(which I am still wondering of how did kris and carol discover Dark Fountains where a thing in the first place?)
>years go by until ch.1 of deltarune happen. kris and susie enter their the school supply closet Dark World
>It play out somewhat the same but the fun gang notice that someone is following them, watching /stalking until it show it self at when they met lancer dad
>Chaos King does he evil monologuing and just the biggest lore drop onto the fan gang that this is the knight who made the Dark Fountains
>so the King Boss Fight goes the same as the knight just watch from the background, after all the Darkners you SPARE save you. all was left is the knight it self.
>so susie thinking it going to be round two, she ready herself for an another fight. but for some reason, kris feels like he seen this person before.
>Kris walk forward to meet the knight face to face and he hear a familiar voice from it
>"kris... how long it been?.... is my sister still ok?." he immediately recognize the voice, it was Dess, his missing friend.
>they have a heartfelt reunion, susie ask wtf is going on and kris explain that his is dess noelle sister that been missing for years.
>susie ask 'how the hell did you end up here?'.
>dess: "I don't remember much. I was just walking... somewhere and I fell down into some place. this dark world you called it, I made this place by pure accidentally because I was just... anger that won't see anyone anymore."

>kris, susie, dess left the dark world. they are back in a dark room, susie turn on the light to see and she almost have a heart attack.
>in the room with them is pic related, susie realize that adventure they had is real.
>Dess ask someone to turn off the light, so kris does that, as kris and susie left the room. dess try to leave the room to see the sunset but she immediately back off into the darkness
>She realize that beening in darkness all the time and finally seeing the sun for who knows how long, make it feel like she got flashbang.
>susie ask dess that she is ok and wonder if she be the one who will break the ice that dess is not dead
>Dess said she fine and he be the one who will do it, she need to find the right moment for it.
>kris is happy that dess is back, maybe he can get something for her... maybe a pie?.

so yeah, that is my dumb AU idea I got. also as I type this out, realize that dess open an another Dark Fountain in ch.2 will be her meeting her sister and catching up as she miss a lot of things

Dess suddenly showing up so early in the story in such a lucid state gets rid of any build up, suspense and tragedy. I don't want to be mean, but I think there's a lot to work on with your AU.

as the other anon mentions, Dess just "showing up" all of a sudden is somewhat lame. you could have her only show up in that odd grey wasteland place at first, giving the $!$# gang a side quest to go on as they explore more Dark Worlds
