Late Night Training

As most of the group settled in for the night, Emmy continued her training. Sweat poured from her face and body as she performed set after set, repetition after repetition with her sword. Finally, after finishing the last movement, she collapsed onto her backside and let out a sigh. A look of exhaustion washed over her, before she let her head back and began to laugh.

Opening her eyes, she saw Arisa looking down at her. "You're gonna wake the others." She offered her hand, and Emmy took it and pulled herself to her feet (and almost dragging Arisa to the ground in the process). Arisa asked why Emmy was still up, and she responded "Our friends don't take their training nearly as seriously as us. They always have their head down in books or in prayer. My body is what stands between them and danger. And, well...I'm worried what comes next may be very dangerous indeed."

Arisa smiled, and said "Then allow me to join you! Soon it will be time for us to prove ourselves." Emmy looked at her puzzled for a moment. "What? Did you think you were the only one who wanted to protect people. They're my friends too! And that includes you Emmy. I have to make sure you're okay as well." The Dragonborn smiled and picked back up her sword.

So they set to work, honing themselves for the coming battles ahead, and whatever waited at the bottom of the citadel.
