  1.
  2. Final Fantasy VI
  3.
  4. Platform: Snes / SFC
  5. Released (d.m.y):
  6. 02.04.1994 (J)
  7. 20.10.1994 (NA)
  8.
  9. Based on: NTSC-U/C-version (SNS-F6-USA)
  10.
  11.
  12.
  13. - DON'T EVER USE SKETCH!
  14. - You *cannot* reset the game by hitting the usual buttons.
  15. - You can use L and R to toggle between characters in the menu and go
  16. up and down pages (though only in the inventory). It was about time.
  17. - During battle, you can press the menu button to switch between
  18. characters that are ready to take action.
  19. - Exp is divided among active party members.
  20. - The game can be paused during battle (which will stop the play time
  21. counter from running) but not on the field.
  22. - The play time counter maxes out at 99:59.
  23. - Item names are limited to 12 characters and, as a result, many names
  24. have been crunched to fit into that limitation. I won't be using these
  25. names so you can search for stuff without memorizing exactly which
  26. characters were dropped.
  27. - Due to a programming error, physical evade does nothing. Instead,
  28. Magic Evade handles evasion for both physical and magical attacks. This
  29. also renders the Darkness status (largely) benign.
  30. - The game is technically playable with an NTSC-PAL adapter, but when
  31. doing so, the game won't always display text in the menus.
  32. I'm not aware of any other issues, but I haven't played it much this way.
  33. Hopefully it doesn't do what Super Mario RPG does, which is crash on
  34. you with 100% certainty at certain points while also wiping out all
  35. the save files in the process.
  36. I strongly recommend importing a Super Famicom so you don't have to
  37. worry about stuff like this.

  87. Kefka's Tower
  88.
  89.
  90.
  91.
  92.
  93. Party: Terra Lv3, Wedge Lv1, Vicks Lv1 \\\ Narshe ||
  94. Default (Terra): Mithril Knife, Buckler, Leather Hat (Artifact),
  95. Leather Armor (Artifact)
  96. - You'll start off with 3000 gil and the key item Pendant.
  97. - Terra (or Tina) starts with two spells: Cure and Fire.
  98. - You'll fight a few fixed encounters before entering the mines.
  99.
  100. Boss: Whelk \\\ Narshe Mines ||
  101. - You'll fight the boss immediately after crashing the gate.
  102.
  103. [Boss]
  104. - Hold your attacks whenever Whelk retreats into its shell.
  105.
  106. Item (nc): Elixir \\\ Narshe ||
  107. - Check the clock.
  108.
  109. Items: (Phoenix Down, Sleeping Bag) \\\ Narshe Mines ||
  110. Default (Locke): Dirk, Leather Hat, Leather Armor
  111. Default (Mog): Mithril Pike, Mithril Shield
  112. Boss: Marshal (+ 2× Lobos)
  113. - There are two chests here, but I strongly recommend you don't open
  114. them. Later in the game, they'll be holding different items.
  115. - Eventually, you'll be in control of Locke with the objective of
  116. protecting Terra from the enemies with the help of some moogles. One
  117. of these moogles is Mog, who will eventually join your party as a
  118. standard PC. If a party is wiped out here, they'll just respawn (albeit
  119. with only 1 HP).
  120. - The scenario ends once you take out the Marshal. Before you fight
  121. him, unequip Mog's equipment so your other characters can use them (you
  122. won't be seeing Mog again anytime soon).
  123.
  124. [Boss]
  125. - 420 HP
  126. - The leader hits fairly hard: ~50 pod with normal, ~100 pod with
  127. Totsugeki. Mog's team will have the easiest time here. You can use
  128. Locke's party first to try and steal a Mythril Knife, but it's not
  129. that important.
  130.
  131. Items: Tonic, Sleeping Bag \\\ Narshe ||
  132. Item (nc): Tincture
  133. - While you can't explore the town, you can at least check out the
  134. Beginner's House.
  135. - The trapped chest in the room with the save point doesn't seem to
  136. give you anything.
  137.
  138. \\\ Figaro Castle ||
  139. Items: Soft, Tonic, Antidote, Phoenix Down
  140. Item (nc): Auto Crossbow
  141. Default (Edgar): Mithril Sword, Buckler, Leather Hat, Leather Armor
  142. Boss(es): 2× M-TekArmor
  143. Shop:
  144. Tonic 50 gil Auto Crossbow 250 gil
  145. Tincture 1500 gil Noise Blaster 500 gil
  146. Antidote 50 gil Bio Blaster 750 gil
  147. Soft 200 gil
  148. Echo Screen 120 gil
  149. Phoenix Down 500 gil
  150. Sleeping Bag 500 gil
  151. Tent 1200 gil
  152.
  153. - After meeting Edgar, go talk to the woman in the west tower, then
  154. return and talk to Edgar in the throne room.
  155. - After the event, go talk to Locke in the east tower.
  156.
  157. [Boss]
  158. - Expect heavy damage from Madou Laser (~75). Better use the Auto
  159. Crossbow Edgar starts off with.
  160.
  161. Party: Locke, Edgar, Terra \\\ Cave of Figaro ||
  162. Items: N/A
  163. - There are three chests here, but I suggest you don't open them.
  164. - You should probably keep Edgar in the back row and use his Tools
  165. (Auto Crossbow mainly).
  166.
  167. Item (nc): Tonic \\\ Sabin's Cottage ||
  168. - You can rest for free here.
  169.
  170. \\\ South Figaro ||
  171. Items: 500 gil, 1000 gil, 1500 gil, Hyper Wrist, Running Shoes
  172. Items (nc): Tonic, Soft, Antidote, Eyedrop, Green Cherry, Phoenix Down,
  173. Elixir, Tonic, Warp Stone
  174. Shop:
  175. Dirk 150 gil Sprint Shoes 1500 gil
  176. Mithril Knife 300 gil Jewel Ring 1000 gil
  177. Mithril Blade 450 gil True Knight 1000 gil
  178. Regal Cutlass 800 gil Star Pendant 500 gil
  179. Goggles 500 gil
  180. Kung Fu Suit 250 gil
  181. Cotton Robe 200 gil
  182. Heavy Shield 400 gil
  183. Buckler 200 gil
  184. Plumed Hat 250 gil
  185. Hair Band 150 gil
  186.
  187. - Some of the nc-items here would also get an upgrade if you wait until
  188. much later in the game, but it's nothing too exciting.
  189. - The two accessories (aka. Relics) are found on B2 of the rich man's
  190. house (go through the hidden path behind the bookshelf, then search
  191. the south wall on B1)
  192. - Hyper Wrist: Strength +50%
  193. - Running Shoes: Auto-Haste
  194.
  195. \\\ South Figaro Region ||
  196. Theft: Tonic / Mithril Claw (Rhinotaur)
  197. - Scoring one of these would be nice, but it's nothing huge.
  198.
  199. \\\ Mt. Kolts ||
  200. Items: Guardian (Artifact), Atlas Armlet, Tent, Tent
  201. Theft: Bandana (Brawler)
  202. Default (Sabin): Metal Knuckle (Unique), Leather Hat, Kung Fu Suit
  203. Boss: Vargas (& 2× Ipoohs)
  204. - Atlas Armlet: Increases physical damage by 25% or so.
  205. - You'll find the save point somewhat near the boss.
  206.
  207. [Boss]
  208. - After taking out the Ipoohs, you'll soon be in control of Sabin,
  209. who will have to finish him off alone. The only way to do so is to
  210. execute the Blitz move Pummel by inputting Left, Right, Left, A. You
  211. have a limited amount of time to pull it off.
  212.
  213. - Sabin's Blitz moves are delightfully powerful. Try to learn to use
  214. some of them consistently (even if it's just Aura Bolt). Once you can
  215. do that, you should probably place him in the back row.
  216. - Don't try to execute moves that aren't on your list yet. They won't
  217. work (that's FF8).
  218.
  219. \\\ Returners' Hideout ||
  220. Items: Potion, Phoenix Down, Air Lancet, Phoenix Down, True Knight
  221. Items (nc): Green Cherry, Antidote, Tincture, Gauntlet / Genji Glove
  222. - Feel free to pick up some Potions (300 gil each).
  223. - After you talk to Banon, you'll be in control of Terra alone.
  224. - Talk to all your PCs inside the hideout, then talk to the guy at the
  225. entrance.
  226. - You'll find Banon outside the hideout. Talk to him and he'll ask you
  227. something. CHOOSE NO!
  228. - Once you've said no to him, return to the storage room to get a Genji
  229. Glove from the guy there. *Now* you can agree to help Banon out.
  230. - After the event, your party will consist of Edgar, Sabin, Terra, and
  231. Banon. Banon is just a TPC, but if he dies, it's game over.
  232.
  233. Theft: Mithril Knife / Guardian (Pterodon) \\\ Lete River ||
  234. Boss: Ultros
  235. - Ride the raft.
  236.
  237. [Boss]
  238. - Ultros can hit for as high as 200 pod, so better keep that Health
  239. fired up.
  240.
  241. - You are now presented with three scenarios that you can complete in
  242. any order. I'll start off with Locke.
  243.
  244. Party: Locke Lv14 \\\ Narshe ||
  245. Items: Iron Armor, Ether, X-Potion, Ribbon, Large Shield,
  246. Regal Cutlass, Earrings
  247. Items (nc): Cider (Special, Temp), Old Clock-Key
  248. Theft: Plumed Hat / Guardian (Merchant)
  249. Default (Celes): Hairband
  250. - Trigger a battle with one of the guys in Magitek Armor, so you can
  251. get their Rage later.
  252. - There's a merchant you can fight in the item shop. Steal his clothes,
  253. and the kid in the nearby building will let you pass, assuming that
  254. you're willing to fetch some cider for his grandpa.
  255. - The cider can be found in the basement of the inn (there's a hidden
  256. path that lets you cross the river). You'll have to fight another
  257. merchant to get it.
  258. - Deliver the cider to the old man. When you talk to the kid afterwards,
  259. give him the correct password (Courage), and he'll open a hidden passage
  260. for you that leads to the rich man's house. Once there, proceed to the
  261. basement that you already checked out earlier.
  262. - Celes' spells: Cure, Antdot, Ice, Imp
  263. - After freeing Celes, get the Old Clock-Key from the guard. Use it on
  264. the clock in the nearby room to open yet another hidden passage.
  265. - In the next area, you'll find... lots of hidden paths. Yeah... Anyway.
  266. Keep in mind, unlike in FFV, there's nothing you can do to make the paths
  267. visible. You'll just have to hug the walls.
  268. - The Ribbon is completely hidden from view, right nearby the X-Potion.
  269. - The Earrings boost the power of magical attacks by about 25%.
  270.
  271. Theft: Air Lancet / Bio Blaster (TunnelArmr) \\\ Cave of Figaro ||
  272. Boss: TunnelArmr
  273. - You'll fight the boss right at the other exit. If you think you can
  274. afford it, de-equip your accessories, so that you can use them in the
  275. other scenarios. You will *not* get a chance to enter the menu after
  276. the boss.
  277.
  278. [Boss]
  279. - You can use Celes's Runic ability to block some of its spells.
  280.
  281. - Thus concludes Locke's scenario.
  282.
  283. Party: Sabin Lv16 \\\ House by the river ||
  284. Shop:
  285. Shuriken 30 gil
  286. Inviz Edge 200 gil
  287. Shadow Edge 400 gil
  288.
  289. - You can recruit Shadow to your party here if you want. He might
  290. ditch the party at times, though.
  291. - Stock up on Tonics.
  292. - If you have the Earrings available, give it to Sabin to boost Aura
  293. Bolt and Fire Dance.
  294.
  295. - Once you reach the Imperial Camp, the game briefly switches over
  296. to Cyan (aka Cayenne).
  297.
  298. Lost & Found: Black Belt (Leader) \\\ Doma Castle ||
  299. Default (Cyan): Ashura, Buckler, Leather Hat, Leather Armor
  300. - Take out the leader. Back to Sabin.
  301.
  302. \\\ Imperial Camp ||
  303. Items: Star Pendant, Mithril Glove, Barrier Ring
  304. Lost & Found: Green Beret (Telstar)
  305. - Better head out and save your game at this point.
  306. - Get the last three chests immediately after your first encounter with
  307. Kefka. One of them is a monster-in-a-box (Telstar + Soldier).
  308. - The Barrier Ring is in the tent right behind the one that had the
  309. Mithril Glove and Telstar. Sabin will jump to it when you get behind
  310. the other one.
  311. - Once you have the items, chase Kefka. After a couple of events,
  312. you'll team up with Cyan and flee the camp.
  313.
  314. \\\ Phantom Forest ||
  315. - Wander around the forest to find a train.
  316.
  317. \\\ Phantom Train ||
  318. Items: Earrings, Phoenix Down, Sniper Sight, Phoenix Down
  319. Lost & Found: Hyper Wrist (Specter)
  320. Bosses: Specter, Phantom Train
  321. - There's a save point in the last car.
  322. - Hopefully you've gotten decent with Fire Dance.
  323. - The ghosts will either attack you, join you, or sell you items.
  324. - When you enter the 3rd car, a ghost will block your way out. Beat him
  325. up, and you'll soon find yourself in the 5th car (second save point).
  326. - You can skip the 7th car. Nothing important there,
  327. - In car 8, you'll find 4 chests including a monster-in-a-box (I'll count
  328. these as bosses from now on).
  329. - Car 9: third save point.
  330. - In the engine room, you need to flip both switches on the side, then go
  331. to the front of the train.
  332.
  333. [Boss]
  334. - Nothing special here. A Phoenix Down would result in an instant kill.
  335.
  336. Boss: Rizopas \\\ Barren Falls ||
  337. - Shadow will leave the party here (if he already hasn't), so unequip
  338. anything important he might have.
  339.
  340. Items (nc): Elixir, Tintinabar \\\ Mobliz ||
  341. Shop:
  342. Mithril Knife 300 gil Iron Armor 700 gil
  343. Mithril Blade 450 gil Iron Helm 1000 gil
  344. Mithril Claw 800 gil Bandana 800 gil
  345. Kotetsu 800 gil Magus Hat 600 gil
  346.
  347. White Cape 5000 gil
  348. Dried Meat 150 gil
  349.
  350. - You'll need to use Dried Meat to get Gau in your party.
  351. - In order to score the Tintinabar, you'll need to complete a little
  352. side quest. In one of the houses, you'll find a guy lying in bed and
  353. a letter on the table nearby. Examine the letter (which is from his
  354. girlfriend) to read it to him. You have to keep sending his letters to
  355. her and reading the letters she writes back. You can send the letters
  356. in the house with the carrier pidgeys (it'll cost you 500 gil each time).
  357. For some reason, in order to trigger the girlfriend's letters, you'll
  358. have to talk to one of the shopkeepers.
  359. - Eventually, there will be no response. At that point, he'll give you
  360. the Tintinabar. The regeneration this accessory gives you per step is
  361. base Stamina/4.
  362.
  363. Default (Gau): none \\\ Veldt ||
  364. - The encounters on the Veldt consist of encounters you've triggered
  365. outside of the Veldt. This excludes nearly all bosses and some other
  366. special encounters.
  367. - As you can see, Gau has no Attack command (not that he'd have much
  368. use for it seeing as he can't equip any weapons). Instead, he has Rage
  369. and Leap, the latter of which can only be used here in the Veldt. When
  370. you use Leap, the enemies in that encounter will be added to Gau's Rage
  371. list. Using Rage then allows him to take on (some of) the abilities of
  372. these enemies.
  373. - There are about 250 Rages in total. Getting all of them is a pretty
  374. lengthy task. I never bother with it myself.
  375. - Default Rage: Brawler, Enzeru Wisp, Were-Rat, Rhinotaur, Lobo,
  376. Epokusupuresu, Karutagura, Shibiruamoru, M-TekArmor.
  377.
  378. Items: X-Potion, Green Beret \\\ Crescent Rock & Serpent's Trench||
  379. Item (nc): Tonic
  380. - Once you find the diving helmet, you'll immediately jump into the water.
  381. - Turn right at every opportunity to get the two chests.
  382.
  383. Item (nc): Elixir \\\ Nikeah ||
  384. Shop:
  385. Mithril Pike 800 gil
  386. Silk Robe 600 gil
  387. Fairy Ring 1500 gil
  388. Smoke Bomb 300 gil
  389.
  390. - Once you're ready, board the ship to end the scenario.
  391.
  392. Party: Terra, Edgar, Banon \\\ Narshe Mines ||
  393. - The last scenario is very short and easy. Just go through the mines
  394. again to reach the house you woke up in.
  395. - Do *not* open the chest in the Moogles' lair! It has a Rune Edge in
  396. it right now, but get it later and you'll get a Ribbon instead.
  397.
  398. Theft: Mithril Vest (Rider) \\\ Narshe Valley ||
  399. Lost & Found: Peace Ring (Kefka)
  400. Bosses: Rider, Kefka
  401. - Once all three scenarios have been completed, your next mission will
  402. be driving away the imperial forces from Narshe. You'll have to split
  403. your 8 characters into three groups while doing so.
  404.
  405. [Boss]
  406. - Better steal that Mithril Vest.
  407.
  408. [Boss]
  409.
  410. \\\ Narshe ||
  411. Items: 5000 gil, Earrings, Thief Knife, Hyper Wrist, Sneak Ring,
  412. Wall Ring
  413. Item (nc): Elixir
  414. Shop:
  415. Full Moon 2500 gil Iron Armor 700 gil
  416. Flail 2000 gil Silk Robe 600 gil
  417. Regal Cutlass 800 gil Mithril Shield 1200 gil
  418. Air Lancet 950 gil Iron Helm 1000 gil
  419. Mithril Pike 800 gil Bandana 800 gil
  420. Mithril Claw 800 gil Plumed Hat 600 gil
  421. Kotetsu 800 gil
  422. Mithril Glove 700 gil
  423. Barrier Ring 500 gil
  424.
  425. - Terra will be MIA for a good while. Choose a party from the remaining
  426. 7 characters (Locke would be highly recommended, so you can keep stealing
  427. stuff). If you form a party with fewer than 4 characters, you can get
  428. Shadow to hang out with you again.
  429.
  430. Shop: \\\ Figaro Castle ||
  431. Revivify 300 gil
  432. Flash 1000 gil
  433. Drill 3000 gil
  434.
  435. - If you put Edgar in the lead, you'll get a 50% discount on the items.
  436. - Talk to the old guy in one of the rooms near the entrance to move
  437. the castle.
  438.
  439. Item (nc): Hero Ring \\\ House North of Kohlingen ||
  440. - The Hero Ring is the Atlas Armlet and Earrings combined. It increases
  441. both physical and magical damage by a bit.
  442.
  443. Item: Green Beret \\\ Kohlingen ||
  444. Item (nc): Elixir
  445. Shop:
  446. Head Band 1600 gil
  447. Fire Skean 500 gil
  448. Water Edge 500 gil
  449. Bolt Edge 500 gil
  450.
  451. - Shadow's here.
  452.
  453. Item (nc): Tincture \\\ Jidoor ||
  454. Shop:
  455. Kaiser Knuckle 1000 gil Mithril Vest 1200 gil
  456. Forged 1200 gil Ninja Gear 1100 gil
  457. Kodachi 1200 gil White Dress 2200 gil
  458.
  459. Earrings 5000 gil
  460. Peace Ring 3000 gil
  461. Sniper Sight 3000 gil
  462.
  463. - Gear up, then head for Zozo.
  464.
  465. \\\ Zozo ||
  466. Items: Tincture, Chain Saw, Tonic, Thief Glove, Fire Knuckle,

  472. Boss: Dadaluma
  473. - Set the clock to 6:10:50 in one of the buildings to get the Chain Saw.
  474. - The Dragoon Boots changes the Attack command to Jump. There all sorts
  475. of glitches related to Jumping, so I suggest you never use this. It's
  476. not that powerful anyway, although you *can* double the damage if
  477. you're equipped with a spear, but even then it just takes too long.
  478. - The Thief Glove changes the Steal command to Capture, allowing you
  479. to steal while attacking, which isn't *bad,* but I'm not sure if it's
  480. something worth wasting an accessory slot for.
  481. - There's no save point before the boss, but he's not that hard.
  482.
  483. [Boss]
  484.
  485. - Once you find Terra, you'll obtain your first Espers (Genjuu /
  486. Summon Monsters) whose powers are contained within Magicite.
  487. Equipping a Magicite (through the Skills menu) enables you to:
  488. × learn spells (from now on, (most) enemies will give you AP)
  489. × summon the Esper
  490. × gain stat bonuses when leveling up
  491. - These stat bonuses are extremely important, as it's the only way
  492. to permanently increase your stats (other than HP and MP). Unfortunately,
  493. none of these four Espers will allow you to increase your Strength,
  494. but we'll get some pretty soon. Increasing your Stamina is a *very*
  495. low priority. A higher Stamina rating will *not* decrease the damage
  496. you take from physical attacks!
  497. - Speak to your other characters to "warp" out. If you walk out manually,
  498. you *cannot* trigger the event in Jidoor.
  499. - Locke and Celes will now be mandatory party members.
  500. - From now on, you should probably pay attention to which characters are
  501. close to leveling up, so you can switch to a useful Esper right before
  502. they hit it. Right now, that Esper would be Stray, who gives you a +1
  503. to Magic. Not much, but it'll have to do.
  504.
  505. \\\ Jidoor ||
  506. - Talk to Impresario in the manor north. Check the letter he drops,
  507. then head for the opera house south of town.
  508.
  509. Boss: Ultros 2 \\\ Opera House ||
  510. - Save your game before talking to Impresario. Celes won't be
  511. participating in any of the battles.
  512. - During the opera scene, choose the following lines:
  513. 1. | Oh, my hero... <---
  514. | Alas, Draco
  515.
  516. 2. | I Wish...
  517. | I'm the darkness <---
  518.
  519. 3. | Must I <---
  520. | Prince Ralse...
  521.
  522. - After that, you have to dance around with Draco, pick up the flowers,
  523. and go to the very end of the top area. You have limited time during
  524. all of these.
  525. - Once you're in control of Locke again, go check the letter in the
  526. dressing room, then return and talk to Impresario.
  527. - You now have 5 minutes to reach Ultros before something bad happens.
  528. The first thing you need to do is unlock the door in the northwest room.
  529. Go to the northeast room to find four switches. Hit the right-most one,
  530. and the door will be unlocked. When fighting the rats, take out the
  531. Goetia first, as it can call for reinforcements.

  578. - This is the point where I really decided to put some effort into
  579. halting my level progress, so I could (somewhat) properly boost my
  580. stats before the end of the first world.
  581. - There are some fairly elusive chests here.
  582. × The Gold Shield is in the first area, but can only be reached
  583. from the second area.
  584. × Don't miss the pipe on the east side of the second area.
  585. × The chest with the Gold Armor is completely hidden from view. It's
  586. the south-most chest in the second area.
  587. - Make sure you've found all the items (save for the Break Blade) before
  588. you follow the two Espers you saw Kefka dispose of. Check your levels as
  589. well, so you won't get wiped out by Lv5 Death after the boss.
  590.
  591. [Boss: Ifrit]
  592. - If you use Psycho Cyan here, the game will be locked in an infinite
  593. loop forcing you to reset the game.
  594.
  595. - You'll obtain two new Espers, Ifrit and Shiva, with more to come.
  596. The left door leads to a save point.
  597. - In the next areas, you'll run into Trappers, who will bomb you with
  598. the level specific enemy skills. You definitely do *not* want your levels
  599. to be divisible by 5 here (4 is pretty bad too).
  600. - The Break Blade is completely hidden from view in the room with
  601. the empty tanks.

  608. - 6 new Espers: Unicorn, Maduin, Shoat, Phantom, Carbuncle, Bismarck.
  609. × Bismarck gives you +2 to Strength. *Do* try and have it equipped
  610. on any character leveling up.
  611. - You'll fight several Mag Roaders before facing the next boss.
  612.
  613. [Boss: Number 128]

  628. There's not much else you can do other than progress the story.
  629. - Better stay away from the triangle shaped island unless you feel
  630. like taking on Intangir and his 32 000 HP. If you're curious about it,
  631. make sure you load your game afterwards, as otherwise you'll start
  632. running into him in the Veldt. If you want his Rage, wait until you're

  684. - Soon after the Genji Glove, you'll find three switches.
  685. × The left one opens the path to a save point.
  686. × Do *not* pull the middle one! If you do, you'll trigger a fixed
  687. encounter with a Ninja (173 xp), and you *cannot* run away from
  688. these guys. Unfortunately, you'll soon have to go through a dungeon
  689. where they appear as normal encounters. Fairly bad news not just
  690. because of the experience, but because they like to spam you with
  691. their ninjutsu skills (~300 pod to all).
  692. × The right one lets you proceed.
  693. - Examine the area near the chest with the second Ether to find
  694. the nc-items.
  695. - After the event at the gate, you'll find a short cut out. After
  696. being attacked by Espers, your airship crashes near Maranda.

  706. possible to get the best magic items. Might take a couple of tries,
  707. but it'll be worth it.
  708. - The first thing you need to do is go around the castle and talk to
  709. as many soldiers as you can within the course of 4 minutes (excluding
  710. the two guys near you when you begin). There are 24 of them in total,
  711. and 4 of them will fight you (give Bismarck to anyone close to leveling
  712. up). You may want to save the chests for later.
  713. - During the banquet, you'll be presented with several dialog options.
  714. 1. | To the Empire
  715. | To the Returner
  716. | To our hometowns <---
  717.

  727. | Celes is one of us <---
  728. | We trust Celes
  729.

  731. memorize which one you chose first.
  732.
  733. 5. | Yes, the Espers have gone too far <---
  734. | But you unleashed their power
  735.
  736. 6. (Which question you asked first)
  737.
  738. - You'll now take a short break. This is where you need to beat up

  820. - Now might also be a good time to pick up Mog's dancing skills. Most
  821. of them are quite trivial (plains, forest, desert, mountain, Zozo),
  822. but Water Rondo will require a little hike. It's still pretty easy,
  823. though, thanks to the new bridge near Nikeah. Simply go through the
  824. Serpent's Trench again (and fight at least one battle to actually learn
  825. the dance). Don't take the boat in Nikeah, but instead head east and go
  826. through the areas you explored with Sabin. That's it.
  827. - And, yeah, then there's Strago's enemy skills. I don't really use
  828. Strago that much, so I wasn't planning on putting that much effort into

  864. - This place can be tricky if you're trying to avoid xp. Gear up with
  865. the Back Guard, Gale Hairpin, Charm Bangle and the one Ribbon you have.
  866. - As previously mentioned, you can't run away from Ninjas. They always
  867. come in two, but sometimes they're accompanied by a Wirey Drgn
  868. in which case you can run away once only the Wirey Drgn is left.
  869. In all other cases, you just have to kill them and eat up the 347 xp.
  870. - Brainpans are probably even more annoying than the Ninjas. Their
  871. special attack Smirk (which they use frequently) inflicts Stop, which
  872. will draw out the battles quite a bit.

  896.
  897. [Boss: Nerapa]
  898. - You don't have to worry about much here. He has only 2800 HP.
  899.
  900. - Once you reach the end, choose the second option. After that, just

1395. - Your party will be divided. Cyan won't return until you're done.
1396. - After fighting the Dream Stooges, you'll end up at a train. This
1397. is where you'll find the chests. Don't miss them, as you can't explore
  1398. these areas again.
1399. - The next area is a mine. It'll loop endlessly unless you try heading

  1432. Boss: Hidon (+ 4× Erebos)
1433. - The teleporters here take you to random locations. You'll have to go
1434. around collecting Coral and then feed it to the talking chest to reach
1435. the boss. If you want a Thornlet (and, by extension, a Mirage Vest),
1436. you'll need to save before giving the coral (one of the rooms has a save
1437. point), as the chest will simply come back if you leave after feeding it.

1467. - Ultima Buster and the two dragons are optional.
1468. - Doom Dragons will use Fallen One when wounded, so watch out. You can

1500. - You can steal a Minerva Vest from this one, but you might already

1502. - Better have those Safety Bits equipped on this one. She can inflict
1503. Death Sentence on all your characters with Overcast (can't be evaded).
1504. Those that die from it will turn into Zombies and there's no way to
1505. prevent it *or* heal it (at least none that I'm aware of).
1506. - She tends to counter actions with Love Token, which causes the
1507. character to protect her until they're dead (doesn't cover X-Fight,
1508. though). She can also Charm your characters. With Ribbons,
1509. you don't have to worry about these two.
  1510.
1511. - The second chest with a Ribbon is completely hidden from view in the
