You... don't really need convincing if the horse is really making you such an offer, and you grab hold of the back of the animal, clambering atop of it, before a massive rush of information being fed directly into your brain nearly makes you fall off the horse. The best methods to pilot practically every single animal or vehicle make themselves clear to you at the moment you were truly accepted by this horse as somebody who could ride it. It seems something very strange has happened as a result of Pegasus' decision thanks to this place being at it's core a mental world.
