BSA- Grammar Revision

The Boy Scouts of America just released a statement that it will now allow girls to join the BSA as cub scouts, go through the program, and earn the rank of Eagle Scout.

This, of course, is just the newest stage of the program's decline on the slippery slope leftists swear doesn't exist, despite having already taken the program through gay pedophile adult leader acceptance, then gay youth (???) acceptance, then tranny scout acceptance in the last 15-20 years.

The decline itself, however, is a symptom of a larger problem that afflicts human organizations of all types: loss of focus and over scaling.

I include these as one rather than two problems, because they have a chicken/egg relationship: does a group focused entirely on obscure anime facts gradually become a general social club, lose its apparent boundaries with the rest of society and then dissolve because it admits those insufficiently dedicated to the subject matter, or because it admits too many people and makes it administratively difficult to manage? Can you even tell the difference?

For a simpler example, if I make a high IQ club like Mensa with an IQ cutoff around 130, that necessarily only allows about 2% of the population to join it. If I open the club to greater than 2% of the population, the average IQ of the group will asymptotically approach 100, the national average, diluting the group's focus on the goal, while at the same time making the group larger and more unwieldy until it becomes difficult to coordinate and manage all of its members towards the same goal. Overscaling and mission creep are two sides of the same coin.

Ignore the BSA's stated aims for a minute and instead simply look at their actual behavior and try to tell me what the goal of the BSA is. They have a ranked progression system whereby being certified in various skills modules and spending certain amounts of time at the prior rank, they can advance until the most diligent reach, Rank X. Some skills modules are prioritized above others. What are they?

-Camping.
-Cooking.
-Swimming, Hiking, or Cycling.
-Citizenship in the Community.
-Citizenship in the Nation.
-Citizenship in the World.
-Communication.
-Lifesaving and/or Emergency Preparedness.
-Environmental Science or Sustainability.
-Family Life.
-First Aid.
-Personal Fitness.
-Personal Management.

Considering that "Family Life" cannot mean anything conservative as they now admit homosexuals and trannies to their ranks, what does any of this mean? It all points towards somebody who can hang out in national parks in REI gear, do CPR on someone, cheerlead Green Sustainability Solutions and generally be a responsible Nice Person. They even require an overtly communist "Citizens of the World" merit badge.

The question I want you to ask yourself is, aside from the camping part, how is this program substantially different from being UC Berkeley with thousands of nationwide satellite campuses?

It's not, and it's because this organization like many others has experienced substantial mission creep. Nobody noticed it, but the name itself gives it away and points towards other clues.

The program is called "The Boy Scouts of America." In other words, scouts who are boys.

First of all, what is a scout?

Wiki tells us,

"A scout is a soldier performing reconnaissance and other support duties," and "In military operations, reconnaissance is the exploration outside an area occupied by friendly forces to gain information about natural features and enemy presence."

In other words, the mission statement as boldly pointed out in the name, is to take boys and train them to first and foremost be soldiers, then to teach them to navigate a hostile unbroken natural environment, then return safely and undetected with information about the lay of the land and the enemy.

That makes a lot of sense when you look at the original list of 14 merit badges:

-Ambulance: renamed First Aid in 1911.
-Clerk: renamed Business in 1911, renamed American Business in 1966.
-Cyclist: renamed Cycling in 1911.
-Electrician: renamed Electricity in 1911.
-Fireman: renamed Firemanship in 1911, renamed Fire Safety in 1995.
-Gardener: renamed Gardening in 1911.
-Horseman: renamed Horsemanship in 1911.
-Marksman: renamed Marksmanship in 1911, renamed Rifle and Shotgun Shooting in 1966, split into Rifle Shooting and -Shotgun Shooting in 1987.
-Master-at-Arms: discontinued in 1911.
-Musician: renamed Music in 1911.
-Pioneer: renamed Pioneering in 1911.
-Seaman: renamed Seamanship in 1911, split into Motorboating and Small-Boat Sailing in 1964.
-Signaller: renamed Signaling in 1911, discontinued in 1992, revived for one year only, in 2010 as Signaling.
-Stalker: renamed Stalking in 1911, discontinued in 1952, revived for one year only, in 2010 as Tracking

Other than knowing how to handle money and grow a garden, all of these are directly relevant to the obvious original aim of the program as betrayed by its name: how to move, shoot, and survive in a hostile environment, how to repair equipment, treat wounds, and keep morale high throughout the operation with music.

This original aim also explains why scouts are organized into "troops" and within each troop, several "patrols." It explains why they wear pseudo-army uniforms, learn to march, salute, bear flags, wear their ranks as patches on the arms.

The last important point revealed by the name is the ending, the "of America" part. The group was explicitly comprised of American youth to prepare them to serve America in a military capacity. A patriotic youth paramilitary. From childhood, training US to fight THEM. This is the foundations of the Boy Scouts of America.

Look at it today, comprised of "people" - boys, girls, trannies - taking classes like "Communication" and "World Citizenship." Whereas the youth of the past learned to box, wrestle and shoot, the current BSA manual includes a chapter on bullying, which instructs them to go tell an adult if they are being cyber-bullied. "Scouts." These are our "scouts," our light infantry and reconnaissance. Doesn't it sound laughable and retarded by now?

This is the effect of the twin evils of mission creep and inclusiveness.

Now take a step back and consider: is your whole country not an organization of its own? If it is, where are its boundaries and who does it include in its ranks? I think I remember the teachers telling me something about "free white persons of good character," but I don't remember exactly how it all fit. Oh well, better not think about it. I think I'll go click social media and eat hot pockets like a good Scout. Say no to cyberbullying!
