  1. >After a week of staying bed ridden, and hours of ensuring Celestia you were fine, you eventually were released from the hospital
  2. >Only to be greeted by a swarm of media ponies who wanted the big scoop on Big Hat's Blunder
  3. >You refused to comment and were shielded by Celestia, and eventually the two of you made it to a chariot waiting for you and rode back to the palace
  4. >You sighed, making sure to hold onto your hat as you soared through the air
  5. 'Sheesh. Talk about nosy.'
  6. >'You can't really blame them. It is their job and their special talent, you know.'
  7. 'I suppose so. Then again, you would be used to paparazzi snooping around in your business. I can't believe you got caught off guard by a filly for a school newspaper in Ponyville. He caught you eating 40 cakes. And that's terrible.'
  8. >She looks at you with a bit of embarrassment
  9. >She would rather forget that incident
  10. 'Well, at least now the media will be less concerned about your diet and more concerned about how I may have almost turned into a demonic engine of destruction.'
  11. >She clears her throat. 'Yes, well. Be that as it may, I am going to have to forbid you from reading those books.'
  12. >You were about to speak, but she adds, 'And I am going to have to remove your memories of Tartarian knowledge from you.'
  13. >Clever girl
  14.
  15. >She also informs you about your new living quarters
  16. >She arranged for you to come with her to the opening of The Gilded Leaf in order to see how the public would react to your existence
  17. >Aside from your recent mishap, people seem to be accepting of your presence in the world
  18. >While you were in the hospital recovering from your mishap, she moved your belongings to a room near Canterlot Palace, and installed a teleportation rune there was well in order to provide quick access to and from the throne room
  19. >It would produce a sound whenever you were needed in the palace
  20. >You asked why, and she smiled. 'You've proven to be a very smart and clever individual, I have elected you as my adviser. While Luna's input is indispensable, it is also steeped in the old ways. An third, party would be helpful in many cases.'
  21. >You beam
  22. 'I would be honored, Celestia.'
  23. >She smiles as the two of you fly up to an ivory tower near the palace
  24. >The chariot hovers near a balcony, and you two enter the door
  25. >It's very similar to the suite Rarity stayed in during Sweet and Elite, save for a stone circle in the middle with the teleportation rune as well as a massive bookshelf and a desk
  26. >It lacked the vanity mirror as well
  27. >It also had the color scheme similar to your signature robes
  28. >Red, orange and white
  29. >It was very pretty
  30. >You give her a hug and thank her profusely, and she smiles.
  31. >'It's no problem. I would do anything for my little human. . .' She coos
  32. >You don't notice her horn light up, but you feel her start to probe your mind
  33. >You would have protested, but she mixed in a hypnosis spell, lulling you into a deep slumber
  34.
  35.
  36. >You wake up about an hour later, still in your room, but on your bed
  37. >Your hat is hanging up on the bed post, and there is a note on your desk
  38. >You put on your hat and walk over, giving it a read
  39. >'When you are awake, please wash up and put on your best robes. I would like to have a personal dinner with you and the political leaders of Equestria. They are all very curious to meet you.'
  40. >Oh boy, more royal eats
  41. >If being an adviser is nothing but eating and talking, you've got at least one of those things down pat
  42. >You head into the bathroom wash up, and get dressed in your fancy robes shortly after
  43. >content with your appearance, you step on the teleportation room, and are in the throne room in the blink of an eye
  44. >There are some guards flanking the throne proper, and they jump a bit when they see you, but quickly snap back to their stoic expressions
  45. >'The banquet hall is down the hall to your right. You will notice a sign above the door where Her Majesties are eating. Please hurry, as they are expecting you.'
  46. >You nod and thank them for their help and follow their directions
  47. >The doors to the banquet hall are large and opulent
  48. >You are tempted to make a dramatic entrance and push them both open at the same time, but you decide not too
  49. >You open one of them, with some effort
  50. >These were obvious designed for unicorns, or maybe your muscles have atrophied to the point where they are almost useless
  51. >The doctor said otherwise though
  52. >You open the door, and see the banquet hall before you
  53. >As well as the eyes of the political leaders of Equestria, all glued upon you
  54. >Or maybe your hat
  55. >Most ponies notice that first
  56.
  57. >The hall itself had a checkerboard tiling, white and black like the two sisters
  58. >On either side there was a pattern of pillars and windows, and near the back of the room was a statue depicting a horn of plenty
  59. >The table itself was long and rectangular, covered in a white table cloth with blue trim and having all sorts of delicious food, and the chairs were made of the finest wood and had the most plush seats
  60. >At the head of the table were the two sisters, Celestia having a cheerful expression, and Luna having one of curiosity and cautiousness
  61. >To her left was a burly looking unicorn, his coat a shiny white and his hair a regal blond and having an expression of pretentiousness and superiority
  62. >Freakin' Blueblood
  63. >To her right was another unicorn, slightly smaller than Big Mac
  64. >His coat was an off white, and his hair a light and dark blue
  65. >He wore the armor much like the royal guards, sans helmet and golden color
  66. >It covered his entire body, and seemed to be more akin to scale armor than plate
  67. >You figured this was the captain of the guard, Shining Armor
  68. >Down the row on Bluebloods side was Mayor Mare, looking at you with a somewhat tired expression
  69. >Across from her was the leader of Cloudsdale, Aegaleas, who had a pronounced jawline not unlike Mr. Cake and very large wings
  70. >The end seat was empty, and you quickly took your seat
  71. 'Ah, yes. Hello. It's good to see all of you. My name is Big Hat Anonymous, or just Anon for short.'
  72.
  73.
  74. >There was a bit of awkwardness as all of them stared at you, but Luna of all ponies was quick to break the silence
  75. >'We are happy to meet you as well, Anonymous.' She said with a nod
  76. >You weren't sure if she was speaking with the Royal We or if she was speaking for everyone else
  77. >'Hey, good to see you.' Said Shining Armor, amicable and friendly. 'My sister's mentioned you before. I didn't think you would look so goofy.'
  78. >'You bite your tongue, Shining Armor. This is Celestia's new adviser, you know.' Commented the Pegasus leader. He sounded aloof and carefree, but had a soothing sound to his voice
  79. >'He certainly does have a unique appearance.' Commented the Mayor, looking you over. 'If I didn't know better, I'd say I was looking at some version of Celestia.'
  80. >This elicited a bit of a laugh from the sun princess herself, and a scoff from Blueblood
  81. >'Well, one thing is for sure, that hat he is wearing is simply GAUDY.' He said. 'Are you hiding something in there, or something?'
  82. 'The only thing in here is brains.'
  83. >You flick the cone of your hat and smile
  84. 'Something you obviously lack.'
  85. >Laughs, laughs everywhere
  86. >And Blueblood is turning red
  87.
  88.
  89. >After everything has calmed down, you apologize and say it was simply a joke
  90. >Blueblood just lets out a 'hmph' and goes back to his meal, and you start to plate some of your food
  91. >You get to know the bigwigs of Equestria pretty quickly, getting along with them decently
  92. >Shining Armor is much like his sister, but more laid back and having lofty dreams for the Guard
  93. >Aegalas seems to not give a conceivable fuck, but he is serious about weather control
  94. >Mayor Mare cares deeply for Ponyville, but seems to be a bit greedy when it comes to money
  95. >Blueblood is. . .well, Blueblood
  96. >He softens up a bit when you use some self depreciating humor and talk about the wine they are serving
  97. >Luna is ever curious, almost having as much questions as Celestia did, and you answered them patiently.
  98. >Celestia was very quiet throughout the ordeal, speaking only when spoken too and looking at you intently
  99. >No pressure or anything
  100. >Jokes and stories were told, as well as some of the woes they had to deal with
  101. >Mayor Mare had to deal with a lack of funds to repair town hall, again, and with no rodeo being held, they couldn't find the money aside from donations, but even then it wasn't enough
  102. >You suggest to hold a fundraiser, a sort of festival of food, in which local talent in Ponyville would come together and show their cooking prowess to the public
  103. >It would drum up business for them, earn them some money and get some money for the town hall as well
  104. >She seemed to light up at the idea, wondering why she didn't think of it before
  105. >Shining Armor was concerned about the state of his legions armor, and how the materials for making it were going to run out soon
  106. >The next shipment for the metal they alloy the iron with isn't for a while
  107. >You suggested trying to use a different metal as well as the that one
  108. >It would be just as strong, but heavier
  109. >The two of you bounced ideas off of each other for quite a while, even getting Agaleas and Blueblood on the debate
  110. >'It needs to look presentable as well as functional!' 'It needs to be light enough for pegasi to fly!'
  111. >So many requisites needed to be filled
  112. >You would figure something out, though
  113.
  114. >By the time the meal had ended, you were a little tipsy from the wine, and your throat was sore from talking so much
  115. >Everyone seemed satisfied with your proposals to their myriad problems, and Celestia looked pleased as punch
  116. >The seven of you exited the banquet hall and went your separate ways, and you, Celestia and Luna went into the throne room
  117. >'That was very impressive, Anonymous.' Said Celestia in a happy tone. 'You showed a lot of wit and confidence, even when you were faced with such complex problems.'
  118. >'Indeed. You have made a fine choice, sister.' Luna said, looking at you with a smile. 'I cannot say I agree with his attire, though.'
  119. 'Well, if you found me first, I would be wearing your colors.' You said. 'Though, maybe we could get some robes like this with your color scheme, as well as another hat.'
  120. >Luna looked at Celestia with a pleading expression, and she smiled. 'It would show your loyalty to both of us. That is an excellent idea.'
  121. 'Great. More laundry for me to do.'
  122. >The two princesses smiled at this, and you stepped onto your teleporter pad
  123. >'Please be ready whenever I need you. You will still receive meals from Featherduster, and you are free to leave the suite any time you wish to walk around Canterlot. But don't do anything to cause a panic, or it's right to the moon.'
  124. >She had a joking tone with her, but Luna seemed to be concerned.
  125. >You nod in response and teleport back to your room, disrobing and hanging your hat on the bedpost and ducking under the covers
  126. >Sleep overtakes you, but your dreams are null and void
  127.
  128. >The few months were taxing on your mind, body and spirit
  129. >You were not prepared for the amount of talking and thinking you had to do
  130. >Even with your photographic memory and your delving into tomes on politics and foreign culture, policy and language, you were not prepared
  131. >Almost every day you had to rise to the sound of the teleporter beeping, signaling your summons to the Throne Room
  132. >You would be told the situation, be it open court, meeting with an ambassador or traveling to foreign countries, and then do your duties for the day
  133. >When traveling, Luna would often be left in charge to raise the sun and moon, and only in the most dire of status would she be taken along with you
  134. >While the time traveling with Celestia via airship was nice, and allowed for the two of you to share an embrace or whisper sweet nothings to each other, she put on an air of deathly seriousness when you landed, and expected you to do the same
  135. >Luna traveled with you as well from time to time, and while you did not interact as intimately as you did with Celestia, you two still bonded with each other in a platonic way
  136. >Traveling to so many different places so many times lead to culture shock, as well as the initial reaction of them not knowing who or what you are
  137. >While your species was a bit of a barrier to the locals, your advice was sound and wise
  138. >Coming back to Canterlot also meant more problems arose in your absence, and rumors about you two would sprout up like weeds
  139. >You put on a stoic, brave face for Celestia, but in reality, you were crumpling under the pressure
  140.
  141.
  142. >You currently lay in a cheap bed, looking up at the ceiling of a small room
  143. >Rice dividers were everywhere, separating the rooms of this Neighpon hotel
  144. >The carpet was plain, but the walls were painted with all sorts of kanji and what have you
  145. >Books and papers and scrolls were strewn about, and your clothes had yet to be unpacked
  146. >Your had lay next to you on another pillow, and you groaned
  147. >The meeting tonight with Great President Pao was delayed till tomorrow, so you had some time off
  148. >You heard a knocking at the door, and said they could come in
  149. >The rice divider slid open, and there was Celestia there, a piteous look in her face
  150. >'Oh, Big Hat. . .' She said softly. 'It's nice to have some time off, isn't it? I hope you are using it to relax.'
  151. >She could tell you were buckling from the pressure
  152. >You never expressed it openly, but your tried expression and haggard appearance told her everything
  153. 'You are truly made of stronger stuff than I.' You say, mirthlessly
  154. >She saunters over to the bed, laying next to you, her head next to yours
  155. >You sigh and prop your self up, back against the bedstand and she smiles, moving her head onto your lap
  156. >You run your hand down her neck as she sighs happily, closing her eyes.
  157. >'I'm worried about you.'
  158. 'I know.' You say. 'But it's my duty to be your Adviser, right? Not just for you, but for the good of Equestria.'
  159. >You had developed a strong sense of conviction during the past few months, which Celestia admired
  160. >'What could will Equestria be if you cannot give advice, though?'
  161. 'It wouldn't be very good at all.' You say flatly.
  162. >'Exactly. Which is why I am ordering you a vacation to Ponyville right after we get back from this trip.'
  163.
  164. >You blink
  165. 'Celestia, are yo-'
  166. >She cuts you off. 'I won't take no for an answer.'
  167. >She sounded a bit forceful, and yet still having that soft and playful tone in her voice.
  168. >You sigh, knowing you aren't going to win this
  169. >Even if you did say no, she would order you to do it, and even then, she would partially mind control you to do so
  170. >She got most of your dessert when you were eating out with her that way
  171. >She really needs to lay off the sweets
  172. >'You've been wanting to go to Ponyville for some time now, and I've gotten some letters from Twilight about it. She is dying to meet another intellectual like herself.'
  173. 'Aaaah. . .it would be nice to go down there.' You say, wistfully. 'The only Ponyville connection I have is Turnip Truck. Nice guy, but he's dumb as a box of hair.'
  174. >She giggles at your analogy.
  175. 'First time I met him, he was like, 'You must be wunna them mage itchens!'
  176. >You put on your best impression of him, which sends Celestia into a gigglefit
  177. >She calms down though as you continue to stroke her neck, and she sighs happily
  178. >'So you'll go, then?'
  179. 'Of course. As Luna would say, 'But thou must!'
  180. >She smiled. 'Speaking of, since she has to raise the sun, we can sleep together, if you want.
  181. 'Like I really have a choice.'
  182. >She stuck out her tongue a bit. 'No. And give me a massage too, if you would.'
  183. >You sigh indignantly, but you know you like it, and so does she
  184. >She shifts her position so she's laying on your legs, her belly on your thighs
  185. >You reach out and begin to knead her stiff body and wings, and she is like putty in your hands
  186. >Eventually, she is so relaxed she falls asleep right then and there
  187. >Figuring you don't have much else to, you continue for a while before sliding down a bit on the bed so you aren't sitting up, and eventually fall asleep yourself
  188. >Best nights sleep you've gotten in a long time.
