The Reverend William P. Grogan is a priest of the Archdiocese
of Chicago.
Ordained in 1976 to the priesthood,

Father Grogan has ministered in a variety of parish, academic and healthcare assignments.

His education was received in the United States and abroad.
He completed A.B. and M.A. degrees in sociology and professional studies at
Chicago's Loyola University where he later earned his J.D. degree.Also,
he finished his M. Div., S.T.B. and S.T.L. degrees with honors at the
Mundelein Seminary and Pontifical Faculty at the University of
St. Mary of the Lake in Illinois. In 1986 he completed a Master's
degree in ethical analysis from Oxford University.In addition to
parish assignments in multi-cultural and trilingual settings,
Father Grogan has been a member of the faculty at Loyola University
Chicago's theology department as well as a frequent lecturer to the
nursing and law school faculties.
A member of the Illinois and Federal bars, he has represented clients
from healthcare, professional sports teams and criminal litigation.
He has served as an expert witness in regards to organizational compliance
and integrity matters.He provided counsel to over twenty healthcare services
across the United States on clinical and management concerns.

Currently he represents a range of ecumenical and secular clients
as well as serving as Director of organizational and Clinical Ethics
for the Illinois based Provena Health, a 10,000 employee system of six
hospitals, fifteen Senior Service arrangements and related ministries.
He coordinates for Cardinal Francis George of Chicago the Archdiocesan
Bioethics Subcommittee and serves as chaplain to the Catholic Lawyers
Guild.He currently resides at St. Ignatius Loyola Parish, Chicago,

Archbishop of Chicago, has appointed Rev. William Grogan to the Archdiocesan role as Vicar for Health Care.

social policy, and ethics at the Kennedy Institute at Washington's
Georgetown University and in England at Oxford University.
