Heated Guidelines

*When arguing, always assume that the other person is arguing in good faith, and try to remain as civil as possible. Please do not make purposefully inflammatory statements about other users. Breaking this rule after being warned will result in a temporary mute from #heated.

*Do not participate if you can't be civil. Discussions here aren't meant to be a personal attack. Avoid directing sarcasm at other users in an antagonizing way. If a mod asks for you to cool it, please do. Breaking this rule after being warned will result in a temporary mute from #heated.

*No spamming or shitposting. It just makes people angrier and takes away from the discussion. If a discussion starts going offtopic you can switch to a different channel. Breaking this rule after being warned will result in a temporary mute from #heated.

*If you have been muted from the channel, do not drag	the topic to a different channel. Doing so will result in an official strike. If you have problems with moderation, take it to PMs.

*Take time with responses. Being rushed can mess up your responses and cloud your judgement. Don't let other people rush you either.

*Some arguments won't do anything but go in circles. You don't have to change the mind of the person you are arguing with to "win". Consider agreeing to disagree if you've reached a dead end.
