  1. I am extremely eager to start my life in third-level education, and experience the academic side of university life. Taking an interest in social and political issues around me since childhood, I feel I have a deep fascination and knowledge of current affairs, and am enthusiastic about the processes of various governments, their policies (and the creation and history of them), how societies at large and groups within societies respond to them. This has lead me to become a passionate debater and advocate of justice and human rights, which I feel is reflected in my charitable work and membership in a local political party, along with my interest in political and ethical philosophy. I hope to find that the course I enrol in will help me engage in a thought-provoking and challenging environment where I can develop my skills into viable career path.

  3. The courses at A-Level I am currently taking include French, Drama and Psychology. I feel that these courses, combined, have helped me develop as an effective and articulate speaker, as well help show various issues from around the globe, and the social and political dynamics behind these. French A-Level has enabled me to take a look at the political and socio-economic make-up of French society and other French-speaking countries, something which I find myself taking a keen interest in, and would like to expand on this to Europe, English-speaking countries, and of course, Northern Ireland. On top of this, Drama and Psychology have helped me study the motivations and psychology behind individuals, groups and societies, and pursue personal development and insight into them, and explore and explain for myself various sensitive issues both from history and current affairs, as well as gain essential skills in communicating abstract ideas and messages, in both written and spoken form.

  5. For my internship, I was taken on by the Department of Urban Renewal in the Upper Springfield Development Trust, an experience I found to be highly enjoyable and educational. I was taken to various departments throughout the organisation where I saw
