- Kotetsu didn't care for apologies nor desire to tie together strings that had been loosely severed in hopes that something would change. He knew how people were and he knew that Saika's hesitation had been the real deal. The friend he saw in Saika was possibly a cloudy reflection of what could be although it was what he had always believed in. To deal with such a situation now of all times seemed unfathomable to him.
- Sure he was being moody, but he was still very young and this was the one thing that genuinely bothered him in regards to his personal life. To make matters worse, he knew Saika was aware of it. There was no excusing it and it wasn't something that didn't need to be excused in the first place. No matter how much pain he was in, he didn't want anyone's sympathy.
- "There's no point in continuing like this. I have nothing to teach someone who isn't willing to stand beside me. The girl is pitiful, isn't she? We should all feel sorry for her. That's how women are, Saika. They're distractions for people like us who live to fight. If you want to dedicate your energy to something frail because it makes you happy, I won't stop you. But.." With a halt to his steps, he turns to glare at the ex-samurai boy- His first friend and what he had always assumed to be his truest and closest.
- "I won't support you either. You're mistaken if you think otherwise. If you've truly called her here, go enjoy her company. Focus on what matters to you, not what matters to others," he finishes, returning to heading off on his way. It was a bitter, lonely life that the armored boy lived. The one thing he couldn't do was let it drag him down and hinder himself and others lest he become anything similar to the very gender that he loathed.
- Acheron finds his wrist grabbed by Saika, succumbing to the samurai's ministrations. The sight of the girl had made him meek, unable to deal with the fact that he saw her get kidnapped. It was a selfish thought to believe he was the reason for her capture when there wasn't anything he could do but unseal weapons, but the fact that the experience has been engraved in his mind doesn't change. Sure, his endeavors resulted in someone's life being saved, but the losses were greater than a simple saved life.
- The boy remains silent, unable to find anything to add between Kotetsu's and Saika's bickering. He wasn't sure who was in the wrong, and who was in the right, keeping to himself in his own little world with his raven gaze firmly set on the grass.
- Knowing the fact that she is meek does not stop the wrench that goes hot, a flash across her eyes. She is lacking, in both character and assertion. Saika should understand this part of her as well, that she never wishes to be a hinderance to people. That she has always kept to herself and out of the way, because she is expendable. Her hopes to adopt dreams of men greater than her, in aspiration to borrow their strength, is something that quietly sits away. In life, one most take what is in front of him. She too, feels, thinks and experiences. But she will not hesitate in sacrificing herself, not out of kindness, but because of the fact that she women are not fighters. She should be home, remembering her father and brothers, honoring their memories on the battlefield with flowers. By dedicating herself to something more feminine. Women were seen in wartimes, but mostly as nurses, as nuturers, lacking the proper amount of aggression to be a warrior.
- Lucy should know on that day, she did not flinch to help Saika. She would never at one point, consider herself or his advancements of lesser importance to herself. But still, she tries her very best. Too soft, and she wants to cry. Being read so easily. Not possessing the fire of her fellow members of the fairer sex, or that kind of subtle touch. She is awkward, fragile, and most of all, she cannot even exit gracefully.
- She knew that this child would not care, for he wore armor that was not only physical, but around his heart. He possesses the voice of a kid that is more or less, not focused on the qualities of youth, and instead, is awaiting adulthood eagerly. So Majime does what she does best, she takes it, with a lowered head. Not objecting once. "I'm sorry. . ." It's all she can mutter, with feeble recital. The honor and bond between men is not something she should trifle with.
- "Please. Do not hate him," Majime lacks any sort of quality to stand up for herself. ". . .It is not my intention to interfere if it was training. Talking does not win battles. Blades and men do. S-so. Just treat this like it never happened. It's enough, Saika. To see you still breathing. So --" A breath is taken, from this girl, who for the life of her, cannot allow him to place emotion over duty. " -- please continue to grow stronger. L-like you said you would. I'll be going." These overgrown Senju trees are good enough for something.
- Like disappearing into, which is what Majime will be doing.
- (Sorata Majime)
- Takehaya, Saika would normally be okay with everything. He'd be himself, Majime talking only made the whole situation worse, he was too far gone. He was too feeling himself. He was going to ruin everything in his path - he was going to ruin everything like a nuclear reactor during a meltdown. Majime's words should have helped in the end, he should have calmed down, he would have let it be, he should just accept what she does.... That's not him though and he was going to act like how he would normally.
- "It's enough for me too and I will keep growing stronger, I will..."
- Slowly his words grow lower and when she moves he actually just fully embraces it.
- Evidently enough, Saika was angry.
- Really no matter what would happen here it'd result in pure, uncontrolled anger. From Lucy not talking to Kotetsu saying the things to him - to him of all people. Need he remind the boy of the past? Need he bring up the fact that he kept put in the past because he simply didn't mind? He was a good friend, in his mind he was, Saika was willing to do a lot of things for friends and this combined with his life was too much.
- Everything was far too much. The death of the samurai, the death of Teien, killing somebody because of an order - the shogun died. He couldn't deal with this anymore. Teeth grind together as his muscles flex, his hand still on the wrist of Lucy's.
- "A-are you serious?!" He shouts out, his body moves to run forward, it just moved like that, no control, his mind taking over with pure rage. "Are you really going to pull that card!? We're supposed to be like brothers and you're doing this to me!?" With his running, he moves to push Kotetsu to engage in an aggressive act of drunken push each other until its solved out.
- This wouldn't solve out. He wanted it to, but at this point he's had too much.
- "You're not even right, fuck! She lives to fight too, they can live to fight! It's not even about her now, you're just saying it is- "he pushes him again, he was really really mad, huh. "- you won't support ME? Really?! Don't think about what matters to others!? Are you really, really serious right now!? Do I really have to say it?"
- Anger, anger, he was young, growing and… He was going to let lose like a canon fixing to destroy everything around him.
- "I wanted to train to help the Senju, to attack somebody - the weak, the defenseless, I don't agree, but I was willing to help because you guys wanted it, I was willing to tell her to leave to continue training."
- He stops again and pushes yet again.
- "What matters to me!? When have I ever? I BARELY do that. Barely." He yells and yells, but he doesn't calm down, it only continues, each and every time he thinks about it, it really just gets worse.
- "Nothing to teach me? Really, I'll remember that back when you didn't stand by me. Back when I spent days and nights looking for you, back when I asked nearly every person around where you were. BACK WHEN THE SENJU LIED TO ME ABOUT YOU BEING HERE! But, I didn't stand by you. No, no you LEFT me and I dealt with it, I let it happen, I LOOKED for you because you were my BEST FRIEND. But- "
- He stops. "There is no point to continue this, you're right. You're fucking right. You didn't stand by me and the one time I hesitate - mind you when the Uchiha slayer that was going to KILL somebody. Who hesitated? I didn't, but all of that is the past now, huh? You got new friends now, don't you? You care for them, don't you? I try to help and you do this, I get it, I do. You don't want to continue it? I get it, fine."
- "I hope I fight tomorrow, because that's my code - I'm loyal, so I hope I do fight and I just die, fuck this."
- One final push and he's turning around. Blood dripping from his palm where his nails dug into. Teeth grinding to the point he thinks he might just break them. This feeling in his body wouldn't stop either… He's heading back for his swords and he's running south as soon as they are swooped up into his grasp.
