  3. ---
  4. >Be you
  5. >High schooler in some midwestern town in bum-fuck nowhere (Pretend he's just turned 18 or something, they were teens in the Nightmare on Elm St series.)
  6. >You don't know what ancient gods you angered or what Indian burial ground you pissed on by mistake, but whatever it was you did, karma has come to bite you in the ass.
  7. >In the form of a blonde haired girl dressed as Freddy Kruger who keeps visiting you in your dreams (nightmares at this point), even making appearances outside dreamland.
  8. >And instead of murdering you and your friends.
  9. >Weeeelllllll
  10. >She just does stuff like sing and tell stories, all of which having happy endings of course
  11. >At first you didn't mind this at all, hell, you thought she was pretty cute.
  12. >But her visits became nightly, and it appears she's been visiting other people in town.
  13. >3 guys you knew got sent to the loony bin, claiming "she won't leave us be"
  14. >Realizing she mainly visits you in your dreams, you did the only logical thing anyone would do.
  15. >And that was to stop sleeping period.
  16. >And it worked, for 2 days.
  17. -
  18. >But then things changed
  19. >You began seeing her during the day to
  20. >Out of the corner of your eye, you'd catch glimpses of long blonde hair, not long after, you began seeing the hair's owner.
  21. >Then came the singing that would abruptly start and stop at random intervals.
  22. >Then came the light taps on your shoulder
  23. >And books laying around that you'd never think to read in a million years.
  24. >And it only got worse when night came around.
  25. >The happenings only got worse and more frequent
  26. >You swore you could feel her breath on the back of your neck.
  27. >And soon, chugging down 3 cups of coffee just want cutting it.
  28. >Your eyelids began feeling like sandbags.
  29. >And it didn't help that the girl's singing went from hyper, upbeat songs, to soothing lullaby's that no mother could ever dream of mastering.
  30. >"Don't you want to play more Anon? Come on, go to sleep."
  31. >"N-No" you stammered out
  32. >"But I'm spoo lonely, your other friends have died already-"
  33. >Shit what?
  34. >You decided that your room wasn't safe anymore, and that maybe a doomer-esque walk at midnight would feel good.
  35. -
  36. >It didn't take long for your "no sleep routine" to rape your life in the ass with no lube.
  37. >Grades began dropping faster than Bill Cosby's pants after drugging a woman
  38. >Your sleep deprivation caused you to start acting odd, which made the friends you had left decide to keep the fuck away.
  39. >Your parents grew increasingly worried, you think they're hiding pills in your food and drinks.
  40. >Now you probably had to stop eating too.
  41. >And of course, low and behold, your torture in physical form kept coming.
  42. >Her name apparently was Charlie, as you learned a few nights back.
  43. >But you weren't having anymore of her shit.
  44. >This was it......time for war
  45.
  46. >The traps you set, a massive fail.
  47. >None of them were triggered, and when you tested one of them, it left the living room a mess.
  48. >Now for plan B
  49. >You found the key to a certain cabinet under Dad's chair
  50. >And in your parents bedroom, low and behold:
  51. >Dad's 12-gauge shotgun.
  52. -
  53. >You raced out of the house
  54. >You couldn't, not here, wouldn't want someone to walk in on your stunt after all.
  55. >All the while, the appearances got more and more intense
  56. >"Anon, what's that?"
  57. >"Anon, it's that a gun?"
  58. >"Anon wait?"
  59. "SHUT UP"
  60. >You screamed, though now some of the neighbors are staring at you through the windows.
  61. >Oh, and they see the gun
  62. >Damn, now you really had to hurry it up.
  63.
  64. >Fortunately that today, the janitor was to busy doing drugs to lock the doors of the school.
  65. >So you ran right in, and headed for the gymnasium.
  66. >This is it, now or never
  67. >You loaded the shotgun, sirens blaring nearby. Meaning that the cops were here already.
  68. >Luckily you locked the doors, so now you had a good 5 minutes to blow your brains out.
  69. >But then she appeared again.
  70. >You were crouched in the corner of the gym, eyes tearing as you raised it to your head
  71. "W-Why??"
  72. >She crept closer, her smile never fades
  73. "Why are you doing this?!"
  74. >5 ft away
  75. "ANSWER ME"
  76. >"I just want to motivate you Anon, if you keep being so mediocre you'll never make it up there"
  77. >She pointed
  78. >"And sometimes, everyone needs a little push now and then"
  79. >You could hear the police beginning to break into the school.
  80. >With only a minute to spare and your harasser distracted, you put it up to your forehead.
  81. >You closed your eyes
  82. >And pulled the trigger
  83. >BANG
  84. >It all went dark as the wall behind you got a new coat of red on it, with some of your brains sprinkled in.
  85. -
  86. >You opened your eyes
  87. >You were no longer in your gym
  88. >Now you were in what looked like a city.
  89. >And there's this giant-ass pentagram hovering above the city
  90. >It turns out, you're in hell
  91. >Your mediocre life plus your suicide was enough to piss off Big G, and now you're stuck down here
  92. >But as the hours ticked by, you realized that this wasn't all bad
  93. >For starters, you didn't look like some fursona straight out of tumblr or deviantart
  94. >And also, Charlie wasn't here
  95. >Now you were free
  96. >At last, you were free
  97. >No more singing, no more stories, no more feeling as if you were losing your mind.
  98. >It felt as if a great weight had just been lifted off your body.
  99. >"Anon?"
  100. >.............
  101. >"Anon I didn't recognize you there"
  102. >No
  103. >No this had to be a mistake
  104. >No way could she have followed you down here
  105. >"Hey anon, I can't wait to show you around this place, I was born in hell you know, oh and now we can hang out forever."
  106. >Your knees suddenly felt weaker than Joe Swanson's
  107. >You fell down to ground and wept
  108. >Your attempts of escape had failed
  109. >Now, you were stuck with Charlie Kruger for eternity.
  110. >No more video games
  111. >No more Friday night parties
  112. >Now was the age of Harry Potter book marathon (only the 1st book)
  113. >Now was the age of endless show tunes
  114. >She was currently rambling about some hotel she recently bought, but that mattered little to you as you continued to cry.
  115.
  116. >The End
  117.
  118. Hope you guys liked this short story, was based off a small green last thread where instead of the hotel, Charlie visited sinners in their sleep to redeem them.
