Log of idea, for expansion later

TheRaven	My basic outline is the Kennedy assassination fails because...oh, let's say Oswald fucked up on his ammo choice and used commercial rounds. So with the Cuban Missile Crisis peacefully defused, the US and Soviet Union open up to the idea of cooperating in space research instead of competing.

	TheRaven	That leads to rapid advancements eventually culminating in manned exploration of the solar system, at which point things get a bit...weird. An alien derelict gets found, full of barely-sapient entities. We piece together that they used to be an advanced civilization, but generations of living in deep space fucked them up.

	TheRaven	So anyways, humans start trying to rehabilitate the aliens, and reverse-engineer their tech in the meantime. Which attracts something bigger, nastier and probably responsible for the refugee ship being there in the first place.
	TheRaven	The fun part is when humans and a new generation of partially-restored refugees start fighting back.
