- Pseudo-intellectual justification, especially for not taking your own side.
- Attacking (publicly, not criticism) those on your side because they made what you see as an error.
- Throwing those who are at least your own under the bus for those who would never reciprocate and who actially hate you or are clannish themselves.
- Universalist thinking, because it always leads to being a chump. No way to enforce it properly, as such it amounts to a unilateral disarmament wherein one (or some) sides hold themselves to a higher standard than the others. Often leads to a dissolution of ingroup cohesion, which is exploited
- Cowardly Disloyalty.
- Circuitous refusal to accept the obvious
- Following letters rather than spirit, not seeing that people trying to weasel around something are trying to weasel around it
