  1. You hoisted the heavy holy lance upwards to block Gray's deadly charge with the metal body of Rhongomyniad, but... as you brought the weapon up to defend yourself, the scythe simply passed straight through Rhongomyniad, becoming ethereal when met by your weapon and continuing on to strike you! You didn't even have the time to utter a curse of shock before the scythe cleaved a massive gash across your body, passing through your clothing and rending only flesh.

  3. You leapt backwards away from Gray after failing to dodge her first attack. Your mind flashes back to when Gray slashed at the statue and it was completely unharmed from the slash... that weapon... that scythe... it is a weapon that can only interact with that which is alive. Rhongomyniad might house the powerful spirit of a Goddess within it, but... the spear itself was only a vessel for said Goddess at this point, and even disregarding that, Rhongomyniad was a spirit. A divine spirit, but a spirit never the less. "Damn it!" You looked down at your bleeding chest and took a deep breath. The wound hurt a great deal, far more than a normal wound should've hurt you, and what's more... it wasn't healing either. The weapon in Gray's hands was none other than a conceptual replication of Death's Scythe. It finally clicked. A weapon that only touched that which was alive, and a weapon that could not be blocked by any means. Death could be avoided, and it could be dodged, but it could not be blocked by anything. Not without the power to overcome death itself.

  5. You barely had the time you needed to get yourself back into a position where you were able to defend yourself again before Gray leapt towards you once more, the terrible scythe swinging downwards towards you! You manage to just hop out of the way of her second strike just in time, and you noted that the grass around the area that Gray's scythe had hit the ground had started to wither and decay.

  7. That was when the wound in your chest exploded in pain, and you coughed up a great deal of blood. Gray was no longer attempting to attack now, and was simply standing there, staring at you. "I am sorry." You looked down to see that the deep slash you had been dealt from the scythe was far worse now, and you could see hundreds of blackened veins and arteries as the curse of the scythe coursed through your body. You collapsed to the floor, unable to move from the pain, and Gray walked slowly up to you. "May you have more peace in the next life." She brought her scythe down upon you one final time, but this time, she was aiming for the neck.
