  1. It has changed many times through the ages. i have come up with a theory that as atmospheric pressure changes, so does the pitch of pleasing sounds. so 14.7psi = 440hz, this means a ratio of 0.0334090909... so then if we follow the math, then the average atmospheric pressure WHEN 432 was pleasing would be 14.4 psi. this makes me wonder if it is a count-down clock, where the atmosphere will get smaller (less air at higher altitudes) to increased atmospheric pressure which will 'raise' the pleasing tone of A - i will be very upset to find out those buzzy love and liters had it correct all along ;}
