  24. Ah. The DC universe. I have been to a great many other universes thus far, but the "feel" to DC is very... different... from most. Some aspects of the universe even seemed to welcome my entry. But other aspects... they did not. As evidenced by my entry to this universe not being anywhere on Earth, but instead in Hell, trying to cut me off from the greater aspect of myself in some sort of gambit, perhaps hoping to break me.
  25.
  26. It is then quite the pity that what I resonated the most with were the Endless, and while I found myself rather a bit more pale than normal it had some notable upsides... which, while it had to be filtered through the Ruby of Life that I unexpectedly found in my possession, meant an immunity to magic, a newfound affinity for finding weak points, another for illusions, and well, let's not get too exhaustive in the list. The important thing here was that I was not trapped in Hell with the demons. They were trapped in Hell with me. And while I may have been temporarily cut off from my equipment, the Ruby of Life was more than sufficient to help me cobble together a suit of viridian armor so that I could appropriately rip and tear my way through.
  27.
  28. When it was done, though, I found myself in Gotham. But not a Gotham that I would have expected. Apparently certain forces had decided that if they could not break me, they must break the rest of the world, and the city was shattered and nearly depopulated. It did not take long for Trigon to send a trio of demons to search me out, but I expect he did not predict my seizing control of them so that I could return directly to him.
  29.
  30. I would like to say that the battle with Trigon was an epic continent-shattering battle, but in truth I simply engaged him in dialog for a time. His responses were less than adequate for my desires, but quite frankly, I have killed worse creatures than him. The phase blade proved itself to be effective as always, even if a bit of time manipulation was employed to ensure I struck him down before he had the opportunity to object to that course of action. Slaughtering the demons he'd brought with him was barely an afterthought.
  31.
  32. And with that, I gathered up what I could of humanity and gave them the tools to rebuild the world. It all went easier than I would have expected in itself. But frankly, that's probably because John Constantine fled the universe when Trigon invaded.
  33.
  34. I may have also returned to Hell in order to steal all of the souls there and slay the rest of the demons, too. Apparently the Jewel of Life hated demons as much as I did, and things went quite well. Even moreso after I slotted it into the Arcane Tool with the Eye of Set, even further amplifying any spellcasting I felt the need to do.
  35.
  36. You ever see what happens when you cast a purification spell on the entire realm of Hell from several dimensions above it?
  37.
  38. Hell's much more pleasant these days, under the new management of Ascended Demons (as contrasted to Fallen Angels).
