  1. [18:36] There was one to seek, an archon at that, one Atro had rare interactions with, but he desired the best, perfection, and so there had to be-
  2.
  3. One that could produce the result.
  4.
  5. Finding Illaron, Atro stepped forth bulky archon, a minotaur in humanoid shape and form, but with wings. "Illaron." He calls out, appraising the archon once more. "You're the only one capable of providing the enchantments I seek." From a sack, Atro takes out a crown- one of arcanium by the look and feel.
  6.
  7. "For it deserves the best, and to make sure those umbral shards are silence, I'd trust an archon the best. To enchant further- the arcane of yours too will work wonders. We know each other not well, but I ask for your assistance, and in return, I have a debt to repay to you."
  8. (Atro Gwyn)
  9. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  10.
  11. [18:42] Illaron, enchant this.
  12.
  13. Illaron was lingering within the fields of Crafthold, generally minding his own business. There were plenty of things on his mind, from the siege on Ardent, to the venture into the lost ruins of his people. Both were worrisome, as both could easily bring him an untimely death. Something he didn't particularly want to have happen.
  14.
  15. It wasn't until the voice of Atro rang out behind him did the Archon stop and turn. Bright red eyes shifted towards the Elsyrian. "A project?" His voice echoes within the mind of Atro, a telepathic message that his kind was well known for. His mouth does not move, but his voice is as clear as day.
  16.
  17. "Working with the umbral shards might prove troublesome, but it's doable." He replies, and takes a moment to examine the arcanium crown. "...Hmm. Very well." The Archon states, and hands the crown back to Atro.
  18.
  19. "I will hold you to your word."
  20. (Illaron)
  21. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  22.
  23. [18:45] Not a word from mouth, but invasion to his mind. Atro winced for a moment, yet did nothing to shake it off, he takes the crown back within his hands and gives a curt nod.
  24.
  25. "I'll tell you a method of enchantment that is best for you, one I could only do to minor extends. To use the arcane to bring out the most from a metal's properties. The shards." His teeth grind briefly. "Need to be silenced, so I ask you to dominate them completely upon the crown. Silence but let their properties continue."
  26. (Atro Gwyn)
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28.
  29. [18:49] "Perhaps as a Kaor, I would have had trouble quieting the whispers of those shards." Ah, it felt like it was so long ago that Illaron was but a large minotaur, roaming the lands of Agartha. "But now it should be no issues. The creature it spawned from is dead, so it will be a simple task."
  30.
  31. Or so he assumed.
  32.
  33. "I assume you have a workshop we can work in quiet? I will need to be uninterrupted for this."
  34. (Illaron)
  35. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  36.
  37. [18:50] Atro Gwyn says, "Simply, my house will do, and if more is required then tell me."
  38. [18:50] Illaron says, "That will be fine."
  39.
  40. [18:56] Within the home it's a bit spacious in the living room, and so Atro thought it would do. Whatever happens could be repaired...
  41.
  42. No one had the right to complain except Kayeliun, but she wasn't here.
  43.
  44. And so he guides the demon and halts at the center of the room, his gaze shifting towards the table in the corner and gesturing towards it while offering the arcanium crown, then a bag with three umbral shards.
  45.
  46. While onces whispering sweet tales, they were more dormant than ever before.
  47.
  48. "The method," he begins, glancing back towards Illaron. "Simple to say, and it should be easier for you. Enchantments to draw own some properties of materials in ways, but the arcane enchantment digs deeper. Pouring the energy inward, gripping the properties as it is a part of the world, and by some extents arcane is to-" There's a bit of irritation.
  49.
  50. "Anyhow, once grasped you pull then suffuse. You pour in hints of your own mana toexpand then suffuse and pull without taking, only drawing out, enticing. There's an imprint that will be left- one reflecting the nature of your arcane." And so he awaits. "I wonder what it will be for you, what sort of chaos you'd demonstrate."
  51. (Atro Gwyn)
  52. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  53.
  54. [19:04] As they enter the house, Illaron takes a moment to glance around. It was rather quaint, but it likely performed it's function without any issues. As Atro turned to face Illaron, his gaze simply remains focused upon the man.
  55.
  56. "During my expeditions into the ruins, I've come across several runic designs that will serve the purpose without issue. The silencing of the voices from the shards will be childs play, nothing more than sealing away what little dredges of corruption is left, while still retaining it's power." Of course, saying it and actually doing it were two different things. It certainly wouldn't be as easy as the Archon claimed it to be.
  57.
  58. "As for the arcane..." He seems to pause for a moment, and promptly turns towards the nearby table. Illaron reaches into his cloak and into a animal skin satchel that hanged off of a belt, and pulled out a small box. He places it on the table, and opens up the lid, revealing an array oftools specially designed to assist in runewriting.
  59.
  60. "Those will prove troublesome. I am no master of the Arcane, not like Tragedy and Kayeliun, but I believe I can make it work." He gestures for Atro to sit. "Come, let us stop wasting time, and get to work."
  61. (Illaron)
  62. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  63.
  64. [19:07] Atro gave a simple wave of his hand. "No, that doesn't matter. You don't need arcane as advance as theirs to do it. As an enchanter, in this case, yours is likely to be more suitable and knowledgeable."
  65.
  66. As instructed to sit he does, pulling out a chair and taking the seat to await the task with eyes peering greatly - to caution and appraisal. "I know your skill so I needn't worry. I'll keep my word as offered, simply make a request." And with that he waits.
  67. (Atro Gwyn)
  68. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  69.
  70. [19:33] And so it was time to begin work.
  71.
  72. As the two sat at the table, Illaron reached for his tools and began to carefully arrange them before him. Each one was placed in a particular spot, easy to reach and replace with each movement, an unconscious tick developed after decades of practicing his art.
  73.
  74. But it was one that lead him to be one of the most potent runewriters on Agartha.
  75.
  76. The crown of Arcanium is placed before Illaron, and he takes another moment to carefully inspect it's construction. It was undoubtedly a work of art, a crown forged of one of the rarest materials known to man, unmatched in its durability. It was the perfect material to be used in such a project. A single tool is taken up from the table, one tipped with a faint green tong.
  77.
  78. It would take Arcanium to carve into Arcanium, after all.
  79.
  80. Slowly and carefully Illaron brings to tool against the band of the crown, and begins engraving a set of runes. Unlike many Atro might have seen over the years, these were foreign. Drawn up by the long lost works of the Agarthan civilization, they were designed on an unknown language which brought great power when used properly.
  81.
  82. Each one was carefully carved next to the setting where one of the umbral shards would set, and linked into the bindings. They would serve to bind the residual corruption in the shard, a feat only possible due to the creators death. However, the sheer power of the occult the shards possessed would remain unchanged, and easily flow into the remainder of the crown to act as an amplifier for the wearer.
  83.
  84. The process in itself took quite awhile, and Illaron remained silent throughout the process, his attention focused solely on the creation of the design. Occasionally tools were switched out with another, and small vials of powdered ore was carefully sprinkled on each rune, causing them to set and activate.
  85.
  86. Soon, the engraving was finished, revealing an impressive array of runes carved upon the length of the crown. Each one was carved in an unknown design, each brimming with untold potential.
  87.
  88. His hand raises, and with it, the crown levitates before them, lifted up by the Archons arcane magic. "Now.." Illaron speaks, his eyes still focused on the crown.
  89.
  90. "Comes the hard part."
  91.
  92. Illaron closes his eyes, and begins to focus. For the likes of Atro, ones who are attuned to the arcane energies, he could sense the arcane magic beginning to swirl around the crown. Illaron's energies began to flow into the crown, causing each rune to jump to life, each one giving off a bright blue glow. Arcane magic infused itself into the band, as chaotic energies began to pulsate around them. The chairs around them began to shake and shutter, before being launched away from the table. Glass jars and other material began to shake as untold magic began to swirl around the crown.
  93.
  94. It was a process that called upon the power of the arcane, of the deepest and darkest emotions that fueled the chaotic energies both magi were known to wield. It was something few others would be capable of replicating.
  95.
  96. If Atro were to look at Illaron, he would notice the difficulty the Archon was having. His face was stern, but the exhaustion on the Archons face was very noticeable. Beads of sweat dropped from his brow and onto the table, but soon the process would begin to slow. The chaotic side of the arcane had infused itself into the band.
  97.
  98. It had successfully linked with the arcane, a process that would've destroyed many other object. Perhaps it was only possible due to the premium materials used in its construction, or the runes supporting it's creation.
  99.
  100. Whatever it was, the Crown slowly drifted down onto the table in front of Atro.
  101.
  102. "It is done..." The voice of Illaron echoes within the mind of Atro once more, but it was more more laboured. The process took quite a lot out of Illaron, but it hadfinally came to an end.
  103.
  104. "I've suffused the chaotic energies of the arcane into the crown. Along with the runes, it should do what you require of it."
  105. (Illaron)
  106. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  107.
  108. [19:42] And so the Elsyrean peers keenly at the Archon's work. Atro was no enchanter, but there was still much to learn, and foreign engravings etched upon the crown piqued curiosity, his eyes narrowing as Illaron worked.
  109.
  110. But an eruption coursed through the room, arcane energies amplifying the runes, and blue hue submerged the room, and shook the house they worked in.
  111.
  112. But Atro doesn't move nor have fear, he keeps his eyes on each and every act to take note, to see fruits of labor and research etched onto the crown.
  113.
  114. It needed to be perfect... and at the expense of the Archon's energy, it was getting there. The stern gaze- but sweat hinted. "You have my thanks." He repeats sand reassures, gazing downward towards the table.
  115.
  116. Taking out the shards into his hand, there's instability with his magics, but he takes the band, the chaos perusing his form, but he held an inclination towards it- but not occult. "It will," he places the first shard into its hold, the largest amongst the slots. "make a perfect gift..." He's mesmerized as he places the final shards into place.
  117.
  118. "And so," breaking the trance he looks upward to Illaron. "Do you have a request now?" He inquiries.
  119. (Atro Gwyn)
  120. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  121.
  122. [19:50] Illaron watches for a moment in silence as Atro carefully places the shards into the settings on the crown. Upon being set, the runes linked to the slot would begin to pulsate, and begin sealing away the residual corruption within the shards.
  123.
  124. His attention soon shifts back to Atro.
  125.
  126. "I have no request as of right now." He replies. "But when I come up with something, I will let you know. That is, unless you get your hands on a shard of the spires, or something along those lines."
  127. (Illaron)
