BACKGROUND >> Allison Chiara Jeon (Korean Name Jeon Junghye) was born in London, Ontario, Canada to a Korean father and an Italian mother. She was the older of two children, she had a younger brother who was 2 years younger. When she was 5, her parents decided to enrol her and her brother into music lessons. Allison chose to learn to play guitar and sing. She quickly excelled in her craft, and wanted to pursue a singing career. Her parents weren’t all that thrilled at first, but decided to help her fulfill her dreams. She tried out for JYP Entertainment when she was 12, but was rejected. She then tried for S.M. Entertainment at age 13, but was rejected again. At age 15, Minty ended up going to Korea and joining the survival show “Virtue”, where she came in 6th place and made the final project group “Our Week”. The group promoted for 8 months before disbanding. Afterwards, Minty enrolled at School of Performing Arts Seoul, majoring in Applied Music, still confident that she would be cast by a company. She met Mark Lee of NCT there, and they became fast friends. Finally, she was cast into Odd Entertainment at age 18 after auditioning by singing and playing guitar. Now, she is determined to make sure all the hard work pays off!

PERSONALITY >> Allison is as fresh as her stage name (Minty). She is very friendly and bubbly, and always can lighten up the mood. She loves to laugh, and loves when people tell jokes. She is a mixture of youthfulness and maturity, being a deep thinker and often pondering on major world issues, while also enjoying playing with stuffed animals and watching Disney princess movies. Allison does have a bit of an insecure side, and can be a people-pleaser, sometimes barely caring for her own happiness. She sometimes thinks she isn’t as pretty as the other girls, and occasionally doubts her talent, even though she knows she’s a good singer. Allison is someone who will chase her dreams no matter what, and is known for her aegyo.
