it unlocks many cool features!
- This Will Work- it has for me, and others. The fix is a little tricky, but it works.
- Make your wireless connection using the Lumia.
- Before the BSOD, open the Network and Sharing Center
- Click on Manage Wireless Network
- Select your Lumia 920 connection
- Click on the Security Tab
- Click on Advanced Settings
- Check the box for “Enable Federal Information Processing (FIPS) compliance for this network.
- Click on OK, OK, etc. Until you are out.
- Reboot ASAP before the BSOD.
- (The key is to get all that done before your BSOD comes back. It may take more than 1 try. ) It works well after you have completed the process- at least until the next Windows update for your phone that may reset the adapter. When that happens, you can just do it again. )
- (You MUST be connected with the Lumia- that Security Tab is DIFFERENT and you CAN’T find the Advanced setting with a different wireless connection)
- I have no idea why it works, but it does.
