The party prepared by loading the cannon, lighting the gunpowder, and moving Pan into position with his escape ready.

It worked without a hitch. Simultaneously, Pan bathed the harpies, gargoyle, and Baldwin with acid, while the gunpowder explosion went off, exploding the inner wall outward, and the cannonball collapsed the overhanging platform onto Baldwin and Eaoric. Baldwin was badly hurt by this sequence of events. Emilia impeded the movement of all involved with an entangle after the explosion had subsided.

As a cool guy, not one to look at explosions, Pan immediately turned away and drank his potion of invisibility when required to rejoin the party.

The explosion caused the Talon of the Godsworn to hurtle through the air and land at Alasdair's feet, as if the object were propelled towards him by some inherent pull or singular volition.

The strategy of luring the enemy harpies into a bottleneck, with the cannon and flesh golems worked quite well. Alasdair fended them off with the flesh golems and Emilia's arrow and cannonfire.

Ryardynin beguiled the harpies and even managed to outwit Eaoric with his magic, turning them against each other. Eaoric seemed to display some underlying distaste with the harpies, which he vented. Eaoric displayed his foul magics in this process, blasting one of the harpies with baleful green flames from his mouth and peppering several more with vile sorcery.

During the battle, Ryardynin deduced the eldest daughters of Gueva were bound by a pact with Tarmyra. They were void of true volition, were afflicted by a certain 'madness' that manifests as an empty mind and an insatiable bloodlust.

Furthermore, he recalled Tarmyra, one of the outer gods of the beyond, governs abominations, deformity, and madness. Her most devoted followers undergo an 'ascension' ritual to become close to her.

At times the fight was touch and go. Nevertheless, the entire party emerged victorious without falling. The harpies were finished off, except Gueva the younger. She seemed quite dim, and did not understand the situation. Pan, recalling his regret with Nathan, defended the fledgling from Emilia's bloodlust. He seemed intent to rescue this innocent, who seemed to lack the capacity to understand the life she was born into.

The fate of the Meditations of Balvir are unknown. They were last spotted on Baldwin's person.
The fate of Kryštóz Doryphoroi and his squad of myrmidons are unknown.
Eaoric the Bloodthirsty and Seeress Şídibay are unknown. Both mysterious figures escaped during the carnage.

Harpies slain counter: 73/100 confirmed (37 toddlers or eggs, 36 combatants). Unknown how many have perished outside fort Vendraal at the hands of Kryštóz Doryphoroi's myrmidons.
