You'll either refute the argument, again, or end the engagement as you're dealing with somebody who might not be your peer on that topic.

Philosophy, science, and cultural studies/sociology indicate to us humans have a cognitive bias against the unknown, in many cases. So, you won't immediately know if the perceptions you're having are because it's a bad idea (which it is), or because it's new and your mind doesn't like new things. It's absolutely critical, in this case, to control your impulses so you can do effective reasoning and data collection to honestly evaluate this ultimately wrong claim. Then, you can conclude it is bad with confidence you're not just typing "lol wut" like some effective moron.
