I come from the slums deep within iron keep, abandoned by my mother at an early age only to be raised by the kindness of strangers; A miner and his wife took me in for some time, but they were old and soon became feable so I became a burden to them. I was brought to the smithy of a wrenched dwarf who lost his son in a war and drunk himself to sleep each night, I was beaten often and was made to work the bellows as he forged and repaired mining equipment for the family's that controlled the mines below.

It was a rough life, Sleeping in the hot smithy to avoid (dwarven smithy guy)'s drunken rage, and fighting with the street urchins for scraps from the local shops I soon became involved with the local gang that ran the black market trade within the belly of the dwarven capital, as a street wise and exceptional strong dwarf I soon gained the attention of the leader and was promoted as an enforcer, working for my food and shelter, I ensured all dues were paid, and would remind those who forgot their debts...

I was feared by the shopkeepers within the city i was well known to many as the enforcer of the shadow clan, thought the guards were well paid and our influence within the slums to wide to touch me. I knew what i was doing to these people was not right, but I was sleeping well and drinking ale with my compatriots every night, life was good for a time. I was cast out of the city after another enforcer took a miners life and framed me, as he was jellous of my status within the gang. I was forced to flee to seek refuge in the closest city i could find.

  11. I found myself pilfering from the trough of the stables of this very academy, when the headmaster offered me a place to sleep and a hot meal in exchange for working in the kitchens. Soon I He offered me a place in the academy in exchange for my labor and I owe him my life Learning about nature and how to survive in a world above ground.
