"I finally understand you, now.

I chased you across this world, sneering in disgust at the devastation you left in your wake, thinking of you as little more than another beast to put down. I saw the lives you destroyed, the cities you ruined, the land you devoured; and after a long, hard look, I began to solve the riddle.

This was not pointless, wanton destruction nor a mere display of power; you threw yourself against this world hoping it would end you.

You spend your days wallowing in hatred and confusion; unable to differentiate "who" you are from "what" you believe you should be. This is all you know, and it's all you think to do, because to you, there is no alternative.

You don't know how. You don't know why. And this angers you.

"This is who we are," you say, "this is who I am."

I assure you; if we had met any sooner, there may have been a chance."
