  1. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  2. 1). What do you believe is expected of you, on a moral level?
  3. Aman - 23/11/2017
  4. I believe, that from having me as an admin, you expect a good sense of judgements, and you expect me to dish out fair punishments if that would be needed. That i treat all players equally, and don't pick favourites from friends, and so on.
  5. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  6. Also when you're done answering " write " done, so I know.
  7. Aman - 23/11/2017
  8. Also that i will meet players with a good attitude, not acting bad towards them and letting anything affect my sense of judgement, and once agian treating everyone fairly.

  11. How do you feel about the administrator position, do you believe it should be treated as a volunteer position, or paid position?
  12. Aman - 23/11/2017
  13. I feel that it should be treated as a volunteer position. Being an admin, you volunteer to help the community, not expecting anything much in return. I feel good about it, since you get the contribute to the community that has been built on Owl in all these years.
  14. Done(redigeret)
  15. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  16. Is it reasonable for us to expect you to put the position ahead of your personal enjoyment despite being a volunteer?
  17. Aman - 23/11/2017
  18. I believe that it is, reasonable for you to expect that. When signing up for a position in the GAT, you should expect to often have to almost not have to have time to Roleplay yourself. Since when you are an admin, it is your duty to do such things. Therefore i believe that it is reasonable for you to expect that. That is what i expect from myself, joining the Game Administration Team.

  20. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  21. When should you ignore a rule, to better a situation?
  22. Aman - 23/11/2017
  23. Never. Rules are set in stone for the community. You should never ''ignore'' a rule. Sometimes, you will encounter a rule that has to be followed, and that may cause one party involved in a situation to suffer a loss. Still, the rules need to be followed, to provide a fair and fun experience for all players.

  25. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  26. What do you expect of players, and staff members?
  27. Aman - 23/11/2017
  28. From the players, i would expect that they would do their best to follow the rules. I don't expect much from the players, really. Since some might be here to mess with others, but thats what the GAT is for. I expect from players to do their best to respect fellow players, and the concept of RP.
  29. From staff members, i expect the same as you would expect from me. To treat all players well, dish out fair punishments, as well as meet eachother with a good and polite attitude, again not taking ''favorites'' of any players. Also expecting that they contribute to solving reports, and help improve the server over time.
  30. Done.
  31. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  32. Why are you joining the Game Administration Team?
  33. Aman - 23/11/2017
  34. I am joining the Team so that i can help improve the community. I very much appreciate the work that Administrators do, and i'd love to contribute to it. I think i would be good at it. On top of all this, i have a great amount of free time on my hands, and i already spend most of it on this very server. For a long time i have been seeing what admins do, and always have wanted to join them. I then realized, that i actually could. I have a very friendly attitude, and i think it could do a lot of good in the GAT. These strenghts are a large part of the reason i am applying to join the GAT.
  35. Done.
  36. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  37. Do you have any unique or innovative ideas to bring to the team?
  38. Aman - 23/11/2017
  39. Well, over the time i have gotten some ideas where i thought that they could improve the game a lot. At the moment i can't remember any, but by having me in the GAT, you can expect to often recieve good ideas and suggestions to improve the server and gameplay.
  40. Done.
  41. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  42. Do you believe that should infringe on your opportunity of being an administrator?
  43. Aman - 23/11/2017
  44. I can't think of why that would be a bad thing for my opportunity to become an administrator. Bringing in good ideas and constructive criticism is always a good thing, but not always well recieved. I do not have much criticism to dish out to the server and it's staff, but i do believe that i can over time, contribute with some good ideas.
  45. Done.
  46. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  47. What is your opinion on the Server’s current status?
  48. Aman - 23/11/2017
  49. I think it's great. The different teams and maintenance teams on the server are doing a great job at maintaining and improving the server. Although, lately since an update there hav been a few bugs, such as a big causing generics to be renamed to ''generic item'', but overall i think the server in its current state is Good.
  50. Done.
  51. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  52. How should new players be treated, in contrast to experienced players?
  53. Aman - 23/11/2017
  54. well, i think all players should be treated equally. Still, i think we should cut new players a bit of slack. Im not saying we should refrain from punishing them, but new players should be treated with more of a helpful attitude. Guiding them in their jounry of learning RP, and becoming ''experienced'' with it. Roleplaying can be tough when you are just getting into it, which is why i believe we should help new players on the way. Otherwise, i think they should be treated somewhat the same as experienced players. Since we treat experienced players with a bit of a heavier hand, since when they break the rules, we imagine that they are more aware of the mistakes they are making.
  55. Done.
  56. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  57. When should you raise the severity of a punishment?(redigeret)
  58. Aman - 23/11/2017
  59. The severity of a punishment should be raised depending on the effect the violation has had on the community / game. Alt to Alt is a very big violation, as it can affect the game greatly, also breaking the immersion. Therefore the punishment on this violation is very high. But things such as not roleplaying that you fall off a tree in the desert, isn't very gamebreaking. This is why the punishment is low for those types of violations. To summarize, a punishment should be more ssevere depending on hw much of an impact the violation has had, and how many rules it has been broken. Has the player done this violation before, or been warned for it? If yes, the punishment would of course be more severe.

  61. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  62. Player A reports player B for OOC insults. Player B instigates by swearing, however not insulting. Player A responds to the swearing with insults, followed by Player B replying with insults. Who is it at fault, what is your course of action?
  63. Aman - 23/11/2017
  64. I belive both are partially at fault. B was not clear enough, or maybe they were. We can't know. But player A should never have insulted player B back. He should have ignored the player after reporting. Plaer B should not have continued the cycle of swearing. From here, i would warn both players, and explain to them what went wrong in this scenario. From this they would be more aware for the future. Since it was a misunderstanding, they still did break the rule of OOC insults. I would give them both a Warning to be laid on their /history. Before doing all this, i would (after clearing the situation up for them) ask if they still were angry at eachother, or wanted the other party punished. If they made peace, there shouldn't be a punishment. If they did not make peace, the beforementioned would be done.
  65. Done.
  66. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  67. player is reported for deathmatching. The player perfectly roleplayed taking out their weapon and firing upon their target. The player’s reasoning is that they thought their target was somebody else, due to similar nametags and vehicles. Was any rule broken?
  68. Aman - 23/11/2017
  69. Yes. Even though the player ''thought'' that the person fired upon was someone else, they still did break the rules that need to be followed before you can shoot someone. Basically, the attacker broke the rules that stop players from shooting eachother for no reason.
  70. Done.
  71. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  72. What rule?
  73. Aman - 23/11/2017
  74. There is a rule that states(Written in my own words): You cannot Player Kill someone unless they have threatened you ICly, or unless you have a Character Kill application that has been accepted for that player.
  75. Done.
  76. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  77. A player is reported for failing to RP an accident. There is no evidence or logs to back the accusation, what do you do?
  78. Aman - 23/11/2017
  79. I ask the player being accused if they did crash, and failed to RP it. If they reported player denies involvement, i tell the player that made the report that i cannot punish someone for something they are accused of, unless there is valid evidence to back it up. From there i leave there player, closing the report, since there is nothing else i can do without proof being provided.
  80. Done.
  81. Swanker - 23/11/2017
  82. That was the last question, thanks for doing the interview.
