- [13:43:40] Making his way to the familiar area, Echo seems to hold a book with the title that reads "The Fundamentals of Magic Power". His gaze is collected and is completely burrowed upon the pages of the book, reading every single word thoroughly. Perhaps something of familiar is seen from their previous encounter; Echo's lips utter the silent phrase constantly: "Calling... Concurrence and Occurrence..."
- Eventually, he makes his way towards the water, due to biggest skill when it comes to that. The training session is aimed for cognitive magic, for now, due to lack of own knowledge about the runes, but otherwise he sat down quietly next to the shore with the said book in preparation for the training.
- Deeply inhaling, he attempted to blot out his mind from any distraction that could be lingering upon his mind; although due to recent events, it's rather hard for him to do so. Despite the challenge, he still tries to find peace within himself, even if temporary, for the sake of aiding own concentration in doing cognitive magic.
- (Echo)
- [13:49:39] He would reenter the clearing after his little meeting with those Sirenian Magi. It was interesting to say the least. He would return there to his seat as he thought on why his subject would be staring there into the abyss, "What troubles your mind then, knight?" He would give him a kind of honorific to stoke some greater attention. He would vent some flames as the runes carved within the tree healed him with their occultic bloom.
- He would then keep his eyes upon the man for the entirety of his thoughts was to be contained within his mind. He would rather know what he was dealing with before he tried to say something.
- (Venirae)
- [13:54:46] Staying in a stance that resembles more of an attempt to sink oneself into meditation, he responded with a calm voice, almost unnatural to his brash nature.
- "I'm trying to free my mind to study advanced magic." - he said.
- Though a brief thought passed his head. 'Perhaps he knows...' - he wondered, and soon he turned his head sideways to ask the Kaor Lord again.
- "Have you ever heard of Lifestream, and how it can be manipulated by one's will? The mastery of cognitive magic, nothing short of bending the reality itself." - he exclaimed.
- It was a struggle for Echo. He was impatient, willing to get it over with quick, but regardless trying his best to sit down and meditate, to focus his mind and will. A slow, deep inhale flowed into his lungs, soon shutting his eyes for a moment.
- He remained silent from there on, concentrating on the task at hand to focus for the session of cognitive magic.
- (Echo)
- [13:58:11] He would look at him, giving a kind of turn of the head. He would answer however, "The lifestream is the continous flow of souls throughout the world. It is the path souls that have died take, their residual energy, as well as the life energy of all living creatures, it weaves and flows throughout and about. Why, pray tell, do you seek to as you say it, 'bend it' I hope you understand any tamperance is irrevocably depraved." Not that he frowned on such things in any capability.
- He would look at him, "Depraved powers, those that cut and tear through the lifestream, are the best at continuing this."
- (Venirae)
- [14:06:43] Casting a small frown upon his face after hearing this, Echo wondered: 'Depravity... is it even worth it...' - the moment of doubt had crossed his mind and he sat before the waters in silence. Pondering about it once more, he decided to follow it through. 'The magic is a powerful thing to wield... or deny. I do not intend to do the second.' - another thought crossed his mind.
- With a deep sigh escaping his lips, he doubted himself for a moment. Where was he even going with all of this? First studies of dark, dangerous arts, then the Occult Brand. Was he slipping into something that he never thought he would be? Perhaps the day he decided that Yokai were not inherently evil had led him to this; he was not careful enough. But is there a road back at all? Probably not.
- 'The life energy that weaves throughout and about...'
- A deep inhale.
- He opened his eyes again, only to gaze upon the clear waters before him. Mentally preparing himself for this, Echo began to clear his mind from anything that was not deemed necessary. The thoughts of depravity, of slipping to the wrong hands, of his brothers and his future - everything fading away in the stream of life, of knowledge.
- (Echo)
- [14:11:50] "Calling..." - a brief utter escaped his lips.
- Having cleared out his mind from everything unecessary, Echo began to establish a circuit that was flowing into his consciousness. Allowing the mana to flow through him, much like a Lifestream, he fed his mind with the raw energy that was necessary for such feat. His knowledge of blood magic helped in this too, since even the blood that was going to his brain with the natural pulse was nothing short of the mana flow.
- It was a subtle beat that he felt within. A whisper, the call. Now he understood why exactly it is "The Calling". He felt the connection grow in strength and significance, the constant flow of mana that was feeding his consciousness to perform cognitive magic. Feeling it, his breath grew deeper and perhaps even shallower, with his each heartbeat passing another flow of mana to feed it.
- At last, making the proper connection, Echo opened his eyes.
- (Echo)
- [14:18:40] "Concurrence..." - a small whisper escaped his lips.
- After opening his eyes to gaze upon the water, the flow of mana towards his consciousness - namely the circuit of Lifestream - had made him see the world the different way. It was the potential to bend reality, to do the magic without any emotional source to feed from. It was the actual magic now, done through the sheer willpower.
- Narrowing his sight upon the water, his arm slowly raised and weaved smoothly across the air; with a slow movement of his arm, the stream of water rose from the surface of lake, much like a whip stretching into air, but it remained almost moveless like that. Slowly swirling on the spot, Echo continued to visualize it in his mind.
- "Occurence..."
- His breath stayed controlled while he was sat on the shore. Bending the reality through his sheer willpower, it was of great importance for him to not screw it up. The constant flow of mana was supported, allowing his consciousness to be the bridge for mana and his willpower - alongside with visualization of process - to forge the magic into a whole spell.
- (Echo)
- [14:24:38] He wonders around and haven't find what he was looking for. He needed to search much harder until he saw a human meditating and hopees that human was weak because he wanted to try his new curse on him. Zeref then walked up to the human and looked down on him as if he was poop.
- (Zeref)
- [14:30:36] But to Kaor's surprise, Echo remained quiet and unbothered despite the loud thuds that the demon was leaving after himself. He remained in peace and quiet, meditating upon the water to practice the cognitive magic.
- If Kaor had listened to his senses, it suggested something undeniably off about the young Magi. Fueled by the raw and apparent talent, he had the Occult energies seeping from him, much like he knew of it almost on innate level - as if he were Yokai himself. There's a brand upon his body, one that is quite powerful, and a clear testimony of being a Thrall to somebody else.
- But that was not only it. Despite the peace and quiet he displayed now, the Brand was forcing the dark traits of his nature upon the surface - Hubris, the fatal pride and sign of Depravity were floating obvious to someone like Zeref, Kaor whom had sharp senses for such things by now.
- As for Echo? He still stayed quiet, and kept repeating three words:
- "Calling... Concurrence... Occurence.."
- The water whip above the surface was upheld in a straight motion, with occasional swirl about it. He was practising cognitive magic.
- (Echo)
- [14:38:17] Glaring down at the human he wondered if this human wanted to help in his training. Zeref wanted to talk to the human but he wanted to watch and learn more about the human ways of training. Zeref then started to get impaitent and only wanted to attack the human but he kept calm.
- Looking at the water he realise that something shiny was in and wondered what it was.
- (Zeref)
- [14:45:07] Further progressing in the use of cognitive magic, Echo upheld the circuit towards his consciousness to be capable of visualizing the magical effect and thus turning it into reality - such process was challenging, even for a talented Magi, because it required sheer willpower and one could not feed upon his emotions at all in order to do the magic, whereas emotions were known to provide with the largest pool of power at once.
- Though soon, with a sudden jolt, the water whip he held across the surface had turned into massive beam that shot across the lake, far ahead - the result of Echo's willpower surging at once after a lengthy flow and support of cognitive magic.
- Deeply exhaling after, he drew the water from the lake and shifted it closer to himself instead; it coated him, much like aegis of sort, and was flowing around him in a soothing, graceful stream. The swirl was hypnotizing in it's nature, attractive and brilliant - although only mastering technique of cognitive magic, thanks to raw power he was easily getting a hang of it. And such magic was the result of his meditation state, allowing him to do the magic in top notch precision that is simply impossible to do if you decide to fuel your magic with emotion instead.
- "Calling... Concurrence and Occurence..."
- Those three words escaped his lips in a hushed down tone every few minutes, as a brief reminder of instruction for himself.
- (Echo)
- [14:51:56] Waiting too long Zeref then just stomp his foot and did it again creating a smalll quake. Zeref didn't care it interupted the human training he wanted to talk to the person now. "Human...... What the hell your doing here in my researching place." Zeref uttered event though he knew it was lie. He then fold his arm and was getting more angier by the second for some reason while he was looking at the human.
- "Tell me small human, what you trying to do? Are yyou trying to get stronger? If so i could assist you in that." Zeref said. He wanted to see what would the human say so he stated some random stuff.
- After a while Zeref wanted to task human flesh and hope it got some hatred within its soul.
- (Zeref)
- [14:57:04] With a squint of his eyes, he turned his head towards Zeref after feeling the quake; the session with practice of cognitive magic was coming to an end nonetheless. He looked up at the towering Kaor Yokai after overhearing his words, and soon responded ot them - his voice was casual in the conversation while responding to his question:
- "I'm on the ground of another Kaor, unless you two share the ground now?"
- He knew little of Kaor's politics between each other, but he didn't care about it much either or put a thought into it, and proceeded to answer further.
- "You're not wrong, I am indeed training to grow in strength. Although, if your offer consists of Occult knowledge, I'm afraid you're late with that." - Echo answered in a monotone voice.
- He threw another glance towards the water, and soon returned his gaze upon Yokai once more.
- "I'm surprised you did not attack me right away. Were you interested in my practice?"
- (Echo)
- [15:14:08] Zeref learned something new hearin what echo said. He learned that another yokai control this land and he wanted to meet this strange yokai which wanted to control this place which had material he wanted. Zeref was excited to see that the human before him didn't reacted much to his presences. It seems like the human had already been tainted by some other yokai which made him rather angry but happy at the same time.
- "Oh so who is this yokai you are speaking of? Tell me his name strange human. I wish to know everything you know about this yokai which you say own this land." Zeref then stop for a moment. Gathering his thoughts and then looks at the human and said.
- "Since your training would you like to have a friendly battle with me?" Zeref said.
- (Zeref)
- [15:18:24] "Venirae is the name. He's Kaor, just like you." - Echo answered to his request of the name and information.
- Putting away his training for cognitive magic, Echo stood up after hearing Yokai's request and turned around to him. The crimson shade had coated him, displaying the art of bloodbending, and a deep inhale filled his lungs right after that.
- "I do not mind, for as long as this stays a spar, and not a deathmatch." - Echo answered.
- Although Magi was young in his age, it seemed that violence was not putting him off even for a bit. He freely agreed to it, despite the fact that going up against Kaor Yokai could result in a serious injury.
- (Echo)
- [15:21:48] Immediately distancing himself from the Kaor to have more spacing for magic, Echo drew the sword from the scabbard on his hip. His other hand was preparing a spell from what it seems, judging by the gesture of his hand, and his brows tugged together in a small frown that was suggesting a concentration upon Kaor Yokai.
- Generating an odd movement with hand that could suggest one of the techniques of bloodbending (for as long as Kaor was actually familiar with those), he prepared to launch his magical power upon his spar opponent.
- (Echo)
- [15:24:22] Accpectance.... Zeref was jumping for joy inside, his frail body was in some condition which he needed to get back into sharp so he could kill anything without taking a lot of time. Zeref took his blade out of the darkness and flash off the darkness flames off it. "Oh seems like i still got the strength to pull that weapon out." He uttered to himself.
- Zeref got into a stands and was ready to do some training on this human he didn't care if the human hold back or not. He was going to fight as he wanted to kill this person but keeping them alive at the same time.
- (Zeref)
- [15:25:13] {combat} Echo has been defeated by Zeref! They're unable to continue fighting.
- [15:28:38] Zeref dash across with his weaken body and wondered if he could manage to hit the human but it seems the human uses some pokemon type of move like hypro pump. He then wondered why did human have a blood aura and manage to change its shape and was able to shapeshift it willingly. "Interesting i need to do some more research about this bloody aura i see you got." He uttered then got back into his stance.
- (Zeref)
- [15:32:03] Regaining his stance after taking a significant hit from the Yokai that knocked him down, he stood up, adjusting both his armor and stretching a bit to regain his composure.
- Hearing his remark, Echo responds with a smug smirk on his face:
- "You'll have an up close demonstration of it, then."
- Drawing upon his sword once more and preparing the cast of magic, Echo stands ready to fight against Zeref.
- (Echo)
- [15:38:01] Zeref seeing the human trying to uses some whip to beat him didn't look painful to him. He looks at the human and send his fire wave and punch the ground to send fire erupting from the ground. Zeref then wondered if he could become a ball and roll over the human but he just stop after he ppunch the human sending him into the tree house and sat down. He didn't enjoy the battle that much but it was able to stratch his muscles abit.
- "Human why don't you try with me i shall make you stronger withing no time."
- (Zeref)
- [15:43:08] Flying off against the tree from the sheer blast of compressed air and heat as result of fire magic, he hit it with his back and grunted. Taking a moment to stand up again soon after, he cracked his back sideways and adjusted the armor that was upon him, shaking his head to come back to his senses wholly easier.
- Casting his gaze upon Zeref, he responded to his offer:
- "We'll see. The other Kaor is by no means weak either."
- Making his way elsewhere since his practice is over, he exhaled sharply to cope with the pain easier. Just before he'd leave, he said those last words to the Yokai.
- "Good fight."
- (Echo)
