Personality: Introverted, kind, clever, compassionate, but emotionally damaged. Has some room to develop as he's still very young. Has a fear of militaristic or menacing looking uniforms since it is associated with bad memories he has of past trauma. Loves to eat a lot and often if he has the chance, because severe hunger was such a huge problem for him in life.

Backstory- Mortal Life: Ita was a victim of genocide during war from a young age and never had a chance to grow up to become anyone. Ita's upbringing was as an ordinary child who didn't have the benefit of ninja or academy training, he was instead homeschooled with what passed for education during the era he lived in.

Although Ita had a peaceful existence within a loving family for a short time early on, he was only 8 years of age when war broke out because of a tyrant coming to power in a neighboring land, and as such: an invading army had proceeded to ravage and lay waste to his country and all the people of his village were targeted for forced labor or execution. He and his family fled their home away from the advance of the enemy forces upon hearing rumors of what was happening, but were cornered in a valley and captured. Ita and his family were separated and were enslaved to mine for minerals in camps established by the enemy for his people's exploitation and annihilation.

Ita was 9 years of age while he was in enemy custody and while there, had suffered horrendous abuse at their hands while being subjected to a starvation diet. A hot iron permanently branded his right wrist with a letter and number string as if he were disposible property- to be discarded like trash once his usefulness was spent. Against all odds, he had managed to get more food rations than he was supposed to get, and endured for 5 months within the labor camp before he killed a guard and made his desperate escape into the mountains. Ita had managed to get away but just barely. For they were chasing him and shot arrows towards his back. His shoulder was wounded but in the end, they stopped pursuing and he gave them the slip.

Ita proceeded to do whatever he could to survive off the land, but was failing miserably in his weakened state and inexperience. He was able to steal food from the towns on the other side of the mountains but constantly risked recapture in doing so, he made sure to move during night hours. He heard rumors that the invaders were steadily being driven back by another rival nation they were trying to invade and that a liberation of his homeland was possible soon but couldn't verify this. He was still too far within enemy territory for himself to benefit from the war turning against the vicious and brutal occupiers. He looked for resistance groups he could join but found only collaborators that were brought in instead.

By now, his life on the run was taking a tremendous physical toll on Ita and he felt despair and a loss of hope as he felt weaker day by day and having lost everything that previously made his life good and enjoyable. He was barely 10 years old when he felt his death was imminent in a cave he was using for hiding and as temporary shelter, having been reduced to an emaciated skeleton of his former self. Sobbing, he declared everlasting hatred for and cursed vengeance towards anyone who treats other people as he was treated. Although his suffering was at an end, he didn't rest in peace.

Reanimation: Almost 2,000 years later, his bones were found and he was reanimated for reasons unknown to him. The one who summoned him let him walk free and have free will in part because he wouldn't be useful for fighting or for doing his bidding given how he died. He explored the land aimlessly and while he figured out that he couldn't die if he was already dead, he still felt tremendous pain and bitterness for his old life full of terrible memories that he wanted to forget. He longed to truly live again and have a second chance at life upon seeing how peaceful and prosperous everything was now when this was often never the case when he was alive. He came across Lady Ku, who named him Ita and thereafter- he grew more attached to her and later became emotionally attached to Kuru as well- whom he considers as a second mother of equal importance.

With Kuru and Lady Ku's help, Ita is now seeking for a way to have a physical body again so that he can live as a real boy and grow into a man, which he did not get to do with his original life that he felt cheated and deprived by.
