Fire Red Round 2 Race

Fire Red Round 2 race is happening at 6PM EDT today! (In about 2 hours from writing this)

What is Fire Red Round 2: It's that bitchin category where you beat up the Elite Four 2 times, and to do that you need to gather 60 Pokemon in your Pokedex and those bitch ass Sevii Island Sidequests

Why you should join: Because you love pokemon, speedrunning is cool, and people of all skill levels are going to be in this race, so it's the perfect chance! Well practiced, not well practiced, even completely blind people are in this race, so if you are thinking about playing this game, this is a great opportunity.

Note: If you are playing on emulator you MUST STREAM
Note: For an emulator, Visualboyadvance is fine. Just make sure you have the right save type before you start, otherwise it won't save after Round 1 and you're screwed.

How to race: Get an irc client. Any is fine, mIRC, Xchat, hexchat, chatzilla, icechat. Whatever you like

Join the server irc.speedrunslive.com (if it says the server is full or something, try irc2.speedrunslive.com)

Either join the channel #speedrunslive and type .races and click on the channel next to the Fire Red Round 2 race
Or simply join #srl-glrx3 (the race channel for this race, obviously will only work for this race)

Type .enter to enter the race

Type .setstream <stream url> to link your stream to the username you are using. For exmaple .setstream twitch.tv/werster

When you are ready to race, type .ready When everyone has ready'd up, Racebot starts a 10 second countdown, start the race when he says GO! (Off title screen, use a fresh file)

When you are finished the race type .done

If you do not finish the race and elect to quit, type .quit
NOTE: If you do quit I will lose all respect for you and probably bitch about you for the rest of your life
