  1. [12:13:13] Nostvale!
  2.
  3. After once again going from the boat on Antegria back to Valmasia’s mainland, Thom would be relaxing in the town, looking around for his friends! The.. the ones who he could contact easily that was. N-not the friend that he knew where he was but still wasn't waking up yet. That friend still was causing Thom to worry quite a bit.. A little bit of understatement admittedly.
  4.
  5. Anyways, lounging near the tree he had met Frosty at, Thom grinned, grey eyes looking around for something fun to do or some fun game to play. A bunch of his friends had played games with him recently, and that made him happy! But aside from that he still wanted to make more friends and play more games!
  6.
  7. Thom was game thirsty like that.
  8. (Thom)
  9. [12:17:29] He would see him sitting under a tree. He was almost always constantly observing and looking, he allowed him to learn mostly on his own, but this seemed to be becoming an issue in keeping track of where he was and where he was going, soon he'd have to keep track of him more personally, and less of the passive and silent observation he had been using.
  10.
  11. He sat down under the tree that Thom was sitting under. His helm still obscuring his face, but he would have seen that weapon he carried on his back along with that helmet that he would recognize him, a sigh escaping his lips in an almost exasperated tone. The constant trips from Nost and Wychwood were most definitely taking thier own toll on himself.
  12.
  13. He needed to do one of two things. Bring the boy back to himself in the wych, or entrust his care to another. And he sure as all hell wasn't going to let some other fucker take care of him.
  14. (Malus M. Takashi)
  15. [12:21:45] "Hey dad!" Thom called out happily towards Malus, and as the adult came closer he could likely see what the boy was doing. There were two dice on the ground ahead of him rolled and reading '50'. It appeared that the boy was playing some sort of game by himself, but with what rules?
  16.
  17. "I've been training and stuff! I'm going to be a whole lot stronger! I'm going to be-." Thom suddenly would stand up, taking a little bit of a pose with a grin on his face. "A hero of justice! Uncle said so, so I'm going to be one to make both you and uncle proud! Thats a good goal right!? Will you be proud of me dad?"
  18.
  19. The youth would have asked, grey eyes glancing towards his adopted father.
  20. (Thom)
  21. [12:26:52] He would look at the boy, removing his helmet and laying it at his own side to get a better look at him. "Perhaps you should show me how you have improved." He would turn, and beckon for him to follow.
  22. (Malus M. Takashi)
  23. [12:32:00] His father wanted to spar him again? Oh boy! Thom would have quickly gathered up his dice before racing after his dad, heading outside of the village! Hopefully this wouldn't be like the time with uncle Aizen. Thom nearly had nightmares for a week after that little adventure.
  24.
  25. Once the two hit the prarie Thom grinned, and the cackling and sounds of lighting could be heard around him. He looked around, grabbing a stick off the floor to use as a sword before turning to face his father, a wide grin to be seen on his face. Warm energy began to radiate from him, a red blade gathering in his left hand as blue energy continued to cackle about him.
  26.
  27. "This is going to be so fun dad!"
  28. (Thom)
  29. [12:32:51] He would go out from the city. He would look at the young man. He was growing quickly, a smile under the visage that he wore, but nothing compared to the one that would be coming if he had to be impressed by his abilities. The last time, it was almost embarassing, if he were not a child. But his youth did not mean inexperience, and he was wisened to the distinguishment.
  30.
  31. He would look at him, a rigor and focus to himself, then he would draw the weapon, holding it out to his side as he looked at the boy. He would not hold back. That was not in his nature. Not how he did things.
  32.
  33. The flames would be fanned. Hotter. Hotter. Ever brighter and ever more strong! He would redy himself, as the wind was combed to make his arm into a devilish weapon, a maw and blade of its own of flame and wind. He would charge then, a deafening and muffled war cry as he charged him.
  34.
  35. Fun was not on the agenda.
  36. (Malus M. Takashi)
  37. [12:33:42] Malus M. Takashi assumes the Ifrit stance!
  38. [12:34:33] {combat} Thom has been defeated by Malus M. Takashi! They're unable to continue fighting.
  39. [12:39:40] And as he charged in, he would bash his weapon against the child's. He had no qualm or quarrel about using the fulness of his strength against him. Bashing him around, thrashing his weapon against that of the boy, feeling the static and the electricity run about him.
  40.
  41. He had skill in lighting, that much was certain. He would squint his eyes, before laying a devestating blow on him, hitting him with the flat of his blade down into the ground, "Again damn it! Get up and show me what you have!" His heavy breathing was made clear by the mask that he wore.
  42.
  43. He would learn. He would grow strong. And he would not hold himself from the wrath and the fury he afforded his opponents. This was the boy's first taste of true battle.
  44. (Malus M. Takashi)
  45. [12:43:05] Bleh!
  46.
  47. Thom was basicly going flying as the blade hit him. But then again what would one expect of a six year old? The boy only seemed to have the starting moves of both fire and lightning with the exception of an eletrical burst which flew out every which way. It was at least an improvement from last time he faced Malus where he hadn't even the faintest control of flames.
  48.
  49. "You got it dad!" Thom called out, hauling himself off the ground and gripping the woooden stick harder with his hands. Honestly, it was doing nothing to improve his spellcraft and he avoided his father's blows making it difficult to use the blade. Instead of an eletircal power surrounding him this time it would be some hazy flames, replicating Malus' fighting style.
  50.
  51. The boy however was panting quite a lot. It was clear the fight was already taking a lot out of him.
  52. (Thom)
  53.
  54. [12:43:56] Malus M. Takashi assumes the Ifrit stance!
  55. [12:43:56] {combat} Thom has been defeated by Malus M. Takashi! They're unable to continue fighting.
  56.
  57. Notice: Dice rolled here to determine if Malus calmed down or not; Rolled a six.
  58.
  59. [12:50:46] He would continue fighting. Using the fires he used this time. If he weren’t in battle he would be glad. Proud in his son for mastering the element that he himself preferred, but now he was consumed eaten away by the crow. The battle fury. The blood lust.
  60.
  61. He was wholly within its throughs. He couldn’t escape. Every word that was given he couldn’t hear anymore. He only yelled when he attacked, and fought with the full tenacity that would be expected of a mad man, “You call that strength? Again!” He would pick the boy up by his shirt and toss him to his feet, before beating him down again. Beating him into the ground.
  62.
  63. Over and over he continued. He could say that he was only interested in teaching through pain, but that was a cover. A necessity. In battle he couldn’t control himself. Once he threw himself into the fray. Once he threw himself into battle, he had to carry through. He had to fight. He had to slaughter the opponent that stood before him.
  64.
  65. He would raise his weapon, but as his eyes met his son’s, he would hold back, (Rolled a 6), he would take the weapon he had and place it back onto himself. He would sit there, thinking then. The first thing to ever stop his mad and fervorous rage besides his brother.
  66.
  67. And even his brother bore the scars.
  68. (Malus M. Takashi)
  69. [12:56:44] Thom grunted as he went flying, feeling the blade collide with him several times. At least now he was able to hold himself a bit better, taking the hits and trying to roll with them while in their oringal sparring match he had taken two hits and fallen down. But for all the attempts at trying to hit his dad, and for remembering the chink in his armor, Thom was at least able to do a few bits of damage.
  70.
  71. But that would be all. Malus' blade was much stronger then the six year old's magic though at one point Thom decided to try something else. He recalled the power that Aizen had managed to release from the day that the two had tied, and attempted to call it up. The sheer focus on a single goal to destoy his uncle's sword. But he couldn't call up that power. Thinking of how Acta had begged him not to, and how in the end he was unable to save his friend, only knocking himself and his uncle unconsious..
  72.
  73. The boy seemed a little shooken up all of a sudden and instead of raising his arms to block he only felt Malus' blade strike him down, delivering a pain that forced him to his knees. The boy grunted, seeing Malus raise his blade and Thom shook his head.
  74.
  75. "Dad.. Please stop.."
  76.
  77. Thom asked, making eye contact. And it would be then that Malus did so, sheathing the blade.
  78. (Thom)
  79. [13:01:00] He wouldn’t respond. He shook. He was definitely taken aback with his own actions. He wasn’t one to care. He wasn’t one to feel a thing. In fact, he was just the opposite, he was the kind who remorselessly attacked. Fought without surrender. Every fight he remembered, he had been agressing. He always pushed. He always sought to show every opponent he came across the taste of his steel.
  80.
  81. The taste of his blade. With one sole exception, his own brother. But ever since he had been taken away from him, his already burning and terrible hating wrath and anger spiralled out of control. Further and further without recourse. He was his kind of off switch… and without him, without his brother, he seemed to surrender more and more to that rage.
  82.
  83. But he needed it. He knew it was what gave him his strength, what gave him the resolve to push through pain and agony and slaughter those disgusting things that came at him and his family. What gave him the lack of empathy to obliterate those that stood in his path.
  84.
  85. But Thom wasn’t cannon fodder like the rest he could butcher. He needed to find others to release that bleak emotion on. Thom had suffered enough already. “I’m sorry.” He was obviously in thought.
  86.
  87. But the helmet obscured his every thought and expression.
  88. (Malus M. Takashi)
  89. [13:06:08] 'Training alone will make you weak'
  90.
  91. The thought darted through Thom's head, recalling Kenshi's words. It appeared that the uncle had been quite right. While Thom was certainly stronger then before he also still remained weak. To be beaten by his father so quickly, barely even being able to do damage to the man.. It certainly showed him just how far he had to go. A power iwth which his current slowly training and his.. inablity to use the dark magic he couldn't reach at all.
  92.
  93. Which was a bit of a shame. During the fight with Aizen the boy had actually been rather powerful, strong enough to take down his uncle if only for a moment.. But such power was currently lost under a tumble of emotions within. Maybe if one day he could control it, and knew how to use it right he might be able to show his father. But now was not that day.
  94.
  95. Instead today Thom only saw that he was weak. And as his grey eyes stared up at his father, the boy only could do his best not to cry.
  96.
  97. "Sorry i'm not stronger dad.."
  98. (Thom)
  99. [13:08:41] He would look at him, removing the helmet he wore on his head, “Do not be sad of it. Just work to improve it.” He would take to his feet before grabbing the boy and placing him on his shoulder, “I may have gotten a little… carried away.” That was saying it and stating very mildly.
  100.
  101. He had an issue. Rage and Fury were given to him. While he never got angry at Gotovina, he didn’t want her anywhere close when he did explode. He tended to become violent to almost everyone in the area when that occurred. He didn’t want her to see it.
  102.
  103. But it was part of who he was. And she loved him, didn’t she? Regardless, he could show nothing of this to her. There was no risk to be taken.
  104. (Malus M. Takashi)
