- Song Performance
- The Songstress has a number of daily uses of Song Performance equal to their Charm rank plus ½ of their Trainer level (minimum 1 and a maximum of 6) up to a maximum of 12 daily uses (14 with Virtuoso).
- A Songstress can use her song to produce effects on those around her (including herself if desired). While these features fall under the category of songs and their descriptions discuss singing, they can be activated by reciting poetry, chanting, singing lyrical songs or melodies or even whistling.
- Starting a Song Performance is a standard action. Some require concentration, meaning the song requires a standard action each round to maintain. If a song does not require concentration it is a free action to maintain each round. Regardless, while using a Song Performance a Songstress cannot use sonic attacks, consume snacks or refreshments or anything that would require use of her mouth.
- Song Performance can be interrupted - should this occur the Songstress will need to start a whole new Song Performance, consuming another daily use. Song Performances are interrupted anytime a Songstress is denied her turn such as by Flinch, Freeze, Paralyze, Sleep, etc.

- 2 Daily uses of Song Performance - Standard Action
- Make a melee range AC2 Status attack against a target to initiate this feature - this is not an actual attack but the user merely touching the target. You must succeed to physically touch the target - if you cannot the effect fails and the daily uses are still consumed.
- If you succeed in touching the target you make a Charm check opposed by the targets Focus or Intuition check. If your result is greater the target will consider you their best pal and to be the greatest thing to have ever happened to them for the duration of this effect. If you, or anyone in your party has harmed them, or if the target has any obvious dislike or loathing for you or anyone in your party in particular the target gains a +10 bonus to their Focus or Intuition check. This effect lasts for a number of minutes equal to the users Charm rank.
- While under this effect the targets goal is to make the user happy even at the expense of themselves, to an extent. The target may disclose information they normally wouldn't, even under orders, or give up personal belongings so long as they don't have attachments to them or they aren't necessary. For example a police officer may not give up their wallet containing a family photo or their firearm but may give up their keys or their vest. The target also will not willingly harm themselves at the users request though may put themselves in harms way to save the user.
- Song Performance Songs
- Competence
- Requires Concentration
- A Songstress can use her song to cause an ally to perform better at a task. The ally needs to be within 6-meters of the Songstress and be able to see and hear her and she needs to be able to see the ally. The ally gains a +3 bonus on a particular skill, chosen when beginning this song, for as long as she sings and concentrates.
- The GM may rule that certain uses of this song are infeasible - chanting to make an ally move more quietly, for example, is self defeating. A Songstress cannot use this song on herself.
- Fascinate
- Requires Concentration
- A Songstress can use this song to cause one or more creatures to be fascinated with her. Each creature needs to be within 18-meters of her and must be able to see and hear her. Damage of any kind the target suffers prevents this song from working them. A Songstress can fascinate a number of creatures equal to her Charm rank.
- The Songstress makes a Charm check opposed by the targets Focus or Intuition check. If her result is greater than the target(s), the target stands quietly and listens to the song, taking no other actions for as long as she performs the song and concentrates.
- The target(s) can make a new opposed check each round to overcome the fascination.
- Countersong
- Requires Concentration
- A Songstress can use her song to prevent certain effects from ever occurring, such as Sonic or other sound based effects, enchantments and spells. Any opponent within 12-meters of the Songstress that can see and hear her must make the appropriate skill check (General Education for Sonic or sound, Occult Education for enchantments or the appropriate education for spells - typically occult) opposed by her Charm check. If her result is greater than the target, the sonic/sound, enchantment or spell is considered used (resources, frequency, etc. are expended) though its effect in its entirety does not occur.
- A Songstress can perform Countersong as if it had the Priority keyword and maintaining it requires concentration.
- Freedom
- A Songstress can remove all volatile status conditions or a single persistent status condition with a song from a single ally within 8-meters of her and the ally must be able to see and hear her. Freedom ends as soon as it is used on an ally and cannot be used on herself.
- Courage
- A Songstress can inspire courage in herself and her allies in the scene that can see and hear her. All affected gain a +1 bonus to accuracy checks and a +1 bonus to Saves and damage for every 2 Charm ranks she has.
- Greatness
- A Songstress can inspire greatness in herself or one ally within 6-meters to gain a +2 bonus to accuracy checks, a +3 bonus to Fortitude checks and Temporary Hit Points equal to her Charm ranks times 3.
- The effects of Greatness remain for 5 rounds after the ally leaves the songs radius or if the Songstress stops singing. The Temporary Hit Points remain until the end of the scene, regardless.
- Warchant
- A Songstress can grant herself and all allies in the scene that can see and hear her damage reduction equal to her Charm rank against bludgeoning, piercing or slashing damage - chosen when beginning the song.
- Suggestion
- A Songstress can make a Suggestion to any creature she has fascinated (or creatures if she so chooses - though the multiple affected will be subject to the same Suggestion). Using Suggestion does not break the Songstress' concentration of Fascinate and does not consume any daily uses of Song Performance. Using Suggestion is a Standard Action, requires the Songstress to speak the language of the target(s) and she makes a Charm check opposed by the target(s) Focus or Intuition checks. If her result is greater she can do the following:
- She influences the actions of the target by suggesting a course of activity (limited to a sentence or two). The activity must be worded in a manner as to make the activity sound reasonable. Asking the target to willingly harm itself causes Suggestion to instantly fail, however a Suggestion that a pool of lava is actually pure water and that a quick dip would be refreshing is reasonable. Urging a creature to stop attacking your party so that it and your party can jointly loot a rich treasure elsewhere is likewise a reasonable use.
- The activity can continue for the entire duration, such as in the case of the creature mentioned above. If the activity can be completed in a shorter time, the Suggestion ends when the target finishes what it was asked to do.
- You can instead specify conditions that will trigger. For example, you could suggest to a warrior to give his armour to the first beggar he meets.
- A target that succeeds its check against a Songstress becomes immune to any further Suggestions until the following day.
- Deafening Song
- Requires Concentration
- A Songstress can perform a song so intense it can deafen her enemies. She can perform a song against a number of opponents equal to ½ her Charm ranks within 8-meters that can see and hear her. She makes a Charm check opposed by their Focus or Intuition check. If her result is greater the targets become deaf. This deafness persists for 5 rounds after they leave the radius or she stops singing.
- Targets hit with Deafening Song (this can hit targets it causes to go deaf) after being caused to go deaf by it become afflicted with Vertigo. They must make a Fortitude check opposed by the Songstress' Charm check. If her result is greater the target(s) become Tripped.
- Deafening Song requires concentration and the Songstress may omit any taget from her song as she chooses.
- Heroics
- A Songstress can inspire heroics in herserlf or a single ally within 6-meters that can see and hear her. The target gains a bonus to Evasion and Saves equal to ½ of her Charm ranks. This bonus persists for 5 rounds of the target leaving the radius or if the Songstress stops singing.
