  3. Hey guys, how’s it goin?
  4.
  5. I feel like I’m in an in-between phase right now. I am torn between two courses of action for my immediate speedrunning future. Right now, I am going through the VS COM difficulties of Nintendo Puzzle Collection’s Panel de Pon to take those records back. I did get back the Hard mode record on Thursday. That said, I am feeling a growing dissatisfaction with my cursor speed that will require me to do something different from what I usually do in order to address it. The something different I have in mind is Pokemon Puzzle League Spa Service. It’s been something I’ve wanted to get good at for years and it would force me to move faster and think faster, but it’s a mode that I really don’t like playing because the gameplay gets stale and boring after a small period of time. It’s also not a great viewing experience. Then again, Azumanga Daioh doesn’t really appeal to a wide audience, either—and neither does a puzzle series whose original game turns 25 this year, for that matter. I don’t know. My performance with NPC S-Hard this week will likely dictate which direction I go. Stay tuned.

  7. If you don’t care to read about content that’s not safe for work, then I’ll thank you for reading here. There is something I’d like to talk about here that’s not for everybody.

  9. (Maybe the disclaimer is not necessary since I have openly talked about speedrunning Huniepop and Crush Crush, but I’m sure someone appreciates the notice.)

  11. Even though most of the entertainment in my life has revolved around anime in some form, I haven’t paid attention to much anime and haven’t been excited about any anime in years. Anime is also a time investment that I usually don’t have enough of to give. However, there is a new adaptation of a 2017 manga with a concept that hit me like a ton of bricks as a single, straight, adult man. The show is called “Interspecies Reviewers.”
  12.
  13. Think of a fantasy world filled with many different species of mythical creatures. Now imagine that world has a bunch of sex shops based on each of those creatures. Now ponder what a story following a group of adventurers of various species visiting these sex shops and posting their reviews of each shop to a pub’s bulletin board for other adventurers’ consumption would look like. This is as concise a synopsis as I can give of Interspecies Reviewers. It’s a concept that I haven’t seen get explored too much in fantasy stories. It intrigues me.

  15. Having scanned through the manga, I like what I’ve seen and actually can’t wait to see how the anime adapts it. The first episode appeared to be a faithful adaptation. That said, the manga doesn’t get super explicit, even by the standards set by Japanese law, despite the subject matter. You’ll see some nipples, but that’s it. And yet, a version of the first episode accessible in Taiwan, of all places, was streamed without any censorship in the opening sequence whatsoever, revealing the most private of female naughty bits. This show, in several ways, is a freaking unicorn. I can’t wait to see more.

  17. That’s my life story for the week. Until next time, everyone, thanks for reading!
