

1491
01:17:51,834 --> 01:18:05,212
- If you had
just been there.

1492
01:18:05,214 --> 01:18:12,186
- [Ben] Are you excited?

1493
01:18:12,188 --> 01:18:14,121
- Yes.

1494
01:18:14,123 --> 01:18:17,324
Yes.

1495
01:18:17,326 --> 01:18:19,026
I'm so happy you're here.

1496
01:18:19,028 --> 01:18:22,463
- I wouldn't miss it.

1497
01:18:22,465 --> 01:18:25,966
Hey.

1498
01:18:25,968 --> 01:18:29,103
You're the gifted one.

1499
01:18:29,105 --> 01:18:39,146
(dramatic music)

1500
01:18:39,148 --> 01:18:44,285
(dramatic music)

1501
01:18:44,287 --> 01:18:45,953
I believe in you.

1502
01:18:45,955 --> 01:18:47,855
I've always
believed in you.

1503
01:18:47,857 --> 01:18:58,265
You're perfect.

1504
01:18:58,267 --> 01:19:04,472
(police sirens)

1505
01:19:04,474 --> 01:19:06,006
- [Police Announcer]
Step out of the car

1506
01:19:06,008 --> 01:19:08,876
put your hands
on your head!

1507
01:19:08,878 --> 01:19:11,879
- [Murphy] Honored
judges and guests,

1508
01:19:11,881 --> 01:19:13,848
presenting Jude Hunter

1509
01:19:13,850 --> 01:19:15,516
from the Baton Rouge
Conservatory,

1510
01:19:15,518 --> 01:19:17,885
auditioning with
Paganini's Caprice

1511
01:19:17,887 --> 01:19:19,887
Number 24.

1512
01:19:19,889 --> 01:19:25,226
(train crossing bells)

1513
01:19:25,228 --> 01:19:38,305
(dramatic music)

1514
01:19:38,307 --> 01:19:42,143
(exciting music)

1515
01:19:42,145 --> 01:19:52,186
(train crossing bells)

1516
01:19:52,188 --> 01:20:01,829
(train crossing bells)

1517
01:20:01,831 --> 01:20:09,170
(train horn)

1518
01:20:09,172 --> 01:20:13,107
- [Murphy] And the winner of
this year's FAC competition

1519
01:20:13,109 --> 01:20:15,042
Miss Jude Hunter.

1520
01:20:15,044 --> 01:20:19,280
(train horn)

1521
01:20:19,282 --> 01:20:22,516
- [Ben] Jude?

1522
01:20:22,518 --> 01:20:24,285
They're waiting for you.

1523
01:20:24,287 --> 01:20:26,587
(train horn)

1524
01:20:26,589 --> 01:20:28,989
(car engine revving)

1525
01:20:28,991 --> 01:20:36,397
(train horn)

1526
01:20:36,399 --> 01:20:49,376
(train horn)

1527
01:20:49,378 --> 01:20:54,949
(crash)

1528
01:20:54,951 --> 01:21:04,992
(somber violin music)

1529
01:21:04,994 --> 01:21:15,102
(somber violin music)

1530
01:21:15,104 --> 01:21:25,012
(somber violin music)

1531
01:21:25,014 --> 01:21:35,122
(somber violin music)

1532
01:21:35,124 --> 01:21:45,032
(somber violin music)

1533
01:21:45,034 --> 01:21:55,142
(somber violin music)

1534
01:21:55,144 --> 01:22:05,052
(somber violin music)

1535
01:22:05,054 --> 01:22:15,162
(somber violin music)

1536
01:22:15,164 --> 01:22:25,072
(somber violin music)

1537
01:22:25,074 --> 01:22:33,480
(somber violin music)

1538
01:22:33,482 --> 01:22:47,594
(music box chiming)

1539
01:22:47,596 --> 01:22:51,699
(dramatic music)
