  1. Walking away from the arena, Nochte was annoyed, his ego created from pointless wins begin hit after two losses agains't someone, even going with all he had... It was simply a shame for him.
  2.
  3. Those who would look at his face could see that he wasn't happy or anything, he was simply annoyed, he needed to seek even greater knowledge, needing to prepare for the war, at this moment he felt that he wasn't ready. But he had time.
  4.
  5. Upon exiting the arena he found Atla, he walked towards him, strange seeing him on Atl grounds, seeing that he was with his back turned, he approached him calmly, without making a sound.
  6.
  7. Putting his hand on his right shoulder.
  8.
  9. "Hello... Atla. What are you doing in this place...?"
  10. (Nochte)
  11. Atla had gone to Atl to find Ajax, his magic circuit was not yet 100% accustomed to the rune on his shoulder but it was only a matter of time until everything was perfect, he then needed to know the names of those who would join the expedition.
  12.
  13. Arriving in Atl he finds Ajax, but he seemed busy and did not want to interrupt him, then he feels a hand on his shoulder and a voice he knew well.
  14.
  15. "You again?"
  16.
  17. Atla said then he would turn and take Nochte's hand from his shoulder.
  18.
  19. "I have some acquaintances in Atl, I just came to deal with personal matters."
  20. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  21. Personal matters... he looked Atla in the eyes, Nochte was tired, he wasn't trying now to provoke or anything, in reality he was in search for aid from a certain third tier runescriber.
  22.
  23. "People always have some personal matters, so tell me what are you in need?"
  24.
  25. Without really noticind that what he was doing was pretty rude from him, he taked his eyes from him for a moment, looking around.
  26.
  27. "Eh, just saying, but I need your.........."
  28.
  29. For a brief pause, he looked back at Atla.
  30.
  31. "Aid..."
  32. (Nochte)
  33. The village was a dangerous place. Their practices were vicious. It was a society based totally on strength. The strong fought, while the weak were turned to slaves. Even now, the slaves ambled about the streets, doing the bidding of those that had claimed them in single combat. Not many ventured in, for fear that they would never make it out again.
  34.
  35. She stood to the side, watching her comrade as he spoke to the stranger. Most people were unknown to her, but she could draw some hints from the contest. For now, she was till, like a statue shrouded in darkness. She stood the quiet visage, waiting to see if she needed to help her comrade.
  36.
  37. Her eyes were transfixed on the one in white. The individual was strange, and it seemed as if Nochte loved him very little. Her suspicion grew substantially, but so far it was none of her business. If he noticed, he could almost feel her gazing at him, as she made no effort to conceal the glare.
  38. (Zyanya)
  39. He had noticed that Nochte looked a little different than usual, but he still remained serious.
  40.
  41. "It's personal, I said, there's no reason to tell you."
  42.
  43. Atla then listened to Nochte's words, the way he spoke was certainly different, after hearing him Atla's reaction could not be otherwise, he wondered for a moment if that was a catch, but after nochte's behavior he realized that it was not, that made him burst into laughter.
  44.
  45. "Hahaha, you asking me for help?"
  46.
  47. Nochte had been negative with the Atla previously, had denied help a few times and always provoked him, if it was anyone else would certainly refuse and hate Nochte, but Atla's personality and education would not allow it, he was a Gentleman, he should help even the worst of Gehenna's companions.
  48.
  49. His face then turned serious again.
  50.
  51. "So, what do you need?"
  52. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  53. He had noticed that Nochte looked a little different than usual, but he still remained serious.
  54.
  55. "It's personal, I said, there's no reason to tell you."
  56.
  57. Atla then listened to Nochte's words, the way he spoke was certainly different, after hearing him Atla's reaction could not be otherwise, he wondered for a moment if that was a catch, but after nochte's behavior he realized that it was not, that made him burst into laughter.
  58.
  59. "Hahaha, you asking me for help?"
  60.
  61. Nochte had been negative with the Atla previously, had denied help a few times and always provoked him, if it was anyone else would certainly refuse and hate Nochte, but Atla's personality and education would not allow it, he was a Gentleman, he should help even the worst of Gehenna's companions.
  62.
  63. His face then turned serious again.
  64.
  65. "So, what do you need?"
  66. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  67. Without paying much attention to his surroundings, he just continued to feel ashamed for asking for... aid from someone he was such a dick with.
  68.
  69. Seeing Atla laughing was plain... annoying, but he still needed him, he would let it pass, there was not really a need to just be aggressive.
  70.
  71. "Laughing like the retar-"
  72.
  73. Stopping himself from continuing, he just swallowed it, just staying cool with the situation. Crossing his arms he just continued to look at him, he was serious.
  74.
  75. "You know, I need you help as a runescribe, maybe you have something to help on a meditatoin, or atleast aid me on it..."
  76.
  77. It was annoying asking for him for her, as he stopped talking he looked away from him, looking to his left, seeing Zyanya.
  78.
  79. "Hey..."
  80. (Nochte)
  81. Craftsmen were rare. The trades were not popular among their warrior people. Most of those that worked the forge and wrote runes were foreigners that had been captured long ago. The strange, white-clad man had suddenly become someone that useful. She studied him more closely, looking him up and down. She knew the power of runes, and for that reason she was wiling to forgive a lot of things.
  82.
  83. "How good?" she asked, tilting her head to one side. She understood that some were not as good as the others; the azure runes that smoldered on her staff were the work of a true master, someone that had dedicated a large part of their life to the trade.
  84.
  85. "If good enough, might need," she added, but she didn't move. Her comrade had found him first, and she refrained from stepping on toes. As much as she needed their help, her wants were not more important than those of her fellow soldier. "Will find later, most like, would like to watch work, though. To see."
  86. (Zyanya)
  87. For some moments Atla was astonished that he had not seen the hooded woman nearby, she was certainly strange in appearance, his eagle eyes tried to study her but there was not much to notice.
  88.
  89. He then turned his attention to Nochte, placing a hand on his own chin.
  90.
  91. "Well, my skills are only Tier 3, I'm not a master yet, but I can certainly help you in meditation."
  92.
  93. Atla still did not know who the woman was but she did not seem to be a problem.
  94.
  95. "Tell me exactly what you need."
  96. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  97. Crossing his arms he moved a little to the back, giving space some space to Atla.
  98.
  99. "Sure, sure..."
  100.
  101. Still not feeling good on getting help from him, he turned to Zyanya, pointing at her.
  102.
  103. "Well, do what she need first.. I have alot of free time now..."
  104.
  105. A small tentative to show some respect for her, giving his spot with the craftsman to her.
  106. (Nochte)
  107. The gesture was odd to her. Charity was offensive, as was weakness. She was slow to accept it, but she offered a knowing nod to her comrade as she stepped forward. She removed her hood, and offered it to the strange man. It was a simple cloth thing, but it was something that she wore, always, until now.
  108.
  109. "Can write runes on?"
  110.
  111. Beneath the hood, her hair was silver, and her eyes matched her hair. It was an odd color. Like molten metal, it glimmered beneath the light of the torches. The light ran through it like the sun on the surface of the water. There was nothing wrong with her face, but she simply preferred the darkness of the hood.
  112.
  113. "Would appreciate, if could, need be strong for war."
  114.
  115. After that, she waited patiently, keen on watching him work. It was always interesting to her to see how the craftsmen plied their trades. It was foreign to her, and she understood little of it. When she watched them, it felt as if someone was speaking to her in a foreign language.
  116. (Zyanya)
  117. Malachai says, "Hello... also.. zyanya why is your hood off?..."
  118. Nochte says, "Hello."
  119. Stares at the one next to him and in the front seeming a rather bit unsure did they force her hood off or something seeming to feel a bit uneasy now with them.
  120. (Malachai)
  121. Zyanya slowly turns her eyes to the smith. Without her hood, her hair is silver, and are her eyes, but besides that her face is normal.
  122. (Zyanya)
  123. Zyanya says, "Being enchanted."
  124. The appearance of Zyanya somehow reminded him of Solem, perhaps it is only imagination, Atla then realized that the woman seemed to be somebody known to Nochte and that he respected.
  125.
  126. He did not mind doing that, it was a good time, he would test his new mana regulation for the first time, he removed his white cape, revealing his arms and shoulders, on his right shoulder it was clearly possible to notice runes that at the time they were black because they were not in use.
  127.
  128. Atla then took the hood and held it tight in one hand, with the other he focused mana on his index finger and began to draw runes by the hood, after writing the runes he closed his eyes and concentrated, that would not be a common method of runewriting, he would use his new advanced mana manipulation to do that.
  129.
  130. Suddenly the runes on his right shoulder began to glow in a turquoise hue, from the runes something began to form, Atla's own mana began to condense more and more, taking a crude form, a small white wing made of pure mana began emanating from the back of his right shoulder, the mana of this little wing began to transfer to the runes in the hood, over Atla's arm. This activated the runes, making them shine, the enchantment was done, the hood was now more resilient and could last longer.
  131.
  132. The wing then disappeared and the runes on his shoulder turned black again, he replaced his white cape and returned the hood to Zyanya.
  133.
  134. "It's done."
  135. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  136. Watching as she removed the hood, he just stayed quietly, but he was just fixated without looking at any other place at the moment, just appreciating what he was able to see.
  137.
  138. Scratching his chin while still looking at her, he turned back to Atla, taking a look on his work, he was really a runescriber anyway, almost a thief in his view cause of his prices…
  139.
  140. Watching as he enchanted the hood, he just crossed his arms, thinking about how much he would ask for it, but by his surprise…
  141.
  142. “You doing it for free…?”
  143. (Nochte)
  144. The process was long and tedious to her, because she did not comprehend the intricate inner workings of the trade. She was beginning to grow bored as she watched him, but she remained still. Her posture was like that of a statue. She never moved, stumbled, or even blinked. She felt exposed without her hood, but it was a necessary evil.
  145.
  146. After it was down, she lifted the now enchanted hood into her hands. The cloth was now riddled with some old, forgotten language, but the words still had power. The runes were set alight by the circuits in her hands. She turned it over and over again, examining it. It was beautiful, but she said nothing of that sort.
  147.
  148. "Very good work," she said. "Am glad to have found another capable crafter. Not many of kind around here. Most are warriors, because fighting is most important." She paused, placing the hood over her head. "Realizing that this is important, too."
  149.
  150. Now back beneath her hood, she felt comfortable. Her expression was concealed once more. She leaned against the outside of the temple, content on being an audience member once more.
  151. (Zyanya)
  152. Zyanya says, "Hmm... Can feel power from it. Is good. Not same anymore... Wonder if can do all clothes, but won't waste time. For now, is good, more than needed."
  153. Malachai says, "Hmmm.. sorry i was a bit off minded again.."
  154. He put his hand behind his head as it was a little embarrassing with Zyanya's praise.
  155.
  156. "This is my job, I support those who are on the front lines."
  157.
  158. Atla turned to Nochte for a moment.
  159.
  160. "With a little common sense it is possible to conquer great heights."
  161.
  162. His attention then returned to Zyanya again.
  163.
  164. "If you want all the clothes it will cost you a price, after all enchantment cost of my own energy and stamina."
  165. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  166. Malachai smiled at the three as he yawned a bit showing his sharp pointy teeth as he looks at zyanya's hood seeming he is suprised he saw her face.
  167. (Malachai)
  168. Moving again closer to Atla, he was curious when this one got common sense..
  169.
  170. "Hm? You're talking about common sense? When did you learned to have common sense?"
  171.
  172. Scratching his head with his right arm, he don't pay really attention to the ones near at this moment.
  173.
  174. "Anyway... What would be the price for all the clothes?"
  175. (Nochte)
  176. Coin was not something that she possessed. Currency was something she viewed as evil. Here, on the brink of war, it only seemed right that the tribes worked together to ensure the highest chance of victory; however, not many saw it that way. She had much to say on the matter, but she bit her tongue. After all, the man had been decent to her.
  177.
  178. "Hmm, will keep in mind," she said, turning to the exit. She was growing tired of the crowd. Talking was exhausting to her. She had trouble being articulate, and now she had talked too much. With a nod, she began to walk away, pushing through whoever was in her way. It was time to meditate; she needed to rest before the battle.
  179.
  180. Slowly, she walked, the sound of her boots clicking against the cobblestone. Even she wasn't sure where she was going. She was intent on being somewhere that people were not, and that was all that she needed; however, she had a general feeling of bliss inside her heart. Everything was working out well for her, and soon she would be able to bring honor to her tribe.
  181. (Zyanya)
  182. Atla did not know very well how to react to the man nearby who had arrived, he was just watching the situation and seemed to be friends with Zyanya too, he just relented and continued to talk to Nochte.
  183.
  184. "Well, I do not think you came here to enchant your equipment, right?"
  185.
  186. A small smile appeared on Atla's face, he knew Nochte would complain about his prices anyway, so he just did not want to answer the question.
  187. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  188. Malachai says, "I have not... and are you atl?.."
  189. Nochte says, "I'm Atl, but... Atla no."
  190. Nochte says, "And no Atla, I don't come here only to get enchantments. But for now it can wait."
  191. Turnig his back to Atla, he moved in the direction of Malachai.
  192.
  193. "Is everything okay Malachai? Heard you were in trouble sometime ago after a spar."
  194. (Nochte)
  195. Malachai says, "Its solved... and don't worry about it..."
  196. Nochte says, "I see... good to know."
  197. Nochte asks, "Did you see Saida?"
  198. Atla-Cuauhtli asks, "Uhm, I'm Atla-Cuahtli, i'm from Ezmara, so your name is Malachai?"
  199. Malachai says, "No... have not seen her... and yes i am malachai... master blacksmith..."
  200. Atla-Cuauhtli says, "Interesting."
  201. Malachai says, "if you get me the materials for armor or weapons... i do it for free."
  202. Malachai says, "and forge it..."
  203. Malachai says, "more like a trade.."
  204. Malachai says, "you get the materials.. i make it... you get the item."
  205. Atla-Cuauhtli says, "That's good, i'll search for you if i want something."
  206. Atla did not want to be busy when Ajax came back, he then tried to rush a little Nochte.
  207.
  208. "So, what exactly do you want to do Nochte? Sorry, but I can not waste so much time."
  209.
  210. He folded his arms, it was not as if he wanted to be rude to Malachai, it was just that his time was short.
  211. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  212. Nochte says, "Well, if I get anything useful I will bring it to you Malachai."
  213. Nochte says, "But for now I'm all out of ores."
  214. Nochte asks, "Know any place with material stronger than adamantity and steel?"
  215. Malachai says, "....Hmmm..."
  216. Malachai says, "Not really sure..."
  217. Malachai says, "but i seek mythril mostly.."
  218. Nochte says, "Found none on my journeys.."
  219. Nochte says, "I think I will have to go closer to Valmasian and Jiangu territory for it."
  220. Nochte says, "Anyway, I can take the risk..."
  221. Nochte says, "Go do your things Atla, later I search for you."
  222. Malachai says, "I wish to forge someone in arcanium someday..."
  223. Nochte asks, "Someone...?"
  224. Malachai says, "something.."
  225. Nochte says, "Oh..."
  226. Malachai says, "i mispoke.."
  227. Atla-Cuauhtli says, "..."
  228. Nochte says, "Normal."
  229. Nochte says, "A material like arcanium..."
  230. Malachai says, "Arcanium is a very valued ore.."
  231. Malachai says, "it's very rare.."
  232. Nochte says, "I want to wield something made with it.."
  233. Nochte asks, "Never worked with it?"
  234. Malachai says, "Nope..."
  235. Malachai says, "But i wish i could..."
  236. Malachai says, "I worked nyeskh... two times.."
  237. Malachai says, "but arcanium?..."
  238. Malachai says, "nope..."
  239. Malachai says, "I want some... but you need captured... living people for it.."
  240. Nochte says, "Hm....."
  241. Nochte says, "If I capture someone on the war.."
  242. Nochte says, "We could use them..."
  243. Nochte asks, "But... you know what to do with the living person?"
  244. Malachai says, "Yes... hmmm... i wonder if xomac has a use for this.."
  245. Malachai says, "You... use them for a ritual.."
  246. Malachai says, "it is a secret.."
  247. Nochte says, "I see."
  248. Nochte says, "I will try to bring you the "material"."
  249. Malachai says, "Are you willing to vanguish a live for arcanium?.."
  250. Malachai says, "I dont like murder.."
  251. Nochte says, "If it's a prisoner..."
  252. Nochte says, "A valmasian."
  253. Malachai says, "...still a person.."
  254. Atla-Cuauhtli says, "..."
  255. Nochte says, "The blood will not be on your hands."
  256. Nochte says, "We will give them another use..."
  257. Malachai says, "Still i might commit the act for arcanium"
  258. Malachai says, "but... what we use for it.. is stolen"
  259. Malachai says, "gone.."
  260. Nochte asks, "Seriously?"
  261. Malachai says, "we are trying to retrieve it.."
  262. Nochte says, "I see..."
  263. Nochte says, "Well, I'm free if anything is in need."
  264. Nochte says, "Would be glad to help Atl."
  265. Atla stressed with Nochte.
  266.
  267. 'He comes to me asking for help even after everything he has done, I still offer him the help and suddenly he decides to ignore it and leave it for later? You really do not have Nochte salvation anymore. ' Atla thought.
  268.
  269. He simply came out with a clearly angry face, without saying anything.
  270. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  271. Mercuria asks, "And, also, apparently she and Enlazar were once lovers - But who isn't with Oya?"
  272. Nochte says, "Don't look like it.."
  273. Mercuria cackles a bit.
  274. (Mercuria)
  275. Atla-Cuauhtli exclaims, "Hey Ajax!"
  276. Malachai says, "I never had love interactions with oyaotl."
  277. Nochte says, "Same."
  278. Mercuria says, "Don't."
  279. Ajax asks, "Ah hello Cuauhtli! Mm we have a ritual that can create arcanium?"
  280. Malachai says, "i don't think she likes me anyway... i think she hates me or sees me something differently."
  281. Atla-Cuauhtli asks, "Could you please come here with me for a second Ajax?"
  282. Ajax says, "Ah if I must."
  283. Ajax asks, "What is it you wish to show me?"
  284. As Atla stepped away he realized that Ajax had returned, he then called him and they were a little away from Nochte and Malachai.
  285.
  286. "I came to talk about the expedition, but the reason I called you here is only because of Nochte, I do not want to be near him, he makes me angry."
  287.
  288. He had given Nochte 3 chances, and even disappointed Atla in all of them, even a Gentleman had a limit of patience, and Nochte had exhausted Atla's.
  289. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  290. Ajax followed Atla further away from the group so that they could speak with some privacy for a moment. He did not know what Nochte had done to make Atla so mad, but he wasn't about to make him angrier talking about it.
  291.
  292. "Mm well how are preperations going for the expedition? I almost have the warriors prepared, but we aim to go to battle soon. I only hope we will all survive to follow you on this expedition."
  293.
  294. Ajax looked back behind him to where they had just stood. He wondered if everyone would survive the battles to come. He hoped so. The expedition was his real aim. The war was only for fun.
  295.
  296. "Mm so I suppose Nochte is not a candidate for going on the expedition?"
  297. (Ajax)
  298. "Yeah, on the preparations I unfortunately had some problems ..."
  299.
  300. Atla removes his cloak, revealing his arms and shoulder, on his right shoulder it was possible to see runes embedded in his skin.
  301.
  302. "But do not worry, it's all settled, it will only take a little longer for me to recover, my magic circuit is not yet at its full potential, since it is getting used to... that."
  303.
  304. He did not want to tell details because the story is long.
  305.
  306. "Surely Nochte will not be a part of it, but I remember that I asked him to try to recruit people, could he find someone? Could you tell me the names?"
  307.
  308. Atla then put his white cloak back to hide the runes.
  309. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  310. Ajax says, "Mm I am sorry to see that has happened to you. So far I have found three but I have not seen one of them in a while."
  311. Ajax scratched at his chin as he thought of who he had found to come with them. "There is Za, Kalfu, and I will need one other. Hopefully Aizen is willing to go. He would be helpful."
  312. (Ajax)
  313. Atla put her hand on her own chin as she listened to the names.
  314.
  315. "I see, I will engrave these names in my mind."
  316.
  317. He then began to itch, Ajax had been the master of Jatziri, this might be a good opportunity to see the techniques of the master of his late friend, and also to train and test his new techniques.
  318.
  319. "Since the war is near, and I also need to test some things, what do you think about doing a training session in the arena?"
  320. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  321. "Mm I have no problems with this. Let us test out your might then!" Ajax patted Atla on the back and smiled.
  322.
  323. He knew war was near as well and he wanted to boost everyone's moral as much as possible. It did not hurt to keep himself honed as well.
  324.
  325. "We are winning this war, and we shall continue to win the rest!"
  326. (Ajax)
  327. They went to the Atl Arena that was nearby, although he was not from Atl Atla already knew a little about that place and had been there a few times.
  328.
  329. After positioning themselves in the middle of the arena, Atla removed her cape, so that the rune would remain the show.
  330.
  331. "Certainly Gehenna will win the war, and in the future I intend to contribute directly to it, but at the moment I am still weak, please help me in my training." Atla said this as he lowered his head in a sign of respect.
  332.
  333. Power and strength were the symbols of Gehenna, especially of Atl, and being a scholar of Gehenna he knew well of that, although he was supportive and preferred to assist in wars indirectly, his culture and his blood told him to stay stronger.
  334. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  335. Ajax himself drew his great sword and placed it in the ground before him. As he began to stretch. He had not had a fight in a while and he felt like he needed to limber up.
  336.
  337. "Indeed we shall, and you have nothing to worry about! I will do my best to help you in your training." With that Ajax nodded back to Atla. Grabbing his great sword out of the ground. He assumed his stance and grinned, prepared for battle.
  338.
  339. "Let's go at it than!"
  340. (Ajax)
  341. His magic circuit was not yet fully aligned, it would still take a few months, but Atla wanted to train this even if it was not at its maximum potential.
  342.
  343. Seeing Ajax come into position Atla also began to charge his power, he pulled his bow and concentrated, the rune on his right shoulder began to shine, energy began to flow out of Atla's body, but what was more different was the around him, it was possible to see sparks of mana in the air heading toward Atla, it was as if he were manipulating mana around.
  344.
  345. The mana sparks went toward the runes on his right shoulder which were now the main entrance and exit of mana in his magic circuit, there it was possible to see something forming, the runes condensed more and more the mana that arrived there, making it extremely dense, the color ranged from turquoise to white, in Atla's current situation it would take forever to charge, the mana would continue toward him and only in the middle of the fight would he be able to use such power.
  346.
  347. He extended the bow forward and aimed at Ajax.
  348.
  349. "Very well, I'm ready."
  350. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  351. Ajax moved into the range of Atla's bow without any hesitation. He did so in order to find out exactly how strong Atla could pull a bow. The first shot came out of nowhere, and Ajax barely dodged it by the scrape of a cheek. He had managed to avoid it last minute in able to lessen his movements.
  352.
  353. Finally getting close enough to knock away his bow with his great sword. Managing to leave Atla's hands unscathed. Aja then jumped backwards and regained his composure. Allowing Atla time to grab her bow again.
  354.
  355. "Mm your aim is impeccable, but what happens if someone knocks your bow away?"
  356. (Ajax)
  357. Never before had anyone managed to remove the Atla's bow, and Ajax's words made him understand something, he was dividing his attention between the struggle and the concentration of gathering the mana in the air, that made his strength in the bow smaller, his reflexes also appeared to have declined.
  358.
  359. "I understand..."
  360.
  361. But at that point he had already gathered enough energy in the back of his right shoulder where the runes were and also where the strongest muscle of an archer is, there the mana had condensed and compressed, become stronger and more brute, all the mana gathered there got the shape of a handle of pure mana.
  362.
  363. 'I'll test that now.'
  364.
  365. He raised the bow again, and imagined the spiritual world and its continuous, serene stream of mana, this was part of the wing mana if it was directed to the bow, the condensed energy had much more power, but this forced its spiritual circuit not yet was in perfect condition, was hard to maintain, his energy seemed to be draining faster too, but that still was not enough to make him stop the fight.
  366.
  367. He just tried to stay focused and focus on the opponent and the visions of his spirit.
  368. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  369. Ajax could feel the amount of spiritual energy that was beginning to form and coalesce around Atla. It was truly a frightening sight, and Ajax did not know what would happen if he managed to get caught by one of the blasts that could be released with that energy. It made the hairs on the back of Ajax's neck stand and it even caused Afro to take notice. He could hear him speaking in his mind.
  370.
  371. "That is very dangerous Ajax. We don't want to get caught by that. How did he manage to gain access to that amount of energy? Without it destroying him..Hmm, I will be present for the rest of the fight."
  372.
  373. Ajax grinned and swung his blade to make sure he still had the feel of it. Ajax spoke outloud to Afro even though his spirit was not physically present. He hoped he did not cause Atla to look at him like he was crazy.
  374.
  375. "Fine by me, but don't help! I can do this, and perhaps we should ask him how he did so after."
  376.
  377. (Ajax)
  378. Ajax exclaims, "When you are ready again!"
  379. Ajax says, "Wait before we continue to fight Afro and I have a few questions for you."
  380. Ajax says, "How did you manage to tap into that much spiritual energy without it destroying your body."
  381. Atla had been astonished after seeing Ajax using Energy, for some reason he had never noticed this in Ajax, and his control over energy was flawless, he clearly had far more experience than Atla.
  382.
  383. All that the archer did was try to keep his balance while keeping his distance and firing condensed arrows of high power, this was something that Ajax did not possess, this advanced manipulation on the mana is rare to see, but Atla was still a diamond that it needed to be polished.
  384.
  385. He could not escape the powerful attacks of Ajax, he took several consecutive attacks, trying to resist the damage, in a moment when Ajax came to Atla with one more of his attacks instinctively he thought of protecting himself, he thought of a safe place, that was his desire, and so for a second his body disappeared, for a moment his body had ascended to the etheric plane, but he had quickly returned to the arena, Atla was bewildered without understanding what had happened, he tried to recover in the fight more failed, it was inevitable, the difference between the strength of Atla and Ajax was still great.
  386.
  387. His stability dropped and his concentration was gone, the mana that formed his wing now had dispersed in the air again, his energy aura gone and the rune on his shoulder had shut down.
  388.
  389. He then sat down after the fight, trying to catch his breath to answer Ajax's questions.
  390.
  391. "It's a long story, you're an energy magi too, have you ever been in the spirit world?" The flow of mana there is something extremely different and powerful, I went there twice, and it seems that this made my magic circuit begin to to fuse with the spiritual mana, after that I had some problems with an Occult Magi and a Holy one, they destabilized and activated something that was forming in my spiritual circuit, my mind, my body and my spirit, the spiritual world now seemed to be connected to me in some way, after that things started to get strange, my flow of mana increased exponentially, but I could not control it in any way, mana in and out of my body were injured, and so with the help of some people I managed to make a risky operation and put that rune on my shoulder, which is where I concentrate all my mana to shoot the arrows, the rune works as a regulation, it allows me to control the mana around me, but I still can not do it properly. "
  392.
  393. Atla had tried to sum up the story, but it's still too big.
  394. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  395. Ajax had sat down at this point as well. It always took a lot out of him to activate his energy. He listened to Atla's story as he tried to relate it to his own. It sounded slightly similar but there were major differences.
  396.
  397. "It is indeed a peculiar story. I am not sure if I have been to the spiritual world, but Afro did mention something about travelling my own spiritual palace. He said it was sort of like the ground where all my true energy resided. He told me the power I use now is only a portion of it..but we have not yet figured out how to make it so that my body can contain more energy." Ajax pointed towards the runes that Atla had infused into his body.
  398.
  399. "Does that perhaps have to do with it?"
  400. (Ajax)
  401. A big smile appeared on Atla's face, what Ajax said made a lot of sense, and he saw a huge opportunity there for them to help each other.
  402.
  403. "I see, I wanted to ask you about this Afro too ..."
  404.
  405. He looks at the corner, there seems to be other people waiting to enter the Arena, including Nochte, this made Atla's face close a little.
  406.
  407. "But let's sit in those chairs there, there seems to be other people wanting to use the arena."
  408. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  409. Mercuria says, "Don't mind me. That being said, if any of you want to help me hone my skills..."
  410. Atla-Cuauhtli says, "I guess Nochte, the guy at your side can help you."
  411. Ajax says, "Mm after a short break. I would be willing to help. I simply need to regain my energy."
  412. Atla then turns his attention back to Ajax after going to the arena chairs.
  413.
  414. "About being able to withstand greater amounts of energy, well, I know the method I used in myself through runes, but it's risky and it takes someone with a high healing power in the process."
  415.
  416. He then crosses his legs and looks at Ajax carefully, he was extremely interested about this Afro guy, for being an energy magi Atla had some idea of what it could be.
  417.
  418. "This Afro you spoke to... is a spirit that accompanies you? As I said I visited the spiritual world, I came to see some spirits from afar."
  419. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  420. Ajax thought about the times he visited the 'Spirit Palace'. Thinking about it each time he had gone to it. Afro had been there to greet him, almost as if he was a guide. It seemed that him and Atla had a lot of information to exchange. He continued to tell him as they watched the battles unfold.
  421.
  422. "Indeed. He has been there to greet me everytime I have gone there, and he said it would have been near impossible tp find my soul palace without him.. Hmm I think I would be willing to try this runic experience if it enables me to grasp a greater energy..Who did you have do it for you?"
  423. (Ajax)
  424. He watched the fights as he exchanged information with Ajax, information and wisdom, all that Atla wanted.
  425.
  426. "The person who helped me was Paladin, maybe if I asked he could help you too, but I'm not sure..."
  427.
  428. Atla was impressed by the power of those who fought there, he was able to see Karma and Xomac, they possessed extraordinary powers.
  429.
  430. "Maybe you could help me too afterwards, I feel like there's something missing in me, a step I'd skipped, but I did not know what, maybe the answer is this soul palace, if I could reach it too, maybe I could understand this strange ability that I acquired. "
  431. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  432. Ajax smiled as he watched the fight finish. It was always a good sight to see a Gehennan able to matcha demon in battle. He then turned back to Atla after the battle concluded.
  433. (Ajax)
  434. Ajax exclaims, "Ah yes. Afro is willing to speak on the matter. I am sure we can help you just as you have helped us!"
  435. Ajax says, "I am glad to have met a user of a similar ability. We can compare notes."
  436. "To be sure, sharing information with those with similar skills is always advantageous to both."
  437.
  438. Atla felt that she had been in the arena for a long time.
  439.
  440. "Anyway, I'll tell you what the process of the method I've invented is, on a runic circle you should concentrate and absorb as much mana as you can, raising your energy, while a person places a rune at the main mana point of your body, in my case was the shoulder, when the rune begins to aborsorver the mana serving as a battery this will affect your magical circuits, and will cause you great physical pain, is enough for you to suffer permanent injuries, and that is where a healer enters , to keep your body steady as you heal. "
  441.
  442. He reveals the runes on his shoulder once more.
  443.
  444. "It's not easy, if you still want to do that we can go to the Paladin or some other healer."
  445. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  446. "The Paladin is a bit weird really, he's always wearing full armor, he's from Ezmara, but I believe he only helps the needy, so I'm not sure he'll help us, but it does not hurt to try."
  447.
  448. He then got up from his chair and started walking toward the exit.
  449.
  450. "Come on, let's go to Ezmara, there's the most likely place to find him."
  451.
  452. The puzzle really seemed to be starting to come to fruition, maybe the union makes the strengh.
  453. (Atla-Cuauhtli)
  454. Ajax exclaims, "Off to Ezmara then!"
  455. Atla-Cuauhtli says, "I guess we'll need to wait for him there."
  456. Ajax says, "That is okay. I can wait if it will help me achieve what I want to."
