i guess i just still don't understand the whole switch to monk tank
what he said last night (paraphrased) was that he's only switching to monk tank because german wanted to switch to monk dps, and you (ryan) didn't trust german enough to be a reliable offtank
but i really really don't get the nonplate, because we've had two plate tanks and did fine
with him being a monk, not only is he just competing for gear with german instead of kyle, he's also competing with you for rings, necks, possible trinket AND we have no one for dps plate
to me, it just seems he should have stayed on his paladin and geared up his prot spec
but whatever, it's pretty much too late now

i told him to play a tank, i didn't specifiy monk
but we did kind of agree that it would suck to have 2 plate tanks
and he was interested in playing monk though not as a tank
the point is, it's a non issue
