  1. Did you know that even Robert Kaliňák joined the ALS Ice Bucket challenge?

  3. The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is an activity where a person will be dumped with a bucket of ice cold water, after which they will promote the awareness of the ALS disease (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, in the US it is known as Lou Gehrig's Disease and it is also known as motor neuron disease). After dumping water on yourself or having somebody else to do it, you can nominate three people for the same challenge.
  4. Those three people will have to do so in the next 24 hours, or they will have to donate money to the funding of the cure. However, even if that is the case, many celebrities or wealthier people have done both the challenge and the donation, which is why this challenged helped in many areas. The reason why the challenge requires you to dump an ice cold bucket of water on yourself is unknown, but it does not really matter. All that’s important is to help raise money for many diseases, as it will help many ALS patients.
  5. Just like many other celebrities, there are many politicians who decided to join the challenge as well; and one of them is Robert Kaliňák. In late August there were many Slovak and international celebrities, and public figures who decided to become the part of the ALS bucket challenge by both completing the challenge and giving money to the research. Among those known people was a Slovak politician Robert Kaliňák, who was born on May 11, 1971, and is now the deputy prime minister and minister of Interior of Slovakia.
  6. After the event was over, it went viral on social networks, and every single person nominated three more. In addition, a lot of money was raised thanks to this challenge, as all of the people who were filmed were incredibly wealthy. Since the challenge is like a spider web, there were a ton of people who went through it. Bratislava resident Dalibor Ludvig is rumored to have donated money to Nadej, that is an association that supports people who suffer from sclerosis.
  7. That caused a chain of nominations that eventually led to Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák, who was nominated for the challenge by a TV presenter called Patrik Švajda. There is a video online where you can see the Minister Robert Kaliňák give a small speech before the challenge, as he nominates Mário ‘Kuly’ Kollár, the lead singer of the band Desomnd, Education Minister Peter Pellegrini and Olympic shooter Danka Barteková.
  8. After that his helpers poured a bucket of ice and ice-cold water on his head, while he stayed the same, he did not even flinch! In the video, you will see him in his usual clothing, suit and a tie, as he takes on the challenge with a smile on his face. In addition, Robert Kaliňák also promised to donate the money to charity and the ALS funding, which is amazing!
