Showing Thom her Magic/Teaching

[08:13:00] Oddity. The occultic man seemed not to understand anything Thom was saying. And yet he summoned a sphere of darkness, not pointed towards anyone. The red haired man would simply shrug curviing his palms upwards and creating two spheres of energy. The first would be occultic black flames, and the second would be a sphere of red lighting, cackling away. "Is this what you desire to see?" The king inquired before looking to Vivica.

"Go on then Vivica. Show me that which you can do." Thom stated, paying the girl a bit of attention before hearing a voice call out asking for jesters. A slight raise of his brow as he looked over to the form of Vanessa.

"Hm.. I think that they wouldn't stay around for long. After a bad performance the people may see fit to.. eliminate them." Thom chuckled.

[08:24:57] Shade's occultic orb seemed to fade away as Thom would form two different looking dark orbs in his palms. He now stepped closer so he was only few feet away, looking at these a bit closely. Opening his palm and summoning forth a dark orb again, he seemed to put it side by side with Thom's orbs. He began to differentiate between the orbs and only slightly touched the hellstorm orb. This had a pretty nasty reaction with him, sending a painful jolt through his body as it aprked a bit and sent him sliding on his behind. Shade grunted as he accidentally realeased his dark orb behind him when he fell. His dark orb rammed into a tree and exploding, leaving a nice chunk taken out of the tree, but it didn't seem to hurt anything else. Shade knew he was the one who touched the orb at his own risk, so he seemed to calmly get up and brush himself off, although showing no hostility toward Thom even though he was blown back by his power.

Shade's chains also seemed to fade for a moment, but reappeared as soon as he got up, perhaps showing that his aura was subconscious. He didn't even really have to focus or put forth any effort to materialize his dark aura anyway. He seemed to reapproach Thom now, this time being more careful as he stood a few feet away. He still looked at Thom's orbs, just looking at his aura if he got rid of these, finding it quite difficult to piece the logics to this together without being able to communicate.

[08:33:29] Vivica watched as Thom summoned occultic spells of hellstorm and shadowflame to show off his prowess to the man before him. Desire, there was that word again. A fair reminder that she had things she desired, like impressive Thom!

"Oh, ok, Thom!" She grew excited, the emotion tied well to lightning magic! By now Vivica was fine at summoning a ball of fire, but to summon both magics similaneously may prove to be a challenge.

She gazed towards Thom's magic showing off and decided to mimic him, except her magic wasn't of darkness like his had been!

Hovering above her first hand would be a bright flame, much bigger that she focused to summon. Her second hand raised and her fingers flexed. Close, open, close, open. Several times she repeated nervously.

A zap of lightning flowed over her visage and to her palm, forming into a sphere of lightning magic like Thom had done. In one hand held a bright flame and the other a much smaller sphere of lightning magic that popped and cracked with sparks of electricity over it.

"I can do that, Thom!" Luckily this time she was successful! Meanwhile the man before them who didn't speak but growled was comparing him and Thom's magic. A woman called out for jesters, but Vivica didn't pay much attention to that the moment Shade suddenly fell back and his magic shot back into the tree that Wyatt slashed earlier with mornegale magic.

"Wha-!" That was suddenly and odd.. Vivica glared at the man curiously, wondering if he was fine. She observed him stand back to his feet and stand away from Thom.

"Huh.. well.. ya, I did it! Also.. um.. I wanted to learn more magic! Water and wind!"

[08:38:36] Well, that was a bit unexpected. Thom had generated the dark spheres of magic and the occultic man decided to touch one. Very quickly they would learn that was a bad idea based on they way that they practically flew away from Thom's power and hit a tree with a bolt of darkness. "Yeah, don't touch those."

Thom commented as they came back to reveal his scarred face. Cruel words and thoughts circled in the king's head but none of them would be voiced, merely letting the man observe the energy as Thom glanced over to Vivica.

"Good job Vivica. You managed to do both so your magic must be growing," the king would praise. "And if you attempt to learn wind and water then you will eventually. Just keep working on it."

[08:50:33] Shade put his hood back up as he noticed his face was given a bit of an odd stare from the king. His face was now back to a pitch black shade with his glowing eyes only showing through this again, obviously knowing his face was likely not a pretty sight to stare at. As he was told not to touch the orbs, he didn't understand what the king said, but kind of learned this the hard way by now that he should not touch the orbs. He still now circled around the king, more examining his being, seeing what made his magic so unique, as he obviously had some types of dark magic that involved giving it the properties of other elements. Darkness was the only element that Shade actually knew though, he didn't know exactly just how to conjure up other basic elements just yet. He looked upon the small girl now, seeing that she seemed to conjur up a more basic looking form of Thom's magic.

Shade seemed to ponder around the two, walking in steady paced circles around them to observe their auras, and perhaps similarities he could find to conjure such magics. His chains now seemed to grow long again as he pondered around, now stopping in front of Thom while he was pondering, perhaps processing the conversation that they were having. HE still didn't understand it though, language was not something one just eaily picked up on and started speaking fluently. He repeated a single word that seemed to get brought up at least a few times in the conversation, and it sounded unique and memorable to him as he sounded it out loud.

[08:59:05] Thom had a short comment towards the newly arrived man's mistake. Shortly after she received praise from Thom. It was a warm feeling that surged through her body from the praise.

Emotions sturred up. Excitement, happiness, and proud of herself that she was growing and successful. Vivica wanted more praise, however. The child had to do more to prove her usefulness to him!

Though she didn't comment, her magic dispelled and she grabbed ahold of his hand if allowed. Thom was a father-like figure to the little girl and she was sure he was aware of that by her actions.

Shade's observing manner caused Vivica to squint and idly watch him walk in circles around them before. More jolts of lightning magic shifted over her form quickly. She stepped closer to Thom, a bit afraid of the man.

"Uh... what are you doing?" She'd ask him after he attempted to speak.

[09:02:30] "Yes, magic." The red haired man said as the man would begin to walk in circles around him. It was odd but once more the red haired man didn't seem to be intimiated at all. Instead he glanced over to his side, looking towards Vivica as the child grabbed for his hand. Thom didn't pull away, but nor did he really hold it, an apathy about him as he heard a whisper from Nashandra.

"Hm.. Vivica, try to teach our guest how to speak more. I need to speak with Nashandra for a bit." Thom would state, turning around a bit and heading towards the white tower.

[09:22:08] As the little girl spoke to him, Shade seemed to stare at her with unmoving hues for a second as it just seemed the sound of ver vocal cords grabbed his attention easily. Surviving in the quiet woods with the occasional yokai attack was what he was used to, so this could probably be expected if one knew his upbringing. His attention was quickly turned back to Thom as the elder of him seemed to confirm and repeat his word, Shade now knowing he could start to piece this language together. He perked back up again as Thom seemed to grab the attention of the small girl, saying a word that seemed more unique than the words they usually spoke. Smiling confidently Shade was sure this was a way to adress the young girl as he didn't quite understand the rest, Shade now crouched down closer to the girl's height, his dark chains rattling with probably a menacing feeling for the small child. He now pointed a finger with a rather beastly looking nail and had it inches away from her chest.

"Vivian?" He curiously now stared into the girl's hues with the unmoving dark glow in his eyes, although tilting his head a bit as he now retracted his finger and awaited a response.

[09:31:31] Thom didn't seem to mind her grabbing his hand nor did he appear to care. A woman's voice caught her attention briefly. This woman had been Nashandra, someone she'd seem with Thom several other times.

A wide curve of her lips towards the woman just then as Vivica spoke up. "Oh.. Nasandra! Hi! Uh.. I'm Vivica!" The tiny child laughed excitedly to meet yet another new face. "You're very pretty and oh, ok, Thom!" She'd say until her attention was captured by Shade, yet her ears remained open towards the woman should she say anything to her!

Thom began to move away, which was disappointing. A quick side glance given to him before facing Shade once again, but now the man was much closer and she felt uncomfortable. The girl's eyes glared down to his finger just inches from her chest.

His occultic ambiance and appearance gave her chills as she took a step back. "Uhh.." Nervousness in her tone. Thom wanted her to teach this stranger the Valmasian language when she barely understood it herself.

In fact if it wasn't for Cucco's feathers to increase her need for his praise, approval, and her desirable wishes to be fulfilled, she may have denied his request, but new experiences were great!

"Uh.. O-Ok.." A tilt of her head given. "Not Vivian. Vivi-CA!" She'd speak up the last part for him to understand better. "I am Vivica."

[09:47:44] Shade watched as the girl seemed to back away a bit, tilting his head a little further as she repeated what he said before, but seemed to say something else after, it sounded a little similar, perhaps it was a correction? "Vivica." he corrected himself as well, being sure now that he was getting this down at least a bit. He watched a bit of an idle conversation between the small girl and the older one for a moment as the king and the older girl seemed to take their leave for a moment. Shade kind of wanted Thom around so he could figure out his magic more and perhaps try to replicate it. Shade growled a little as the man left, but dealt with it for now as he tunred his head back to the girl, finally standing up from his crouch as he seemed to point at the core of her being.

"Magic?" He pointed all around her, trying to get an exact point on her aura, but it was obviously too fast for him to point it out easily. Shade now intensified his aura to show the little girl his magic as well, his dark chains beginning to get loger and swirl about his being whilst they were rising in the air. "Magic." He stated once again as his chains flowed about the two.

[09:57:07] Vivica watched with a smile as Thom and Nashandra headed inside the castle, but the second they had disappeared within, her smile turned to a frown. At least now this allowed her to do more in the city with him absence.

The man before repeated her and again her smile reappared and she shook her head. "Ya, you got it!"

An awkward silence about them for a moment. His growl upon their leave earlier was noted, but for whatever reason it had been, she didn't like being out here with this stranger.

"Magic." She looks down at her dress and body. Sparks again shift with a rapid pace over her visage and she laughs. "Light-ning. Magic." Again more sparks appeared to form and disappear after shifting.

"Light. Ning. Magic. It SHOCKS people." Her voice rose and fluctuated to make obvious words for defining the magic more notable for the man to repeat and sound out.

Darkness magic was not her specialty, but the chains around them made her feel quite uncomfortable, no bother for now unless something more would happen them. She'd never fought before nor did she plan to should the man grow hostile.

"I know FIRE and LIGHT. NING. Magic!" Her hands extend again. A simple flame hovers above one and jolts of electricity that travel down her arm form a ball of light with sparks in the other. The hand with fire magic bounces. "Fire." She moved it aside to present the other hand.

The hand with lightning magic bounces. "Light. ning."

[10:11:37] Shade tilted his head curiously once again once the small girl's smile turned to a frown. He thought perhaps that she was unhappy that he was leaving too, but probably for a different reason. As she seemed to be confirming that he was correct in exactly what magic meant, she also seemed to go into more advanced terms, showing her magic to him once again and saying another term before magic and a couple after. Shade didn't actually know what these words meant, but he seemed to have the idea. "Light... ning... Magic, Shocks." He pieced it together a little, remembering that Thom, the king had similar lightning magic, but it was a lot nastier seeming, and actually closer to Shade's magic than the one he was currently being shown. He guessed it had a somewhat similar effect though, perhaps Shock meaning what Thom's lightning did to him. Through a bit of a hard lesson, he learned about it quickly

As she showed him yet another magic as well, he seemed to be quite intrigued as this magic seemed to have similar properties to Thom's magic as well. "Fire, 'nd lightning." He pointed at each of the orbs after she stated their names of magic. His voice was growly, and a bit animalian, his chains beginning to ratle around them in a quick manner. This was likely from his excitement of learning these things, but it may have been a bit startling.

[10:22:43] Vivica's head shook to confirm each term he spoke correctly. This man was perhaps a quick learner like Vivica was! His chains rattling startled her and she jumped. 'Ok.. I'm fine.. I'm fine..' She thought to herself. Thom was just inside just incase -- No, she had to handle this herself.

With a deep breath in and released, Vivica held a serene feeling within herself.

Again she brought the hand with fire hovering above towards him with a smile. "Fire! It BURNS and it HURTS. Fire burns. Watch. See." Her right hand moved away and with her left hand turning outward away from them, the ball of fire shot towards the ground and essentially left burn marks on the brick.

"Fire. Burn. Angry" She giggled, but after she attempted to make an angered expression. "ANGER is an EMOTION with fire. Fire is WARM." Teaching was quite fun! Now then her left hand was lowered and the right again presented.

"Lightning. SHOCK! ZAP!" More clues for what the magic did that she was aware of. "Exciting!" Her hand shifted to turn forward and a bolt of lightning magic zapped outward, the first she had done that!

Vivica's eyes widened herself, surprised she managed that. Well then.

"Lightning, Zap, Shock! Exciting!" She had shown excitement while more jolts of power sparked about her form more.

[10:37:13] Shade chuckled a little as the small child seemed startled by his chains rattling, showing his beastly looking teeth once again for a moment, although he figured this kind of startled the little girl the last few times he did it. His smile quickly faded and all that could be seen again was his gaze of dark mana under the darkness of his hood. "Fire, burns." He seems to rather casually repeat with his growly voice as he shot out the fire and he felt a little hot just as Vivica charged it up. He also looked upon her second demonstration of lightning, repeating only "Zap." As he had already said the two words before it, and didn't see much point in saying them again, lest he was adressing the magic. As the little one talked more about lightning, he smiled with his beastly teeth showing as he couldn't help it, he wanted to show her some stuff he could do, which he actually didn't know what his was called yet.

Oh well, he was sure he could figure it out eventually. Shade turned around to where he was facing the tree that he had already damaged, putting one hand forward as a dark orb concentrated in his hand, seeming much more focused than the normal dark orb he had concentrated earlier. Soon, a rather large beam shot out of his hand, nearly obliterating the tree, leaving it a black ash barely standing like what it once was. As soon as the beam hit the tree, it let off a decent "BOOOM!" as Shade now faced back toward the girl, his chains beginning to rattle excitedly again. "Magic!" He exclaimed rather enthusiasticly.

[10:42:20] Shade looked back at the small girl to see that she was probably a bit startled with him, thinking this even if she didn't show it that much. He didn't want to scare her with his presence much longer, and really thinking about it, he realized she seemed a bit startled most of the time he had been there. There had to be a connection to that, so he began walking southward in the town, not really knowing how to say goodbye, so he waved behind him as he walked away pretty suddenly. He knew that these Magics were called lightning and fire, shock and burn, so that was enough for him for now as he would likely be back later.

[10:47:28] Several words that she had spoken were repeated. The man showed off a beastial like, toothy grin, but nothing about it had startled her. Afterall, it was a smile!

Each grin made her smile even more. The prowess displayed by the man as she glared towards the blackened tree he nearly obliterated wasn't getting a smile anymore!

Immediately his magic charged and blasted the tree. Vivica's eyes widened and her jaw dropped to see such power. Compared to her own magical abilities, his were far more advanced.

"Magic.. yes.." She spoke in a flat, nervous tone. The man suddenly began to walk away with a wave behind him towards her. She waved back hesitantly, but felt rather relieved he was leaving.

His chains, prowess, appearance, they were frightening indeed, but if helping the stranger meant he'd remain impressed with her magic and such, she'd keep it up.
