- Explanation BK pestilence. Don't assume everything is 100% correct.
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
- When a necro with the Funerary Pick weapon uses Siphon Blood on a monster, the monster will be marked for approximately 150 milliseconds and will take 600/300 more damage from any necro that also has a Funerary Pick. This bonus does not stack (if both necros use Siphon on the same monster, the bonus will still be 600/300 total).
- This can be used to allow the TK to help the BK maximize their damage while hitting the boss, but also during the GR, allowing the BK to finish off isolated Elites, or even for the BK to mark targets for the TK while they don't have Land of the Dead available. Remember that you can mark up to three targets, so the two necros could mark up to six in the ideal situation.
- This BK has two sources of damage: 1. While using Devour, pikes are launched at arbitrary nearby targets (untargeted pikes). 2. Manually using the Corpse Lance skill will launch additional pikes at the monster you are targeting with the mouse (targeted pikes).
- Ideally, you'd want to autocast Devour and manually cast Corpse Lance as much as possible. Unfortunately, Siphon and Corpse Lance are mutually exclusive; strictly speaking, it's not possible to use both skills at the same time.
- The sequence when the boss appears would be the following:
- 1- The boss appears.
- 2- The TK targets the boss, holds down the key corresponding to the Siphon skill, and doesn't release it until the boss dies or the TK loses the target because, for example, the boss has moved. The boss will now be marked with a 600/300 damage bonus depending on whether or not there are additional monsters nearby.
- 3- The BK has devour auto-cast (macro), targets the boss and press Command Skeletons, then Siphon to accumulate the 10 stacks, then release Siphon, activate Land of the Dead and hold corpse lance. The 10 stacks of Power Shift (Rune) only last 3 seconds, so before they disappear (not before two seconds) it is necessary to briefly press the Siphon key to renew them and it will continue using corpse lance. This way the BK maximizes its damage as long as it is supported by the TK correctly. The way to reduce the time in Land of the Dead if a second cycle is necessary is to repeatedly press Command Skeletons to spend resources (ring zodiac), usually using a macro.
- There are TK players who use macros for Siphon during the boss, and instead of holding the key that corresponds to this skill, they do the following: press Siphon, release Siphon, wait a short time, maybe 250 ms, and repeat the whole process (press and release the key). This is VERY inefficient, the BK loses a lot of damage, so you would need a 5k BK to do the same damage as a 3.5k one because the TK isn't using siphon properly, it's preferable to use it manually.
- Additional observations:
- 1- This BK, since he's using Corpse Lance with the Cold rune, doesn't need critical chance on items. Every time a spike hits the same target, our critical chance on that monster increases by 5%. In approximately 1 second, we'll have 100% critical damage on the boss. The shoulder pads take significantly longer to maximize their damage than it takes us to reach 100% critical chance.
- 2- The accessible breakpoints (without losing too many stats) for this build are 1.72 (14% more damage), 2.001 (20% more damage), and 2.4 (25% more damage). Our goal is to reach 1.72 through items, and this is achieved by having 7% attack speed on the weapon and both rings. With the Shrine Frenzy bonus that we will get through the potion (is important not to die to not lose the bonus on the boss) we will reach the next breakpoint (2.001), and finally with a Speed Pylon we will reach the last breakpoint mentioned. The Lacuni bracers only make sense to use when we do not reach 1.72 attack speed because maybe we have 7 + 7 + 5 IAS instead of 7 + 7 + 7. BreakPoints => https://i.imgur.com/23XCTmU.png
- 3- The blue circles can be very useful to have Land of the Dead available sooner.
- 4- With this set, you gain 3% damage reduction every time a spike hits a monster. This effect stacks 25 times to give you 75% damage reduction, but it only lasts for 15 seconds. This means that if after 15 seconds there are no corpses (because you're skipping maps, or the TK is dead or waiting to attack, and you don't have LOTD available), you'll lose that damage reduction. To avoid this, it's a good idea to use the Molting rune on Blood Rush: simply jumping near a monster and pressing Devour can renew the damage reduction for another 15 seconds.
- 5- When entering a GR, you can use Land of the Dead to gain the set's damage reduction sooner. This skill can also be used to attract the attention of nearby monsters and get them to follow you.
- 6- The TK doesn't need to be stuck to the boss to use Siphon. If there are no ads, its damage will be residual.
- 7- You must not have CC (freeze, stun, fear, etc.) on any item.
