When Priest, a young but experienced coke dealer in Atlanta, realizes it's time to get out of the trade, he risks it all on one last score. Double-crossing his mentor, Priest heads to Mexico to connect with the cartel that serves as the source of his product.
With retirement on his mind, a successful young drug dealer sets up one last big job, while dealing with trigger-happy colleagues and the police.
I never saw the original, but I really enjoyed this movie! I thought it had suspense, drama, action... it definitely held my attention throughout the entire movie. The one young dude from Snow Patrol over acted in my opinion but that would be the only negative thing I can say.
Not sure why so many negative comments! It stayed true to its name and a great twist to the original movie! It's about a black drug kingpin all things hip hop is expected (duhhhhh)...The main characters executed their roles very well...great movie for the culture. Apart from the corny "snow patrol" guys. This was a great film
It lacks a moral center, and at times seems oblivious to the laughable things that are happening on screen. It’s also about 20 minutes too long. And yet SuperFly is entertaining, period. The dialogue is fast and fun, and the sense of fashion is so pervasive that it occasionally distracts from the movie.
