Death of Qilin

When the fighting broke out, the Demon was quick to rush to the action; the constant swarms of oversized, Occultic insects were bound to devour and kill everything on their way, commanded through telepathy and Occultic presence alike by the Demon.

Yet, it could already feel the approaching of another magi, someone who'd put a stop to its slaughter.

The Qilin.

"Hhhhhhhhhh-- YOU."

There was certainly immediate recognition done. The Demon was still rather frustrated after their latest bout, the one where the Demon ended up heavily injured by the Qilin- perhaps, for the remainder of its life, too.

The putrid acid was spilling. Venom was claiming every living thing around the Demon, but its attention was directed to Kojima.

"You filthy- scum of Emperor."

"I will- devour- feast- eat you."

"Die!"

Kojima rushes out looking for any beings of nasty nature. Kaor in particular. He spots Murmux once more. He'd have to finish the job on this one. The Qilin shoots energy blasts among the charging forces, downing a couple magi. His mechanical arm equipped with a knife plunges deep into the chest of a non magi. The Qilin Cast's lightning bolt, the man on the end of his knife evaporates, his life soaring away from his corpse.

The Qilin charges forward, unblinking, his cigarette wavering as he charges for Murmux. He doesn't even say anything, the demon should know what was up.

On Sight.

Several shots bang out of the Holy Glock the Qilin toted with him.

He was here to protect his people.

Kojima has sustained an injury in battle...

Kojima has rolled 2 or under: they may be captured!

The battle between the Demon and Kojima was rather fierce one.

But this time around, the Demon had come prepared; not only it was the putrid venom that swarmed the Qilin, it was also constant attacks of the swarm that had been overwhelming Kojima- at each turn, the insectoid was quick to fly up and utilize its wind magic as well, shredding the Qilin at every turn possible.

With the constant barrage of venom, he was left weakened significantly, no longer able to fight back.

It is when the Demon seized its opportunity, to send the telepathic message to its swarm- while it was victorious, it used such glorious moment to feed the Qilin to them, thus empower them in its constant growth.

'FEAST. DEVOUR. KILL.'

With that, Murmux was quick to leap upon Kojima, stabbing the proboscis right into his chest and beginning to drain all of the mana from him- it didn't help that the swarm of insectoid were all over Kojima at this point, feeding off his flesh and injecting their venom in smaller doses.

Unless someone would be there to save Kojima, he's as good as dead.

Kojima ran up a little to quickly. He was decimated in an instant. The kaor had grown far stronger than before. The Qilin wasn't getting through any defenses. The lesser summons at his side did their job, the poison in the Qilins good eye rendered him weak, vulnerable, an intense shockwave of wind shook his very core. He flew backwards into a few thorn filled bushes. The Qilin spit up water, other bodily fluids from his stomach.

His eyes went red instantly. He was done for. He tried to muster together what strength he had left, it wasn't much. He raised his gun to shoot at the Kaor, a holy beam, Blocked like it was nothing at all.

He was crushed, his mana sapped from his body as his leylines grey dark. They were being drained beyond recognition. The Qilins eye faded. His eye dulled as his existence was erased. He'd never be able to help out the Emperor now, The Qilin had failed Ikkaku, Tongshiyan, everyone who believed he could do good for their city. The Qilin was gasping as his mana raced out of his very core.

The life was short lived, he had done all he wanted. It was over now.

The Qilin's head thudded back into the ground as his life evaporated.

The Kaor was ruthless in its attacks.

Swarming the poor Qilin with its insects that bit and gnawed all over the body of the magi, it was truly a horrifying sight to see- an overgrown insectoid feasting on the Qilin, alongside with the smaller, but Occultic-influenced bugs that were about fist-sized.

Such horror to be seen on the battlefield...

With chunks of Qilin's body being ripped off, one by one, the Demon was devouring absolutely every single piece of mana that Kojima had, leaving nothing behind. The only thing that was preserved is his head - more like a proof for magi slain, to collect its reward later on.

Raising its jaw atop, covered in blood and guts--

SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH.

The insectoid has picked up Kojima's head after victorious screeching, slinging it around its own waist clothing; now that it had a proper feast, there may be others it could try and feast upon.

But for now, Kojima was slain.
