Reasoning: After accompanying Acai in an effort to further their work on purging the rift, Salt had made his way to the sounds of battle that were occurring nearby. After ensuring that Acai was safe, he had come to scene of carnage taking place, with Aether being cut down by Kaguya before his very eyes. While there was no lost for Aether, the fact that the very same monstrosity that had left him half-dead after a harrowing battle had reared her ugly head once more. As it stands, his power is lacking in comparison to the overwhelming strength that Kaguya possesses, and even his senior Aether was unable to make a solid dent in her durability. With Aether's life at stake, Salt attempts to harness every ounce of strength he possesses, in order to take down Kaguya once and for all. He feels strongly about his rival Weapon-soul user, and while it's not under a positive spectrum, he's come to respect the fallen swordsman due to the sheer strength he possesses, and his willingness to fight on..despite the fact that Rosemary is utilizing him as a pawn. Salt believes he can be redeemed, and thus decides to try his hand at taking action.
